We loved our first visit so much, we came back for a second! Both times we had our dogs with us and the staff were great with them. The food is delicious and really good value for money. Ryan (I think that was his name) deserves a special shout out - very knowledgeable about the menu and very welcoming and friendly. It's now on our list of must visit restaurants for future Cornish holidays.

Came expecting the lovely Sunday roast they used to do, but now it’s a Portuguese steak (with gravy) and Yorkshire pudding. Just doesn’t work for us. Also we were seated in the cafe area rather than the lovely restaurant at the back, so all in all disappointing. Shame because it’s one of our favourite restaurants and a lovely location and being local one we would keep returning to but Sunday lunch is definitely no longer to our taste.

Gives the impression of a popular smart venue to eat however not delivering at all. Limited menu is disapointing yet when most of this is then not avaliable its a big let down especially when booked for a special occasion. Not worth the hard work to book a table.

We had such a great dinner here on our last night in Cornwall. Our highlight meal. The waitstaff was excellent. The food delicious and the beach nearby was lovely to visit before hand. Well worth a trip to somewhere slightly out of the way.

An amazing Sunday roast. I had the beef and my partner had the pork. Both were delicious. Service was great and provided more gravy when asked. It was a little quiet in there initially but once a couple other families came in the atmosphere was lovely. Beautiful restaurant looking on to the dunes. Just FYI you have to pay for parking, as the car park isn't owned by the restaurant but only a couple of pounds. If we are in the area again, we will be back!

Really lovely dinner in a gorgeous location. Service was spot on. As per previous reviews, the only negative was that the menu was pretty limited (carb heavy!), with a few things not available and the specials only having one dish available. Request to The Rockpool, can you consider offering mussels and a seafood pasta dish? Definitely then a five star all round!

Lovely setting, lovely staff serving us, but the food was mediocre for the price. Menu choice was poor. Pizzas were standard, but with all the seafood available, no seafood pizza?! If you didn’t want pizza the choice was limiting with no red meat available it was either chicken burger or fried fish. We had calamari side where the calamari was on the over done side, a little rubbery and the salad leaves were swimming in oil. Flavour however was good. What we ate was pleasant but if you have such a small menu you really need to nail what little you have to offer. Would still go back for drinks or a lunch but would not go for an evening meal again as there are better offerings locally for the same or less money.

Booked for Sunday lunch, five adults and two children, in early August. Beach and car park busy but parking OK (not owned by Rockpool, so a small charge). Staff were superb and service spot on. Sunday roast for four adults and two children’s portions, and an adult pizza. Roast beef and belly pork and a vegy option. Choice of pizzas. Lots of vegetables and gravy. A bottle🍷 of wine, a pint of local IPA 🍺 and with tips the bill came to £150. Food was good and the restaurant clean and airy. Decent toilets. Didn’t seem 100% full but enough for a convivial atmosphere. Outside seating non bookable and take away options. Located on the edge of the dunes so a short stroll by a stream to get to the beach. We came at Easter and were equally happy .. and with a big wood burner stove. Lots of Sunday lunch options in Cornwall… this is a good one😀
