   The food at River Shack has always been good. It was very busy on Bank Holiday Monday and pretty breezy sitting outside. The staff worked very hard to keep up with everybody and our desserts got a bit forgotten at the end. The special lamb and fig hotpot was good as well as the pizzas which came quickly as done on the outside oven. If you get the tides right you can take a smaller boat up to the pontoon which we did after mooring on a Visitors Mooring in the main river outside.

   Amazing food, incredible atmosphere and great service, this really is hidden gem, love the place and love coming back, you really must try it if your in the area, so highly recommended, one of my favourite places on the South Coast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   Was a lovely setting and venue and the food was great. We both really enjoyed ourselves and will be back. The weather helped loads as it was stunning 🤩

   Outdoor lovely setting. Quick pizzas, blankets and hot water bottles for the oldies, Burger to sort out the ravenous teenager… what’s not to like.

   We come here at least once or twice a year when we're staying on a campsite nearby.I always book in advance and we bring our dogs with us which is a good. We sit outside which is also undercover as well if the weather is a little sketchy. The service is good with a minimal amount of waiting time and occasionally having to ask for cutlery or sauces but otherwise it's very good with a nice atmosphere and good choice of menu for both the meat eaters and the vegetarians and any other dietary requirements are catered for. I would definitely recommend The Rivershack.
