We opened our doors in 1995 as a gritty, local pizza joint in Tacoma with gourmet pizzas, special microbrews and Rocktails, and a unique atmosphere that quickly gained recognition as a venue for everyone. After 20 years of business, we are proud to have numerous locations throughout Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Texas.

We confirmed an 8 o’clock appointment for four people. It was Christmas Eve. We got there at five minutes to eat. We were told is the door that there was a choice of one or two tables even though the place was almost empty and that was because they were closing at 8 o’clock. We waited while someone came over then a nice girl came over to wait on us took a drink order but then another guy came over and made it very very very clear that they were closing literally and that it was 8 o’clock and already set the tone for is not being very comfortable, that’s the kitchen crew of course wanted to go home and Felt really like we wish we had never come there.
Server was excellent. The buckets tasted great.
Great place to meet and grab a bite with friends and family. I recommend the meaty Beaty big bouncy pizza and the buffalo wings.
Mother’s Day
We’ve been to this restaurant many times simply because it’s convenient. The service is always great but the food this time was not great. I suggest you stick to the pizza.
The Table was ready, the wait staff very friendly, and the drinks were excellent, and food hot, delicious and plentiful. I love the drinks in the sand buckets! You get to keep the buckets :)
The pizza i remember was always very good, but this last visit was disappointing. The ingredients in the pizza where not was I remember, prosciutto, Canadian bacon, sausage, even pineapple didn't test fresh. I can't speak for the other food as i always visit this place for the pizza. Not planning to ever get back.

We were happy to find The Rock wood Fired Pizza very pleasant for Valentines day. We brought our teenage son and his service dog who laid under the table. Service was efficient and the staff was very friendly! Thank you!

The waiter was awesome! He was right on, and he never forgot anything anyone ordered. He was very patient with what we ordered. Very friendly and fun! He made my Birthday extra fun! Plus he sand Happy Birthday Marilyn Monroe style! Loved him!
We were seated promptly. The restaurant was relatively quiet. The food was great and our waitress was very attentive.

Probably best for pizza. Quesadilla was very good. Chicken and broccoli pasta was pretty good. Fish and chips was OK. Ambiance was nice and the service was very good.
This was our second visit here with a group of 8 people. Overall, the food was very good and prices are reasonable. But, we were a little disappointed this time because our servers switched during service and I believe that because of that, they messed up the order. We had a male server greet us and answer questions, but a female took our orders and my son's pizza got missed completely when the male server brought the orders! They tried to put a rush on it, but it did take about 10 minutes to get it.
Took a friend from out of town for dinner. A lot of fun was had by all! Great service and great food!

We had a great time! It was our first visit, as we just moved from out of state, and were looking for a local spot. The bartender was especially nice, and our server fantastic. We had sweet chili wings, which were great. They came in a little cast-iron skillet, keeping them super hot. I loved the fact that we could get personal sized pizzas with our toppings of choice. We will definitely be back!
Food was great. First time to restaurant. Very nice place. Service was non existent. Kids did not get their drinks for 10 min. Server was constantly in motion but never to our area. Table next to us had to flag down the hostess to give her cash for these meal even before they got their bill. Overall need better training for servers and need more of them
Out of many things
We were a large group and they were able to accommodate us wonderfully! Our waiter was quick on the drink refills and very knowledgeable of the menu, he even made recommendations when we just couldn't make a decision. I highly recommend for friend night!

Met with friends. Our group included a child. They offer coloring menus for children, but that night they seemed to be out. Several waiters, etc. made it their priority to find some crayons and were eventually successful. Any restaurant that works that hard to please a customer (child) will get my repeat business.
A group of us play a game together. 12 of us decided to meet up at this location (somewhat central for the guys from Canada and those in Cali). None had met.
The service was outstanding.
Apparently my sunglasses are a little outdated and the server almost wouldn't let me leave with them, but even that was a blast!
Highly recommend this location. I am very happy I picked it when planning the event and will be back in the future.

Great all meat pizza. We went there during the week for lunch at there were only a couple of people, but the music was blaring thus the 4 stars va 5. During week and lunch might be a good time to let people hear themselves. But great place!!
Seating hostess preoccupied with takeout orders. Threw menus down on a table but never seated us. We had to ask to be seated about 10 mins later. Caesar salad dressed so heavily it was inedible. The rest...completely forgetable. Won’t ever be back.
We made a last minute reservation at 7:30 on a Saturday night because our favorite pizza restaurant had quite a wait. We were promptly greeted and seated. Service was very friendly and efficient. It was entertaining to watch the pizza dough being tossed into the air as we waited for our dinner. The house salad was fresh and adequate - although they should have skipped the cardboard tomatoes. Could call it "fair". Unfortunately the pizza was "poor". I would not have guessed that the pizza was wood fired by the taste and texture and the tomato sauce was extremely sweet - very much like ketchup. We wanted to like The Rock because the waitstaff was so pleasant, but will not be going back for a second visit.
The only thing I would have changed is asked the we be sat at a table not a booth as there was 6 adults so it was crowded trying to eat

Waitress was awful never refilled drinks had to ask and completely ignored us and did not put extra sauce on pizza even though we watched her write it down
We are tourists and where recommended this place. Loved everythingexcept the service (had great service the last time we were in town). Appetizer came out with our main course. We ordered a half and half pizza and only got one. Had to order and pay for an extra pizza (the other half that was missed) Our appetizer came out with our main meal. We waited over half an hour for the check (on a Monday night) and then another half hour to pay on top of which we were no comped for anything.
Reservation at 8am.
The staff was frantic running around with no clear idea what was going on. One waitress greeted us like she was the hostess and we assumed she was getting our table ready cause she said "yes one moment" than never came back.
When the hostess did arrive she gave a speech about a lot of empty tables but not enough servers and the wait time would still be 30 minutes for those walking in.
Now 8:15 and our table is ready where we sat for another 30 minutes with no server coming to our table for drinks. Until she same girl from above the got lost after saying "yes one moment" came to our table and graceful said "sorry there was some confusion about who was going to handle your table guess it's me what do you want"
All we could like is we should have stayed and waited for the 45 minutes at BJs we would be in the same spot but maybe better service.
We do want to say the other server was very nice and did come by the help so I guess we wish he would have won the fight over our table. I didn't pay for this trip it was a birthday dinner which the server knew but yet gave no care to.
I came to celabrate my birthday and it was great!
We showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. On a Friday night, I was very impressed.
First time here ,great ambiance with small tv at every table for watching your favorite sport. Great family spot! Good food and service.
