Bottomless Mimosas (Sat & Sun) are a great deal! Be sure to make reservations.
Our wait was incredibly long considering we had a reservation. Our reservation was at 11am and we were seated at 11:40am. We thought that was unacceptable to make a reservation and to be seated 40 minutes later. Thereafter, the service was great for brunch.
Nice place. Casual dining. Good food
Food was disappointing and they had a serious fly problem which made the whole experience worse.
Great food. Burrata app is delicious. Chef got my burger order wrong, not once but twice. They comped me a dessert which was insanely good. A large warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. Overall a delicious dinner but sending the burger back a couple of times was annoying especially since my husband had finished his cheesesteak by the time the right burger came. Still we’ll be back!
Great Value for the money... the food was delicious... salads, appetizers and entres were very good
Great for happy hour! Nice wines and beers and yummy food! Highly recommend
My fav spot in Manhattan Beach! A louder than usual. But then again, I went later than usual. My server was someone I’ve never seen before. He was ok. He just needs to pay better attention to the table needs
We went to Rockefeller on a spur of the moment on a Friday night! It was wonderful. The food is delicious "comfort food" with lots of variety. The beer selection is great too. The restaurant has a open air beachy feel and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back to this location or try the one in Redondo.
Found this place on opentable with great reviews so called in for a quick meal before our flight home to Australia. We weren’t expecting much with the Tuesday 99 cent burgers but they were possibly the best burgers I’ve ever tasted!! Ceviche was also amazing and all of the staff there made us feel very welcome. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for having us!
Great place to hang out and have brunch with friends. We had a reservation, were running late, called to let them know, and they kindly held our table for 10 minutes. Reservations highly recommended for this spot. All four of us really enjoyed our food, and the service was excellent, especially the prompt refills for our bottomless mimosas. Only downside is the noise level but what can you do when a place is this popular?
I was recommended to go here while on vacation. While there was nothing wrong with this place overall, nothing really stood out. The food was just okay and priced fine, but without a great view or anything to offset that middle of the road experience, it just wasn't memorable.
Love the vibe. Fun lively good food and service
food was good, could have had more seasoning
I looked up the happy hour menu on the website,it looked pretty good. They didn’t not offer everything I saw online at the restaurant. The food was ok not that delicious. The service was good the ambiance was cool.
Sometimes it was just a little hard to hear . The acoustic arent very good!
Once we got into the restaurant everything was fantastic but the hostess was a little weird. She told us that she would be hurrying us out for another reservation after us. Someone stepped in and helped her rearrange things so that we were no longer in a hurry but that was really the ONLY strike for me. The server was great, the bottomless mimosas were refilled promptly. To be totally honest I think that the Hermosa Beach location is a little nicer just because more of the chairs have backs there - but overall very good experience.
We arrived 15 minutes early and our table was already prepared for us! However, I did request a high-top and we sat at a normal table. Not a problem, just a note. Our waitress came right over with water and we placed our drink order. Drinks came right away and were tasty! We ordered the Truffle Mac and Cheese as an app and it was INCREDIBLE. I would return again just for that!! For entrees, we ordered Mexican Street Tacos and Chicken Tacos and were unsatisfied because they were extremely spicy and there was no warning on the menu - they sounded amazing. They were very fresh and great quality, just wayyyy to hot for us weaklings.
The atmosphere was okay. Too packed together for my taste. We might explore the other location to see if it's a bit better.
Cool little joint. Server was nice and genuine. Food was freshly prepared and tasty. Everything was good but a Double Thumbs up on the Rockfeller Mess french fries and the green beans. Priced right for the area.
Great service and friendly staff. Delicious food
Great service delicious food
We sat outside. No alcohol served of seated here as it is city sidewalk. Service was very good even though the restaurant was full. Chicken Pot Pie was excellent as was my caesar salad. My wife enjoyed the tuna tostados. Make reservations.
This was our first time there. We were seated immediately at a table of our choice. Both the host and our server Melissa were knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. You can't beat their happy hour. We tried the mac and cheese, short rib tacos, veggie flatbread and brussel sprouts. Beer and wine were both on happy hour. We spent under 40 bucks for great food and service by the beach. Perfect 10.
Great customer service!
Having never been to The Rockefeller our group was optimistic after reviewing the menu. We made an early reservation (5:30pm) as the couple joining us needed to be home by 9pm and we didn't want to rush the meal. We were running late and received a call from the host who said "no problem" and provided a recommendation on parking.
Upon arrival, we were given our choice of the three 4 tops still available. We were seated in Celeste's section, and I have to say she was on point for the whole meal. In addition to being delightful, she kept our food and drink needs met without delay. She provided good recommendations and also reminded us that it was still happy hour suggesting we look at the alt menu that featured items from the regular menu but at discounted prices. We took advantage of happy hour beginning with drinks (beer and wine) and an array of appetizers. I think the first round of drinks consisted of an IPA, DIPA, lager and glass of wine. When the appetizers came out we were immediately very happy. We had amazing short rib tacos, sweet potato bombs and Allagash Queso (similar to queso fundido). All were great. In fact, we ordered another round of tacos they were so good. We let everything settle, ordered more drinks and eventually began round 2, a mixture of more appetizers and entrees consisting of Truffle Mac n'Cheese with Lobster, Manhattan Meatballs, Citrus Burrata Bruschetta, a "killer" Kalbi Cheese Steak, Lobster Stuffed Avocado Salad, and Chicken Pot Pie. With the exception of the Manhattan Meatballs, the food was great. The meatballs were under seasoned. I guess you can't win them all. To end the meal we all split the key lime pie which was excellent. No left the table hungry or disappointed. If you're looking for a nice casual dining experience in the Southbay I recommend The Rockefeller.
Last comment, though we live closer to the Redondo Beach location we ate at the Manhattan Beach spot as they accept reservations. Redondo doesn't. Weird no?
Great spot for good food and drink in a casual friendly atmosphere — great burgers and happy hour is great too
Had an excellent time, foos was good and their mimosa brunch happy hour special is a great value!
The food was delicious and the ambiance is great!! However, I made a reservation through open table and they did not honor it once we arrived at the restaurant. Additionally, it was 15 minutes before a sever came to the table.
Great food, great playlist, great bottomless mimosas!
Great food. Good atmosphere.
Great food. Friendly staff. 15 dollar corkage. Wonderful beer list.
The service was fantastic! We took advantage of happy hour drinks and food!
Great food. Pork Belly biscuits and Vegetarian Pasta was excellent. Service is far above average, but could be better.
Great food and service. We were seated immediately. Definitely coming back to this location.
Ángel was such a doll. I had a wonderful birthday thank you!
Celeste was our server and took very good care of our larger group, she definitely made our dining experience fun. They moved our party to a better seating location to give us room when we asked.
Ahi tuna salad is off the chart.
What a great restaurant in a great location. I really enjoyed the place. Will definitely come back. The food was outstanding! Highly recommended.
Tasty food, great service, bottomless guava mimosas (multiple options available)....Hello and YES
The Rockefeller in Manhattan Beach is one of my favorite Sunday brunch spots! The ambiance is great, food is delicious & (best of all) the beach is not far. My go to orders are the eggs Benedict, French toast, or chilaquiles! Yum- enjoy!
