The Rockefeller - Manhattan Beach
Offering boutique wine and craft beer for over 5 years, The Rockerfeller - Manhattan is a gastropub and bar that offers traditional American cuisine in a casual yet sophisticated environment. The restaurant caters to both young and adult customers, and serves food prepared from fresh, local ingredients. The daily menu is divided into several sections, namely, craft nibbles, tacos, greens, the goods, pairs and sweet.
The Rockerfeller Manhattan has several weekly specials, such as 99 cents Burger Tuesdays, $1 Oysters on Mondays and weekend brunches. The weekend brunch menu has many choices from breakfast to lunch, along with the freedom of consuming unlimited mimosas. The restaurant also offers catering services for parties and special occasions. The premises is wheelchair accessible, has outdoor seating and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant takes reservations, accepts credit cards and allows pets on outside tables.
Overall great spot, though I prefer the newer Redondo location for the porch for brunch. They have a great menu with decent prices. We made reservations pretty early (5:30) on the weekend and by the time we left it was packed and getting louder with an increasing line outside. There is a small outside section but very limited seating, and open window seating along the inside wall. The others in my party also enjoyed their meal a little more than mine - the Lobster-stuffed avocado I think is a little better as well (less creme fraiche perhaps). But again, overall it's a great spot.
Very loud. Not what we expected for conversation. The service was amazing and the food was excellent but if you go for a quiet atmosphere, not the place for it.
Happy hour is the best-terrific flat bread, street tacos, potato bombs And great heirloom tomato salad, and some brussels sprouts and a couple happy hour beers-oh great for Friday night
We were there on a fairly slow night... bad weather and the night before Valentines Day. Wait staff was excellent, food was exactly what it should be, pot pie was perfect. We'll be back.
Couldn't believe it was so crowded on a rainy Sunday afternoon! Thankfully I had a reservation. The food was fantastic, and the service was even better. The restaurant has a nice, cool, relaxed vibe. Since parking can be tricky in Manhattan Beach, it was great that the parking garage was only a block away. It was too rainy to walk down to the ocean, but that was only 2 blocks down the street. Great experience, will definitely be back!
Our experience was great! However, my friend Olivia Zurawin that I was with for my reservation yesterday believes that she left her debit card at your restaurant. Do you guys have it?? Please let me know ASAP. You can call me at 3104157419 or reach me by email at email@example.com. Thank you!!!
A friend and I went for Happy Hour at Rockefeller, it was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised by the great service and HH prices. Our server was a vegetarian like myself and went through the menu offering ways items could be customized. Happy Hour deals were awesome; wine for $5 and food for $5. We went early (at 5:30) and it was a calm and quiet but by the time we left at 6:30 it was filling up. Great spot to meet up with friends for food and drinks anytime!
The food here is amazing! The chicken and tomato and avocado salad are to die for!
Delicious food, great service, cozy atmosphere. We'll be back!
An eclectic menu in a casual setting. Much less pretentious than the beachfront restaurants a few blocks away.
Their brussels sprouts might be my new favorite! The sauce was amazing. Also enjoyed the pork cheeks.
Our family's favorite local restaurant. Into eating the Tuesday burger of the month, ahi fish tacos and pot pie. Great service, always seeing familiar waitstaff. Good lively and diverse atmosphere. And sports on the TV.
Great time and delicious food. Manager and servers were awesome.
We celebrated birthday brunch. The service was excellent. Entire family loved the menu.
Fantastic spot right down the main drag of Manhattan Beach. we were a group of five guys just looking for a place to grab something quick to eat but we stayed for longer including appetizers entrees and several beers. Server was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Would definitely return the next trip to the area. The fish tacos and Ahi tacos were both very tasty however the fish tacos were slightly spicy but the server warned us about those. I like spicy dishes so it wasn't a problem for me just for others when deciding on which tacos to get.
Noise level is always tough since the restaurant is so small. But the food is great & creative and this night, in particular, we had wonderful service!
