Birthday celebration. Staff was very accommodating. Food was on point. Definitely will go back
The food was very good, the service was horrible, we chose to sit outside because the main dining area was too crowded, there was not any social distancing in effect.
Also I was very displeased with the waiters/waitresses wearing gloves, they were wearing gloves and touching everything and picking up trash off of the floor and then touching the utensil all with the same gloves on.
Food was excellent. Really enjoyed the vibe and the music. Had to move outside just to hold conversation but definitely will be back for a date night with the wife again.
Took my wife for our anniversary. The staff was amazing and the food awesome. I will be back
We took our friend, for her birthday! Food was GREAT! Service was just ok. I don’t appreciate the automatic 15%gratuity, especially when it’s a small party. Manager was very attentive, our waitress was a bit green, but she was very nice.
The food was great and the energy was amazing.
It was really nice, we enjoyed ourselves. The food was good; had good flavor. My only thing would to improvement on the wait staff just a little and everything would be perfect.
I liked it. Good food and great music. I'll be open to going back.
You have to try the spring rolls everything was PERFECT we will return
Great atmosphere! Great music on Thursday nights!
We asked the hostess if I could get some ice inside a ziploc to put on my ankle. I took a fall in the parking lot and sprained my foot and was trying to prevent swelling. My fall was my fault and had nothing to do with The Roof or the owners of the property. However, we were told that the manager indicated that they could not grant my request due to a liability issue. So, I ordered a peach bellini with a glass of ice and made a makeshift ice pack with one of the dinner napkins. This was the first indication that The Roof may not be an place that I would visit again. The hostess and waiter were very nice. It took quite a while before our waiter came to our table after we were seated. It also seemed that our food took a long time to come out to our table based on the number of people who were dining that day. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict with a side of grits. The presentation was nice. However, my grits were cold and the Crab Cake Benedict was barely warm. My husband ordered the lamb chops and he loved them. The place itself is nice enough but the loud rap music was turn off for us. Based on their website, The Roof appears to be a classy spot but it’s more geared toward attracting a younger demographic.
There was nothing about my visit that would make me want to return to The Roof.
The Roof is checked off on our restaurant bucket list.
This was my husband and I first time visiting The Rooftop on the Lake and we had an awesome time. The food was great, the atmosphere was really nice and we really enjoyed the music. We are already planning our next visit. We were shocked that there was no wait when we arrived as we have had to do at other establishments even with a reservation. We definitely recommend The Rooftop on the Lake.
Nice experience, staff was friendly, a little overpriced and food was a bit bland.
the best for a date!!
The food was AMAZING. The Live music was Amazing! It was literally the best date I’ve been on so far ! I’ve already recommended it to my friends and family !
We went after church on Sunday and the staff was very good! We had the shrimp and grits very good (someone must be from New Orleans). Pricing was high $23.00 should have been $18/$19 also 15% GRATUITY (WOW) on all meals a bit much! We are in a pandemic people were very close to each other.
October 25th 2020
1. Despite having a reservation, upon my arrival no one was at the podium, the staff wouldn't even make eye contact or even acknowledge my presence at the podium; I went over to someone and ask if I should seat myself? There was a couple waiting behind me, just left..
2. There is zero "0" social distancing seating!!
3."LOUD" night club music played during Sunday Brunch, to the point you had to lean-in and yell just talking to the person sitting in front of you and the DJ was walking around w/ no mask.
I paid $18 person for "bottomless" Mimosa's but had to flag someone for refills.
4. The Food was good,, however my guests received a burnt waffle, we asked for a new one, but it didn't arrive until I asked for the check (I was discounted $5.)
The restroom was out of both toilet paper & paper towels, I had to use toilet seat covers for "both" drying experiences and to grab the door knob.. All during this pandemic ZREO SOCIAL DISTANCING!!!!
