The Rose & Crown is a 17th century pub with a large dining room and garden. It has been lovingly re-furbished inside and out. The half acre beer garden has been opened up so that everyone can enjoy the stunning views and sunsets. The conservatory dining room is now a lighter, brighter space in which to enjoy locally sourced produce cooked by our trained chefs. The pub remains a traditional cosy beamed bar with a warm welcome.

I've been using this pub for family and friends meetings for some time now. It has a comfortable, rustic ambience, welcomes dogs, walkers and horse riders with equal enthusiasm, and serves decent nosh. They also serve all day, which is really helpful. Service has been consistently good, and the staff are always polite and helpful. Good, relaxing atmosphere.

Disappointing this time compared to our previous bank holiday meal. The service was poor very slow and only half the order arrived, had to ask for other meals. The menu wasn't as good either not as much choice.

Such a shame lovely pub, garden and staff very good. However we had the roast and it was truly dreadful. Lukewarm, lamb was stringy and fatty and vegetables had no taste. On reflection Should have complained and sent it back. Eaten there before and food was good.

Heard the reviews which were all well founded - great bar, food, and excellent service. Very good open grounds, great during good weather. Will definitely return!!

We visited with friends from Spain as the Night Jars band were on that night. Nice ambience in the restaurant and we were impressed with the service, as very friendly staff. Food good although the special main course had run out. Enjoyed the music and will definitely be back.

We came in the back way from the car park and we made ourselves known to the staff at the bar. Majority of diners were in the vast garden but we opted to stay inside by the window at the back. Very attentive waiters. I had the fish and chips which was a big portion but delicious my hubby had the fish pie which was not with mash on the top but a proper pie he ate every morsel, clean plate. He is quite discerning re food so I was very pleased. Good experience all round will go again.
