This was my sons 21st birthday. The waiter let us know they didn’t have enough utensils for our appetizers and to share the three we were given.. very odd. He did eventually bring the the other two sets. The dinner entrees were brought out with our appetizers still on the table. He forgot to bring our drinks and then told us it was because, outside people come in so there is a line?? The waiter was clearly overwhelmed and new. The restaurant should have new staff work on a week day not ion a busy Saturday night. We didn’t even bother with dessert.. I never write reviews but this was THAT BAD.. I should have taken my son to a diner.. waste of money.
Drinks came after aps - had the ale house burger dry and not very good - cheeses player so nothing special three cheeses not exciting at all my wife had a Cesar salad with shrimp the shrimp were about three days old awful - this place went way down will it be coming back anytime soon
$26 for only 4 small shrimp?
It was a nice lunch, food and service were good.
Great food, service, atmosphere... parking nearby. The ease of access from the rear entrance was a big help to our elderly mom. The Red Bank location light years ahead of the RAH/McCloons in Asbury.
The food was good but I thought a little pricy. I had the pasta special $24.99 but when it came out it was the wrong sauce. Our server was outstanding and had it corrected immediately. Everyone was very accommodating so it was a very enjoyable night. BTW once the sauce was corrected, the food was very good
We had a very enjoyable evening. We introduced friends to the restaurant and they enjoyed the experience as well.
We chose to eat on the patio because the weather was nice. But the traffic was a bit noisy. Otherwise it was a good dining experience
Hands down the best short ribs I’ve ever had. Specifically came to Robinson Ale House for the short ribs for my mom’s birthday. Our waiter was personable and on top of our drinks without hovering. Overall a great experience!
Denise our server was excellent
Bus people and servers should wear latex gloves. Particularly since they always have a finger inside the rim of whatever dish they are serving
Noise from street annoying
Very nice rustic industrial ambiance. Great food to go with it!
First time indoor dining since it reopened. They did a wonderful job. Colin was our waiter and he was very friendly and was very attentive
We were outside during the day so can’t speak of any ambiance. The street is closed to traffic which is nice. It was freezing and windy that day so honestly I just wanted the lunch to be over.
The service and food were great tho. They let us move to another table where it had a tiny bit of sun, and the waitress was very nice and understanding about it. Tipped her accordingly. Would definitely comeback, probably dressed in a canadian parka and tall uggs.
Great food, great service! Denise was amazing!
Abit chilly that night I wish they had a way to keep guest warm when dining outside but it was perfect date night with the music and food
Amazing food and service!!
Consistently good, great atmosphere and menu! Great for families, date night or girls night out.
The service was pleasant & timely. I enjoyed my burger & fries. I especially enjoyed the Lynchberg cocktail & the beer selection was reasonably good. I'll be going back.
Great place...good food...nice ambiance...friendly staff...nice to eat indoors and have a beer!
Horrible service food was nothing special.
Service could have been a little better waitress wasnt the friendliness. Short ribs were very fatty.
It was a great evening! We love dining at Robinson’s.
Overall a great experience. Food was excellent and our server was great!
We sat outside on the sidewalk. There was a steady parade of pedestrians passing very close to our table, some without masks. We did not feel comfortable dining. Parking was also a major issue. We parked in English Plaza which was always a pay by space. There was a lot of construction and it was unclear what the parking regulations were. The space we were in was not numbered and there was no sign restricting parking. When we returned we had a parking summons on our windshield. A $38.00 fine! Next time we go out to enjoy lunch it will NOT be in Red Bank! Unfortunate because Robinson’s is a nice restaurant and I’m sure they need the revenue in these unprecedented times.
The service was great and the food was very good. We weren't rushed and we had a good time.
Excellent Service! Great outdoor & indoor set up...
Great food .. great atmosphere and terrific waiter !
This is the 2nd time I have made a reservation and had to wait 30 minutes for our table. The hostess was no help.
Nice restaurant. Dined outside, so ambiance different than inside. Very nice waitress, Denise. Good food.
I went with three other friends. I set a reservation for 7:30. I get to the front and am told I will have to wait 15 minutes. That was annoying since we had cut short our beach trip to go across town and not be late since they have only 5 minute grace period. Our waiter was attentive, food came on time. Didnt like the appetizers at all. Devilled eggs had too much mayo and drunken clams had too flavors that tasted odd together. We got our entrees. Only one really like his meal. I thought the ribeye had too many parts on it that tasted smokey and burnt. The wine, cocktail and desert was great! Would go there again but would obviously try different meals
Very nice ambience, attentive service, and good food. Indoor social distancing was also observed well. I'd definitely recommend!
Go every week. Friendly staff good food good service.
Food and service were great. Mama it’s drink was also bomb.
Food was good they sat us right away the hostess were very cordial and professional food was served hot and it was delicious. I just a couple of things we were never informed the menu was online and we had to wait quite a while for a waitress to come over and greet us and take our order
Preferred outside dining was seated indoors.
A little on the higher end for what is an Ale House but I am not complaining. The place is amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. That whole area is fantastic. Cannot wait to go back and try another restaurant.
Quality food, but very busy on a weekend at night. Reservation highly suggested.
Excellent and glad to eat out in red bank and support our local restaurants!
This was our 2nd time at the Robinson Ale House. The food was excellent the first time, but a little off the 2nd time. Food came out quickly and service was outstanding. I will still go back again. Fish taco”s, excellent, burger, so-so.