5. Poor directional signage to get up to the place.
This was my first time here. I brought my boyfriend for his birthday. The ambiance, food and overall experience was excellent. There was an issue with my card being charged for someone else’s ticket, however, it was quickly rectified. We will return! The DJ was great as well!
I know nothing in life is perfect, but my experience at The Roof was just that...PERFECT! I reserved a table for 8 and the process was quick and easy. The food is amazing! I repeat the food is amazing! The prices are reasonable. The staff was super sweet and helpful. The establishment was clean and elegant. Kiland, the entertainer for the Thursday night that I attended The Roof was EVERYTHING!!!! He can SANNNGGGGGGGG, and he knows how to interact with the crowd. I will be going at least once a month. It's the good food and vibe for me!!!!!!
The seafood platter was delicious! Catfish was very moist!
Beautiful venue, great service, delicious food! I can’t wait to go back!
We are celebrating 13 years of marriage this weekend! The Roof was a perfect start to the celebration! The live music was amazing! We love the food and atmosphere! Definitely grown and sexy!
Fun venue, musicians were very good but was pop music not jazz as advertised. Food was excellent, chicken pasta very flavorful and good size portion.
Server was really nice, food was decent. Drinks are definitely over priced. Found something in my food that I bit down on that felt like a bone. My sister had the lobster ravioli. She said it tasted like plain ravioli and cheese sauce. My cousin had the stuffed wings, I tried them, they were ok. The dirty rice needed more seasoning. I had the blackened chicken pasta. It was decent, had to add some salt, but not too bad. Had cheeseticks, which were really good, kind of hard to mess those up. But the server was nice enough to take off me and my sister meal for the hard stuff I found in my food and for hers not being good at all. She didn't want to tell him, but I made her. Feed back helps make things better! This was my 2nd time there. First time I had chicken, mac n cheese and greens, chicken was awesome, mac n cheese was ok, didn't care for the taste of the cheese and greens were decent. They use that thick off brand OJ for mimosas and they cost too much! I probably wouldn't go back. Food is overpriced, but I always say try it for yourself.
My Husband made a reservation at The Roof for my Birthday (Saturday) Brunch Celebration... they only give the Birthday person a shoutout from the Live DJ, no complimentary desert. Other than that, the food selection was really good and served hot. The atmosphere was nice with the Live DJ playing old school R&B music. We dined inside but the outside area was open and looked nice.
an hour drive for average food. Not worth it at all.
I am not a big reviewer... but I had to share. This place is just awesome. They help me plan my special night and everything was perfect. I proposed to my fiancé and I was definitely nervous. The event coordinator help me with all the little detail that I didn't even know I would need. They even help me get flowers for the table and they had set up everything before we arrived. Our dinner menus had our names and "she said yes" printed on them. Our food was served in courses and everything was well timed despite some of my guest late arrival. I invited 20 friends and family to share in our special moment and everyone raved about the food. Some made reservations before they left for their next visit. There was live music that night and the musicians were really good. After my proposal we were serenaded . It was a night to remember. Thank you. This will be our forever spot.
Happy my family made reservations here for my birthday. It was definitely worth it. The food was incredibly good, the Lamb chops were super tasty. My next visit will be during brunch must try the Fish and grits. The DJ was really good and the interaction made for a fun evening. They do a great job of creating a vibrant atmosphere. The place is absolutely beautiful and do your self a favor and request the patio when booking. You will be happy you did. The view is relaxing and the night time breeze was perfect. I had an awesome birthday. I will be back.
We had a wonderful time celebrating safely here. The food was very good and the patio provide a beautiful backdrop for a lovely night. The service was excellent. Everyone was wearing mask and when guest left their tables they were required to put their mask on when venturing away from the table. The étouffée was delicious and the seafood platter was perfectly fried. We felt really comfortable and safe dining here and we will be back.
Food was great, service wonderful but eating a $34 lamb chop with plastic fork was a big NO! We requested silverware.
