   As it was a beautiful day we are outside which means you have to go to the bathroom to be served. The menu has changed and there wasn’t an easy option to choose that we liked. We both opted for salads. My friends prawn and smoked salmon salad was far too big and my halloumi and hummus salad had no leaves and only fresh tomatoes to counter quite a fatty plate of food. When you choose a salad you are looking for something light and healthy which neither of these dishes particularly were.

   The lunchtime sarnies were excellent, they let me swap chips for salad which was great

   The venue is superb and the food was excellent. We were served by a young Lithuanian waitress who was excellent but we did not get her name. It was early and there was a large group that was very noisy and using inappropriate language that the venue could not control If we are in the area (we are not local ) we will definitely go back

   Another family birthday celebration at the rose and crown. Simply put they are our go to choice. The service is great, we’ve never had a bad meal and the value for money is awesome. I have no problem recommending this restaurant.

   Once again the best food and service. Wonderful atmosphere such friendly staff and the best chefs ever serving quality food always - Thank you to front of house and Tony “the boss” and the team fabulous food

   Was worried at first about price on the menu as a single mum taking out two teenagers for a pub meal but everything from the food quality (delicious), portion sizes (had to take some home) and the staff (very professional and had a good laugh with one of them at the end before we left) made for one of the best pub dining experiences we’ve had. Already eager to go back again, it was recommended by a neighbour and he was absolutely right. Cannot recommend this place enough!

   As usual food was lovely, staff attentive but not intrusive. Would recommend The Rose and Crown for both lunches and evening meals

    Food and service was excellent. Restaurant was full with a number of large groups and kids so was quite loud but didn’t spoil the meal in anyway.
