This place has a super cool atmosphere. Clean and open. We went before a show at Count Basie Theater. Our waiter, Brad, was great. Got our food out in good time, never felt rushed. Nice crowd for a Wednesday night.
We went on a late Saturday afternoon around 4:30, after seeing a movie around the corner. The place was pretty busy but we were seated right away (we had a reservation for 2 guests). Great fried zucchini appetizer, crispy not greasy. Absolutely delish burgers and fries. I ordered a burger with portobellos and Brie; fantastic!! Very interesting cocktails and attentive wait service made the visit very pleasant!
Dinner with friends...good food, really tasty menu, delicious cocktails and great atmosphere. Would highly recommend
I would definitely go back! Had a great night with friends! The service was wonderful, and the food was great!
Great food and ambiance. Making a reservation is the best because there was a wait for walk ins. That just shows how popular it is
Great place to eat if you have a tickets for a show at Count Basie. Park your car and walk to both.
Easter Sunday dinner
Food was amazing. Party of 4 we all shared apps that were great and we each ordered a dinner special for our entree. The tuna was the best I ever had. Everyone else loved their entrees also. Chef Russ is amazing. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy more of his specials.
Great food, great drinks. Never disappoints. Always our go-to place. Would highly recommend.
Service was good, manager stepped in to help out but then forgot my drink. Beautiful place but food was pretty bad. Would come back for a drink but not to eat.
Robinson’s is great. Food is always good. Excellent service.
Always a great experience! Denise is the best waitress!
Friendly servers, good food, great atmosphere. We will definitely visit against when attending Count Basie.
My husband and I went to dinner with another couple before seeing RAIN at the Basie theater. The food was fabulous, the restaurant was beautiful the service was impeccable. My husband and our friend had the burger special OMG what a great burger. I had the shrimp & pasta special, fabulous ! and my friend had the Robinson salad sooooo good. Can't wait to go back.
Awesome atmosphere and wonderful service! Will definitely be back!
Food and service were good. We were seated close to our reservation time. I wish they would pay a bit more attention to the crumbs on the chairs and toilet paper on the floor of the bathroom. In a nice place such as this I would like to see an improvement in these areas.
I had the crab cake appetizer with a side of fries. It was very good, flaky with just the right amount of flavor, especially the red pepper sauce. The best fries too!!
My friend had the fish and chips. She thought the coating was very greasy and should have been served with tartar sauce, not the red pepper sauce. She tried to take the coating off and just eat the fish, but it wasn’t the same. “The breading is the icing on the cake”
Appetizer of calamari was chewy and more peppers than calamari.
Sliced steak chewy and bland (gravy/sauce)
Spicy seafood was good
My friends and I came to Robinson’s Ale House to celebrate a special occasion and we absolutely loved it! The waiting staff could always be found when needed but wasn’t on top of us clearing out or tables before we were finished. The selection of food was great and there was something for everyone to enjoy, even our gluten allergy friend! The beer/wine list was lengthy and offered a multitude of options from lower to higher prices depending on your budget. The waiting staff allowed us to hangout and take our time to catch up without pushing us out the door which we truly appreciated! The restaurant itself had an array of seating options and offered intimate dim lighting. I would definitely suggest this restaurant for anyone looking for a great night out!
Very disappointed! There was a birthday party that was extremely loud and our table was right next to the event. Our chairs were constantly being bumped into and it was too loud to actually enjoy dinner. Not a good experience. I wouldn’t go back. I wasn’t crazy about the food either.
Great. Good food great setting fast service.
Excellent Food. Great Drink choices/beer on tap and the service was good. On the louder side for the level of food, but didn't detract from the experience.
The service was friendly and efficient. The thai chili wings are the best wings I have ever had. Crisp but not greasy skin with a wonderful sauce. Generous portions. Great martinis. The beef strogonoff left a little to be desired in the flavor. It seemed a little too bland and needs to be amped up with more onion, pepper, perhaps some mustard. The beef in the stroganoff was excellent, though -- beautifully cooked and high quality. I look forward to returning. Will be my new go-to place in Red Bank.
Always a pleasure- wait staff very enthusiastic
Denise is fantastic and we always enjoy the food and experience!
Nice atmosphere, great service and food. What else could I ask for. The manager to come say hello to make sure we were being taken care of...done! There were four of us and we ordered great wings for an appetizer. As for dinners we ordered the following: a burger w/loaded fries... ridiculous!; Fish and Chips..very good and nice size portion; Mahi Mahi..very good fish; I had the meatloaf which I'm told is a top secret family recipe. Loved it!!
This place was great and they have another location in Asbury. They understand customer service at the Red Bank location and I will definitely be back!
One of our favorite places to go, great ambiance and delicious dishes.
I had a reservation on Friday 1/26 at 6:45pm. My 3 friends and I showed up only to find out that there was some issue with the water line outside and the restaurant was closed. Since I had a reservation made through Open Table I know my contact info was available to the restaurant. It would’ve been nice to have received a call or email as a courtesy.
I made a reservation for dinner before a show, and I received an email confirming my reservation with a reservation confirmation number. When I arrived on time, I found the restaurant was and has been closed due to a water issue. The restaurant and OpenTable should not have allowed a reservation to be made and provided a reservation confirmation email and number for a restaurant that was not actually open for business. My guest and I had to quickly walk around in the freezing cold to find another restaurant that could accommodate us for a quick dinner, so we could get to our ticketed show on time. A planned relaxing fun evening out, unfortunately, turned into a frantic, stressful scramble.
Please note, since I didn't have dinner at the restaurant, I couldn't actually rate the dining experience. I completed the ratings in this survey only because I had to in order to submit the survey and get me aforementioned comments regarding the reservation to you.
We brought 6 of my daughters friends to celebrate her thirteenth birthday and it was absolutely perfect.
Robinson Ale House is one of the McLoone restaurants, but has a different sort of vibe to it. No massive building, much less expensive, different menu. Always very good service, food is very good; however, menu hasn't changed at all although they do offer 2 or 3 specials. One floor, sleek and modern, but noisy - not such a distraction, but don't expect a quiet evening for 2. And of course it's right in the middle of downtown Red Bank, which is a huge plus. Always nice to stroll after dinner. Great place for casual dining. Outside dining area in warm weather.
Had a good time
Great food and service!
Food and ambiance was really enjoyable. Only complaint we had was that our dishes did not come out all at once. One dish was brought out and then 5 minutes went by before the next person received their dish and then another 5 minutes for the last dish to arrive. Dishes should all come out together.
So ordinary, and greasy. I ordered a simple burger and onion rings, the burger was over cooked and just did not seem to be good quality. The onion rings were more like greasy onion slabs. The waiter was too busy with other things. It was not busy at the restaurant.
We came here on New Year's Eve with a party of 6 and it was great. The food was really good and they weren't rushing us out. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely be back.
Went with my wife and 2 kids for an early New Year's Eve dinner. The service was excellent and the food was good. Nice atmosphere and it wasn't too noisy even as the tables around us started to fill up later on in the evening. Would definitely consider going again.
Took out of town business associates for lunch. Everything was perfect. It was a very cold day so the tomato bisque and grilled cheese which was modified for me from the menu, hit the spot.
Love The Robinson Ale House!
Food and service was excellent. Servers were well educated in proper way to handle patrons. Portion were very filling and tasted. Worst part was traffic and parking around town
A remarkable meal, friendly, attentive service. It was an overall pleasant experience. Oh and did I mention the food was excellent?
