Good food and variety, lots of selections of beers, and good & efficient service.

Unpleasant place to dine. Wait staff and bar tenders were like zombies- no energy- very unhappy. From the time we sat it started out bad and only got worse
Wrong drinks - didn’t receive a drink- bad drink - waiter very short with us. It was my daughters birthday. I ordered her a dessert With a candle - wrong one came out And he just put it on the table and walked away. We didn’t realize it was there ! People in our party ordered the warm cookie - came out cold. Wouldn’t go back

Never had a bad experience. Food is excellent, service is exceptional and it's fairly priced.

Server was lackluster. Waitress forgot beer refill, forgot to come back to ask about dessert menu she gave, and her attitude was blunt/depressed. (she wasn’t weeded or busy- she just wasn’t paying attention). Her attitude was clearly “don’t want to be here.” Disappointing.

My sisters and I met for lunch, We all got different t specials and it was delicious.. The restaurant ambiance very nice as well .. great service , defiantly will be back !

Cool spot, with really good food. We will definitely be back, and I think the next time we are taking the kids!

Valentine’s

It was our first time while celebrating valentine day and we were not disappointed. Food was great and service was very good. Will be returning soon.

Yummy comfort food. We had full rack of ribs and chicken fricassee. The ribs were deliciously smothered in bbq sauce. The chicken was tender and mashed potatoes creamy. I had the brownie sundae for dessert. It was ok. The dining room was busy, but our server was attentive. This is a great place for a meal!

Food was amazing. Excellent service from beginning to end.

Great atmosphere, fun bar area and upscale casual decor. The food was good and what you would expect as pub fare. The drinks were tasty with a good selection of beer and wine. The service was extremely slow, however, possibly because it was a packed house on Saturday night. It served our purposes, however, as we were having a good time and had a leisurely meal. If you are in a hurry to eat, don't sit in the dining room, the bar would be faster.

Love the food here and the service is always terrific! It was my first time there on a Saturday at 7 for dinner, and it was a lot louder in there than I expected. Having said that, we were still able to hear each other with a just slightly raised voices. (It's a LOT quieter at lunch.) Prices are fair, it's got a nice friendly vibe inside, and drinks are good - this is a good spot!

We love Robinsons and always look forward to a delicious dinner when there. As usual, it did not disappoint. There were four of us on a Saturday night with a 6:30 reservation. We waited for a short while, shown to our seats and drink orders were quickly taken. Robinsons was packed, and the wait staff did a great job of helping one another. Our dinners were excellent, we enjoyed the ravioli and shrimp special, crab cakes, short ribs and skirt steak quesadillas. Everything was delicious but that’s where it ended. The three desserts we ordered were fairly expensive and just were not that good. The brownie was very cakey, the chocolate chip cookie was meh, the rice pudding was the best of the three. I still love the place, but I’ll think twice about ordering dessert next time.

We were a party of 6 cousins for a Saturday lunch . Appetizers of friend zucchini and cheesesteak spring rolls were fabulous. Our waiter was gracious and spot on . (Sorry I don’t remember his name )...loved the ambience.. the unique placement of the gorgeous leather banquettes gave everyone the feeling of privacy in a large space . Amongst the table we had 2 variations of their to die for grilled cheese, a Ruben sandwhich, a beautiful salad with grilled shrimp and a perfectly cooked ahi tuna . Everyone raved about their choices .. we even splurged and split 2 desserts .. rice pudding and bananas foster, also delicious. Certainly not a bargain .. but clearly a great choice and wonderful afternoon . (The only negative was the cranky food runner .. having a bad day I assume .. but had a edge to
Him that was definitely unpleasant. He certainly did not ruin the visit ... but probably would be happier in a different line of work)

Lighting at the table was so dark we had to use phone flashlights to read menus.
Service was exceptional a d food very delicious.

I've eaten there before and thought it was much better. The hamburgers were pretty bland to say the least. I'd go back though. I think they just had a bad night

Great atmosphere, great service and great food!

Robinson Ale House has a warm, friendly, spacious, and comfortable atmosphere. Denise and Dawn tag teamed service at our table Saturday evening with Denise being the primary server. There was a show at Count Basie theatre that evening so there were a lot of reservations and it was busy. Despite the volume of customers, Denise was very personable, entertaining, very attentive, and made menu recommendations to appeal to our not-so-huge appetites. She was a complete joy the entire evening. Dawn was highly complementary to the primary service provided by Denise. A very enjoyable evening!

After our lunch experience, I recommended Robinson Ale House to a friend for dinner. She and her boyfriend went on Saturday and loved it!

After painting, we walked a few doors down, to Robinson Ale House. We were greeted with a smile and shown to a comfortable booth. Our server was prompt and friendly. I am a huge fan of grilled cheese and to my pleasure, they had several grilled cheese selections. I had the grilled cheese with apple butter and bacon. It is served with tomato soup, but I opted for fries. The sandwich is made on thick break and was filled with gooey cheese. The apple butter gave it a sweet taste. It was delicious. Others had a burger and a turkey sandwich. The portions were generous and tasted as good as they looked.

Of note: If you go to the location in Red Bank, there isn't a designation parking lot. There is community parking for a variety of businesses. You may get your steps in. Which, isn't a bad thing after eating their big portions.

Had lunch here with a friend, we ordered burger, Reuben sandwich with truffle fries - all good. Our server was attentive. Robinson Ale is always a choice for American dining with a classy ambiance.

It was wonderful vibes from decorating and service. We were a large party (10), but we were seated against a brick wall in the corner. We felt a little pushed out of the way, thinking it might be because we had an infant with us.

The food was delicious as always. However, our waiter was less than attentive. We never had our water refilled even after requested. It took forever to get the bill and then forever for him to come back to collect it.

Great experience.

New Years Eve- nice atmosphere. Did not try and squeeze too many tables together just to fit more people. Service was good especially for a holiday

Always love it here, even more so now, we went for NYE dinner. Was so pleased with the service, and management! They were great seating us right away even though half of our party was still parking! Stayed with their regular menu & a special menu which we loved. We dislike limited menus at other places on holidays! We were not rushed out and never felt like they were trying to get us out. Would definitely recommend this restaurant any day! A+++

We used to frequent Murphy's on New Year's Eve afternoon for their sangria. Then we would go home to be safely ensconced before Amateur Night began. We moved away and have not been back in years. We were in the area this year and decided to go back - except that Murphy's is long gone- replaced by Robinson's. Actually transformed is a more accurate word.
It was delightful. Robinson's has expanded into the long dreary hallway. You can still use the front or back door, but the middle section is now part of the dining room. There are larger curved booths or cozy tables. It is a mixture of rustic brick, dark wood and light. The menu has munchy items to complete dinners and everything in between... but elevated. Take a look at the menu as everyone's tastes are so different. We are pretty easy. Whenever we go out - we let the menu dictate whether we are having a snack or a meal. I was looking for comfortable atmosphere to have a festive beverage with my husband for NYE (afternoon). We had a wonderful time and will go back. What more could you ask?