This was my first time at The Rockefeller. Great location and friendly casual vibe. We ordered the vegetable flat bread and zucchini fries which exceeded my expectations. The Ceaser salad was perfectly dressed (it would be great if they offered fresh ground pepper). Our server was lovely and attentive. I will definitely go back as I saw a lot of meals being served to the tables next to me that looked and smelled amazing.
Great street tacos and flatbread and tomato heirloom salad is always terrific. And the beers are a treat. Chronic ale yummy!!
Good food, and although it’s exposed to the street, not as loud as most MB restaurants. Great meatballs, green beans, lobster salad
I had high hopes and was disappointed. Overall, the menu though diverse, lacks identity, theme and continuity. It's as if they're trying to be all things to all people (Cheesecake Factory-ish). Food presentation was nice. My brussel sprouts were mounded with slivered almonds and there was just too, too much going on. My octopus was cooked ok, but could have used seasoning and have had a bit of crispy char on it. Our pork cheek order was swimming in polenta - wow. The pork cheek was poorly trimmed and fatty (even for pork) but the tomatoes and chimichuri were tasty. The only dessert item on offer was a chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream which we passed on. I won't return. Sorry.
Food was great and cute place. Waiter wasn’t very helpful with my questions about food and my dietary restrictions. He kept us waiting at times.
I did enjoy and will definitely come back.
tables too small to fit our plates. really no help from anybody as our table was overflowing not to mention when we got seated there was a girls behind basically resting i. the back of my chair she was standing at the bar. fair at most
Angel was our server, he was amazing! Food is great too!
We've enjoy this establishment since it opened and recommend it to all our friends
Great breezy atmosphere and really good food for a lunch or brunch. Prices were reasonable. Will be back.
Great food and awesome atmosphere. Very attentive restaurant staff. One of the best places in MB.
Super accommodating! My group was super late but they still honored my reservation and they sat me at the bar while I waited for them to arrive. Great brunch and bottomless mimosas!
Great menu and fun for sharing! Good beer and wine by the glass too!
We appreciate that the manager told us that the owner treats his staff well. My only complaint is that they bring one can of soda when you order and charge for each can. Soda has such great margins that I would appreciate, as a non drinker, having a free refill when my cup runs dry.
Great happy hour. Dinner menu was awesome! We all had tacos and wanted to finish them all but couldn't b/c we were so full! The menu literally has something for everyone, but a very eclectic menu at the same time. The service was a little slower but the servers were awesome! You couldn't blame them for the small delay; They were SLAMMED! Would recommend making reservations as they had our table waiting for us. Needless to say I would DEF recommend this restaurant:)
Despite the noise level, always enjoy the homey atmosphere. This night, in particular, was extremely loud! A large party of women celebrating a bday can be loud loud loud! Wow! Since the place is so small, there is nowhere to hide from the noise.
Service was astounding and he food was amazing as well! Will definitely be back!
Service was pretty poor. The restaurant was empty and yet it took at least ten minutes to get a beer after I stopped a server. The staff was just standing around talking too which makes it worse. Once I received my drink I asked for the check so I could go somewhere else that is worth my gratitude. Good food/drink but no sense of urgency.
Have been to the Rockefeller multiple times because I like the unusual menu and fun atmosphere. However, this last time was way way way too loud! Don't know why...maybe because there were several large groups. No way to dial it down
The hostess, Francesca, was very sweet and sat us right away. Excellent customer service skills! Our server was Amber. She gave us the perfect balance of attention and we felt very well taken care of. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. We will definitely be back soon.
One of our favourite restaurants... Delicious food, excellent service and fun vibe! Highly recommended!😊
Wonderful bartender, very friendly and conscientious. Delicious food especially the French toast and chicken/avocado burrito.
Always good. Great, friendly service. One of the best spots in Manhattan Beach.
Saw the 99 cent Tuesday hamburgers on tv and wanted to check it out. It’s a small bar with a nice vibe. The food was ok not great. If I were in the area on a Tuesday I’d go back but wouldn’t make a special trip.
