The Rock Wood Fired Pizza - Lynnwood
We opened our doors in 1995 as a gritty, local pizza joint in Tacoma with gourmet pizzas, special microbrews and Rocktails, and a unique atmosphere that quickly gained recognition as a venue for everyone. After 20 years of business, we are proud to have numerous locations throughout Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Texas.
The place only had one server and she was working and running from table to table. The bartender kept on messing up drinks. I walked back to buy one since the server was so busy. She was rude and screwed up my order. When I complained to the manager he just said "Uh sorry. Here is a coupon for free cheese bread."
It's a very busy restaurant so I recommend you have a reservation. Also be on time for your reservation as they only hold it for 15-20 minutes. The food is pretty good and they have a great selection of drinks. It can get pretty noisy in there but that is to be expected with the amount of people dinning there.
Takes forever to get our Drinks,
Waiter forgot about appetizer etc
Bad service in general
Great food. We would recommend the Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy pizza. It was a bit busy on Valentine's Day but the service was fantastic. We felt that the prices were a bit high but a positive experience overall. We forgot our pizza box with 2 slices in it when we left and it was gone when I came back a couple minutes later. I was more than happy to leave empty-handed but they gave us a whole pizza to compensate for it!
Freezing cold inside, seats were forty and took at least 45 min after ordering to get our food, even though the restaurant wasn’t all that busy. BBQ wing appetizer consisted of mostly sauce on bottom of plate, chef didn’t bother to mix the wings with actual sauce.
Wasn’t pleased with the food or the overall customer service. Needs new better management I believe.
The pizzas we ordered were yummy and my drink was awesome!!!
The food was delicious! Will definitely go back.
They were low on Servers so our food was a little cooled by time we got it. Appetizers also came with the main meal. Great Server though! We will be back.
LOVE this place! The art is awesome, the music is great, and the pizza is AMAZING.
I would have expected a rock-and-roll themed restaraunt to be playing music, but overall a pleasant experience.
This is a wonderful place with great rock music playing in the background and served with awesome food. Pizza was succulent. A great place to eat.
The food and service was great. This is one of our go-to restaurants when we are in Lynwood.
Great place. The service was good and the pizza was cooked to perfection. A little loud, but would come back!
Other than not reading our notes on the reservation where we specifically asked for a table and trying to seat us at s booth after I told the hostess we wanted a table the experience was great. Good food, great waitress and we will be back
We love the pizza and the rock-themed atmosphere and décor!! Will eat here again!!!
We were never checked on. we planned on ordering a couple of drinks but only got one because nobody every came back to offer us a refill. Nobody ever cleared anything off of our table, empty cups, appetizers, etc. So by the end of our meal our entire table was squished with cups, plates, appetizers, main course dishes, menus, etc.
The food here was amazing. The wood burning brick stove really brings out every flavor in the pizza. Service was wonderful, and the restaurant has a great vibe to it. Definitely give the Brown Sugar Mozz Bread a try!
My son & I always go for a meal when we are in town and it never disappoints!
Apps and pizza were excellent! Great service and we got our food fast!
decent food, hefty servings, easy place for both kids and adults.
The thing I love about The Rock is the consistency. I’ve never had a bad meal there. This night, we started off with the meatball appetizer. Have not had it before. It was great! Our pizza was the Stairway to Heaven. A great pizza with prosciutto and arugula. I highly recommend it. If you like rock ‘n’ roll and pizza, The Rock is for you.
Just a work dinner. Had a great time. Service was excellent!
Service was on top of it and very friendly, great environment and good food within a reasonable time frame.
Our waitress was rad and very helpful! We had a blast, she kept our drinks full at all times!
Always amazing pizza and atmosphere! My all time favorite is Bang A Gong pizza. Only thing I wish is that it wasn't so pricey.
Obviously these folks have never had a Chicago pizza...
The only drawback was our table. 6 girls crammed in a booth.
Service was odd, refusing to place the food on our table but instead leaving on a fold up tray at the end.
Overall, the place was pretty fine. The food was pretty good. You could actually taste that wood smoke in the pizza which I found surprisingly cool. Our waiter was pretty nice, and the environment really complements the pizza. I wish it wasn't so dark though. Would recommend!
So many great places to eat pizza, I dont find the Rock to be one of them. Pizza is bready and not exciting. Piz-salad was just ok. Service was lack-luster. I’m not picky, but leaving $100 lighter (family of five) I’d expect a little more.
Food had no flavor. Multiple pizzas were ordered and the toppings were very scarce. Service was very hit or miss. Will not go to again. No member of the party was satisfied. The bread had overpowering musky odor. 0/10. Wish we all got a refund but the servers are impossible to grab a hold of.
This was my 1st time there and I LOVED IT .The waitress was AWESOME and FRIENDLY too.
The reservation didn't show up until we walked in the door. They were very understaffed that day and we wouldn't be seated for at least 10 - 20 minutes. We chose to go elsewhere due to time constraints.
Service was great, food was amazing. Went to talk to an old friend and it was very nice. Quite and easy going, end of night but still treated like the middle of the day. As an overall experience i' d reccomend.
2 of the 5 meals were incorrect. 1 who was highly allergic to dairy had cheese on the hamburger and when replaced had an immediate reaction. I overheard the kitchen staff tell the waitress that they replaced the item there shouldn't be an issue.
We were only credited for the 1 meal not both.
Went to celebrate a birthday, great food, great music.
We've been going to The Rock for years. The food and service never disappoints. Try the calamari! It's delicious.
Everything excellent but we found rubber band in our Salad...
