The food and quick service of our food was great. The place was quite hard to find and confusing as there was no indication the restaurant was part of the hotel. There was no signage along the street indicating. When we arrived there was no sign where to enter that was quite confusing. Inside there was no one to ask until we made it to the front desk of the hotel. We got directed from the hotel staff. When we talked to the restaurant staff at the bar area they stood there looking around the tables trying to sort out where to seat us. We had a reservation confirmed by the restaurant but they obviously ignored setting that up. They advised seating us away from the stage due to the loudness when the band starts playing but then seated us at a table right next to a speaker that was very loud. The food was great and our server was lovely otherwise. Beautiful location. Just wished it was a bit more organized.

Riverside Grill and Gazebo staff were very helpful. We showed up early and they allowed us to come in and get our seats organized prior to start of day. The service was very quick and the food was delicious. We were doing a local charity event with a large group (>20 people) and was extremely happy with the service. The patio is so large and the view of the lake was amazing. Using OpenTable was convenient for booking our reservation and we didn't have any issues.

When we arrived the hostess had no record of our reservation even though we had an email and a text confirming it from Open Table. We were finally seated but we had to ask for the table to be cleaned. It was dirty. The food was mediocre and the menu is boring. Most of the choices on the menu are vegan which is fine if you’re vegan, but not great if you are not. The patio location is relaxing and nice with a view of the river.

The view is the best in Peterborough. Our server was very good, but overworked. There are not enough servers, so the service is extremely slow. We were there one hour and 15 mins before we got our first drink. I hope they hire a bunch of students this summer to improve the service. It truly is the best patio in Peterborough.

We chose the Riverside Grill for dinner after my son’s graduation because it looked like a spot his elderly grandparents would enjoy. We dined indoors due to the smoke from the fires in Western Canada. For the price of the meal I was surprised at the ambience. It was quiet, which made it easy to converse, but the tables were vinyl with plastic placemats of different colours. The serviettes were a completely different colour and the flatware was water stained. The cardstock menus were stained and torn. Alltogether it seemed that there was no thought put into creating a harmonious table presentation appropriate to the style of the food offered. Our server was excellent! Friendly and helpful. The bread with oil and balsamic dip was delicious. My 93 year old father, whose appetite isn’t great, wolfed it down and asked for more. My poached pear, walnut and Gorgonzola salad was excellent. The Rigatoni Bolognese and Fettucine Alfredo were pronounced good but not excellent. All were overpriced for what they were. The portions were good for my 90 and 93 yo parents but not enough for my husband and son. I would not go again at these prices unless the dining experience was enhanced.

The value was extremely poor. Near 40 dollars for a pasta dish that was the size of an appetizer. The food quality was poor as well. My Salmon with green pea risotto was easily the worst salmon I've ever had. It looked to be almost deep fried with a thick dark fried looking crust all over. The risotto was bland and devoid of flavor. This was 37 dollars. My dates meal, the Tuscan Salmon, was cooked in the same exact method. The Tuscan Salmon though came with 5 stalks of asparagus and 3 cherry tomatoes and again cost 37 dollars. I will pay for good food, and had this food been of a higher quality, the price wouldn't have been an issue. However this was bad food at an inflated price. My server was pleasant though so that was nice.

Service was non existent, we waited for several minutes to be seated, waited several more minutes, no one came to the table to offer drinks or brought menues, noticed at least two other tables not getting any service, so we left

They said they had no record of our reservation (made through open table), but they made sure to get us a table asap soon as they could, which was appreciated!

Our waiter Liam was great. The food was good. Would have like to see more options on the menu. Loved looking out at the water and being close to MusicFest so we could leave our vehicle there and walk to the concert.
