   We made a very late booking for Mothering Sunday. Didn't book until the Friday evening so had to accept a table at 3:45pm. We were welcomed as soon as we entered the restaurant and shown to our table. This was a table in a corner on its own. It seemed a bit out of the way but we soon felt comfortable. The waiter was a very friendly, genial young chap. He was knowledgeable about the menu. All three courses were delicious and we all felt full by the time we'd eaten pudding. We will definitely be back, maybe to try an evening meal.

   I took my family for a Sunday lunch when it arrived it looked good until we started to eat it, the roast potatoes had obviously been cooked about 3 hours before they were put on the plate the beef was sinewy the pork was dry and the tiny piece crackling was inedible. One of the children's baked beans were a congealed mess, I would have complained but I didn't want to spoil a lovely day with grandchildren so I bit my lip paid £118 and left never to return.

   We have eaten here a number of times and usually the place is busy and the food is excellent but on this occasion (Monday evening), the four of us were the only customers in the pub - totally! Despite that, one of our party who ordered the Venison burger had it turn up cold in the middle which they staff dealt with fine, but should not have been the case to begin with. My wife requested moules as a main course without cream which, to their credit they accommodated the request - however the stock had no flavour as a result as could not really be eaten. Shame, let's hope they pick up again soon.

   Lovely place but £7 for a small, slim piece of veggie flan and a few salad leaves wasn't great value.

   Very nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. My family were down from Leeds so decided to go to Rockingham Sunday morning. Very impressed by the online booking system. My only disappointment on my 80th birthday that they ran out of RICE PUD!!!!

   Visited on Saturday evening, double birthday celebration, my wife and her best friend, as a group of four we have varied likes and dislikes. Victoria, Claudia and the team were the perfect hosts, the occasion was managed fantastically ... Really went the extra mile. The food was amazing, great really great, comfortable, easy atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble. Victoria thankyou, we'll definitely be back for more.

   I love this pub, I always bring my friends here. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.

   The strawberries were not fresh, very disappointing for £6. The main was good - duck - cooked correctly and tender with a reasonable dauphinoise.

    I love the Rockingham Arms, my friends visited me and we walked to the pub across the forest. The staff are very helpful and attentive, nothing is too much trouble, great food and hospitality. Whenever I have visitors I love taking them here.
