The Rock Wood Fired Pizza - Arlington
We opened our doors in 1995 as a gritty, local pizza joint in Tacoma with gourmet pizzas, special microbrews and Rocktails, and a unique atmosphere that quickly gained recognition as a venue for everyone. After 20 years of business, we are proud to have numerous locations throughout Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Texas.
Made a reservation and they wouldn’t even seat us because they said it was an hour wait even though there was no one standing and waiting to be seated! They said they didn’t have enough employees to serve us so we were literally turned away. Can’t say I have ever experienced that before!
Service was awesome, the server was very professional and courteous, very warm environment and the food was delicious, definitely going back again:)
Tried burger, pizza and the cheese bead with brown sugar.....all were delicious!
Pre concert meal. Waitress couldn’t have moved slower despite the hostess saying we’d have no time getting to the concert in time. Pizza was okay but nothing to write home about and the app portions were small
Great food, good environment and great service
Would return anytime
I have to admit that I LOVE this place! First - The staff is Friendly - Fast bit not Pushy and we never felt rushed!
The decor is very Rockish! (See the pics) - we felt valued!
The Food is amazing! I had the fish and chips others had the pizza and one person had the Cajun pasta everyone had nothing but good things to say about the food.
The drinks were cold they were always full... they did run out of coffee but that's OK.... who goes to this place to drink coffee? Lol
Our waiter who we will call David Spade, I forgot his name, was extremely attentive... making sure we were comfortable we had everything that we needed and that we were taking care of... employees like him is what makes these places successful!!!
And short thank you... and I have to say...
"Can you smell what the rock is cooking!!!!" Lol
The decor of the place was really cool. But unfortunately the service and the food were mediocre at best.
The staff was great. The food was hot and the salad was the best ever. We will be back with more friends
The pizza was not good. We had to wait 15 minutes before someone came to our table.
Service was outstanding never had to ask waiter for a refill on the drinks. Took a little while for the food come out. Pizza dough little Bland overall had a good experience. Atmosphere outstanding had a good time.
The pizza is amazing!! Wonderful value in the entire experience!!
This was a surprise birthday party with a group of about 12 people. It would have been nice to have the upstairs but our party was last minute and you fit us in and made a great space for us. The food was amazing and everyone loved what they ate. The bar did a great job making all the guest feel great.
We met some friends here and sat in the bar. We were able to get in and seated quickly and had our drinks within a couple of minutes. The food is good and they will work around your dietary issues (dairy for me). They didn't pester us to much as we wound up sitting there quite a while watching the Dallas Cowboys play after we had dinner. Overall a 3.5 to 4.0 experience
The meatball mac and cheese wasn't the best. The mac and cheese was good but the meatballs were not cooked very well, a little soft and for the price I expected a much better quality. The service was wonderful great server. She was very attentive. If I come back will try something different
My "last pizza" before "the diet", so glad it was this one!! Yummy basic Founders Pie! I can't wait for a cheat day to do it again.
Thanks for accommodating our small group of teens and their parents!
The combination of poor food with average service (at best) will most likely spell doom to this restaurant. It all started out with having no ginger beer for a moscow mule at 5:30pm on a Saturday night. Would stay away and try somewhere else.
A good dinner with business friends. Everything was very good.
Best pizza ever!!!
Pizza was luke warm. Margs had too much syrup. Server was good,
Large Birthday group of 17
Table was ready when we got there
You were out of ribs which ruined the visit for a few in our party. It was my birthday and server was told but no special notice, not even a "happy birthday" from our server. She never offered anyone a second round for the 5 of us having drinks. Two in our party had tea but she only refilled for one of those. We could have asked her but she was never around when these issues needed addressing. We had to go find her to give her a 20% tip she did not deserve on our $192.00 bill.
Looking for a spot after the Cowboys game to watch Sunday Night Football. Great spot! Great pizza too!
Came before Taylor Swift. Food was decent. Wrong drinks sent, waitress very inattentive and not that interested in helping us get out the door to make the concert in time with a large group.
The Rock was awesome! I went for my spouse’s birthday and we had a party member who was wheelchair bound. The servers were wonderful and helped get everything situated so that no one felt awkward or separated from the group! And the food was amazing!
Great choice for pre-game meal with the crew! Not too many options for vegetarians but loved the atmosphere and friendly, accommodating service. A great discovery for this Dallas native!
Tasty pizza. Delicious beer. Great atmosphere. Reservation necessary because you never know how busy they’ll be. Highly recommend.
My wife and I were out of town for three days, found Rock Wood Fired Pizza on Open Table and were glad we did. Enjoyed a delicious craft pizza, quesadilla and beer. Very pleased.
Terrible experience. Went for a work birthday lunch get together with a group of 11. They gave us two tables that would barely fit all of us. The tables looked like they could seat 8 total. There was one waitress for our entire side of the restaurant and she was in no hurry for anything. Again, it was lunch time and there weren’t that many people dining. Drinks were slow, food was slow, and all around service was slow. Food was mediocre. For the price we could have gone two doors down to Saltgrass. There were also flies all around our table. Would not recommend for any occasion.
Our first visit. Waitress was excellent, nacho appetizer a meal in itself. Loved the decor and food.
The pizza was tasty. Very noisy and booths are parallel which sounds like the person to your left or right in another booth is talking directly in your ear. The serving pizza trays blocked the aisle not allowing two tables to walk past us without moving. The temperature of the restaurant was uncomfortably warm and it was a cool outside. Drinks were good and our server was very good.
Wow the Pizza was REALLY REALLY good. Meatball appetizer was great. Salads were salads. But did i say PIZZA WAS REALLY REALLY GOOD!!!
Would definitely do this pizza again. Crust was crunchy cooked on bottom with really awesome bread soft chewy consistency below.
Was also SUPER PLEASED that the music in this Rock-n-Roll themed place was at an AWESOME LOW MANAGEABLE LEVEL. It was never over powering.
Great lunch special. Pizza & salad for $9! Drink price was steep at $3.
The main reason I picked this place was because of the kids menu. Turned out to be a good choice. We tried 2 different pizzas and both were very good. I like thin crust pizzas and their's was perfect. My grandson absolutely loved the mac' n cheese, he said it was very cheesy and yummy!
Went with my family to celebrate my fateher’s birthday. The food was good but the service was not. And I was very disappointed in how I had asked before hand when I made reservations to make it a special night, and that clearly did not happen. This is usually one my families favorite places to go but now I’m not so sure.
Very average pizza and worst Long Island Ice Tea. Server did an average job with zero enthusiasm. The decor was fun and location ideal for our needs.
Great service! Waiter Collin was awesome!
Food was mediocre; although i didn’t have or try the pizzas. I had a salad with cold chopped / dry cubed chicken.
The food was ok...the experience was good...the server was pleasant
The food was really good. We sat at the bar. Our bartender was Regina. She was good. The only thing that could have been better with her is to not our beers sit empty for short periods of time. She was very nice though. We loved the atmosphere. My only real complaint was that the music was down way too low. That was the maim reason we decided to try the place out. They had the t.v. up too loud for it to be a rock bar. Go to Boston's across the street if you want to listen to the game. Leave the rock bar to the rock music. Overall i enjoyed it though and will be back. Hopefully to hear music more next time.
Fun night with the family before heading to Enchant.
The nachos we stacked all crazy and was tasty and fun to eat