This place was beautiful and definitely a place to bring someone to WOW them until they taste the food. I ordered the CAJUN pasta Monica. It was watery and tasteless. The drinks were okay. The calamari is not fresh and was very rubbery. I sent it back to the kitchen. The shrimp tempura was OK. The shrimp and grits with a lobster ball was horrible. The ball tasted reheated and not fresh. We left as quick as we came in which was upsetting because we waited 2 weeks for a reservation. I believe the great reviews is for the breakfast menu in which i will never get to try because we won’t be back. I was really looking forward to it being a great dining experience.
I took my friend out for her 30th birthday, I didn’t know there would be live music and a singer. When we get there we’re seated literally front in center mere feet from the saxophonist. It was loud as hell and uncomfortable. We waited over 15 minutes no one came to take our drink order or anything but we did get water. I saw 3 parties that were seated AFTER us being tended to though so that was upsetting. I finally got up and went to the hostess and asked to be placed at a different table. She said she’d be right with me and we waited another 10 minutes before being seated at a booth which was much better. I could actually have a conversation with my date. We sat for about 7 minutes then our waitress came to get our drink orders. The drinks came pretty promptly (the French 75 was great but my cosmo was just alright). We ordered the boudin balls which were tasty but one was burnt so it wasn’t fully edible. The Cajun mustard is delicious though. My friend ordered the crawfish Monica and she loved it. I tasted some and it was amazing. I ordered the lamb chops with potatoes and asparagus and yeah it wasn’t good. The potatoes had no seasoning or flavor, the asparagus was over cooked and my lamb chops though tender, had no flavor. The hollering from the live singer mixed in with the loudness from the speakers gave me a headache. It was definitely an experience. Overall I’m glad I came because I’d been wanting to check the place out but the food wasn’t worth the price. I have a reservation to do brunch for my own birthday but I honestly don’t think I want to come back. Perhaps at a time with no live music, I don’t know.
went yesterday with my wife called in around 530 to change time from7pm to 730 the lady that answered the phone was nice changed time with no problem even said if there was no space she worked and the bar and we could join her there food was great wait was short music live band was nice great service
Everything was good, however our server was not attentive to our needs and she wouldn’t come back for at least 20 minutes to check on us or at least keep us informed
We went on a Sunday for brunch. There was a dj, they were playing the game on a big screen, and bottomless mimosas. The food was great. Loved the atmosphere. I recommend
There was a DJ in such a small space the noise was so loud you could not hear yourself talking. A large group was there for a birthday party and their attire was that of a club not to classy. We were seated at the table for a good 30 minutes or more prior to a server coming to our table then it was an hour before we received food only to then have the waiter to drop my plate when it finally came out. The food however was absolutely delicious!!!!! However for the prices I would rather not feel that I was in a night club. Again Amazing food but definitely my last time dining at the establishment.
It was a nice brunch mean and lovely waitress we had.
Food was Good but the service wasn’t timely.. Waited on a coke and orange juice that I never got and after receiving my food ended up with my waiter forgetting about us.. Don’t mind paying upscale prices but I need upscale service too...
Reservations are a must but worth the wait. We had a very good experience. The boudin balls and spring rolls were a great start to a wonderful meal. My new favorite is the shrimp and grits and crab ball. I enjoyed the sauce so much I asked for extra, it was so good. My date had the shrimp pasta and added crawfish. This was another win. The food and service was really good and the atmosphere is jaw dropping. The music was a great touch and we had water within seconds of being seated. We were able to order our drinks with the hostess and things were smooth sailing. I will visit again with a bigger group for my birthday. Hoping to have dinner on the patio this time. It is a beautiful view and great location. Beats going into Houston. Happy to have a go to spot that close to home.
Took my parents out to celebrate my mom's 65th birthday. They love the ambiance. The server was spot on and bartender was on point. We had such a great time that we have decided to host our birthday dinner her later in the month. The staff went out of the way to ensure we had a great time. We couldn't ask for a more perfect evening... I had my leftovers for lunch the next day!
