Food was exceptional! Access was somewhat challenging due to external construction.
Food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend The River Room for a delicious meal
The server was amazing. Best sever I’ve had in a long time.
We would have appreciated some different menu choices.
Unfortunately construction around the building makes it tricket to get to the restaurant.
Poor weather, road construction, beginning of Covid19 passports all lead to a fantastic evening
We were the only table last night
Service was exceptional, as was the food. There is a reason it is one of my favourites in Downtown London.
This place is a hidden gem - amazing menu with the best view in the city. Great staff too.
We always enjoy dining at the River Room. The food, service, view, and ambiance are excellent. It is a family favourite, plus a great place for lunch with friends.
Amazing experience at The River Room! It was a beautiful view, amazing aesthetics and such a wonderful place to spend an evening out with someone special!
The food was spectacular! Thank you Chef Carla! We had the goat cheese salad, fresh to order focaccia, poached lobster and the maitake mushroom gnudi. Too stuffed for desert but the delicious cocktails were a lovely cap to the evening.
Aside from the food and ambience the service from Sean was impeccable and we will definitely be back to soak up another sunset view over the river!
Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tantalizing meal you could never make at home!
Beautiful view, excellent service and top notch food!
Lovely food and delicious drinks
Excellent place for Sunday Brunch great value for money.
Many choices for all tastes with a great view.
Staff were very professional.
The restaurant was very clean and attention to detail was excellent at this time of covid 19.
Thanks we will be back
The menu choice was bland and uninteresting, a lot of these meals I make at home.
I had the crepe, it was soggy......fries, common, a nice salad would have been better.
My husband had the egg hash......dull, uninteresting, just a mash of fried potato with a scrabbled egg (his choice) on top. He ate very little of it, not appetizing.
Lobster roll came in a hot dog bun, very little lobster for the price.
The scones were the best part.
When I go out for a meal, I want to enjoy the pleasure of nicely prepared food with a choice of something I don't do at home.
Suggestion - salad plate with cheeses/meats/fruit
More vegetarian choices
More fruit choice, fresh vegetables - it's summer......where are the seasonal foods?
Dining out should be an experience.
Thank you, you can do a whole lot better.
Simply delicious. Egg Benedict and Beef hash brunch options were unbeatable choices.
It’s a great deal..love the fact the scones and muffins , coffee and drink (alcohol or not) are included in the price!
Both of our guests raved about the food.
The dessert spoon was dirty. The dirty windows overlooked some beautiful construction. For our steak frites both waiters came out to apologize for the wait as it was taking quite a time to be served which I would have been fine with had the rest of the meal not been unpleasant.
They brought out diet Pepsi that was so watered down it looked like dirty water and was see through. The appetizers were fantastic and I would rave about them to friends... but my cut of steak had a floss-like stringyness through it. I pulled as much of that out as I could.
Their dessert was false advertising as Eton Mess isn't just a bunch of meringue crushed on a plate with fruit on it. There's meant to be whipped cream so it's not just a sugary horrible mess. My partner has the biggest sweet tooth I know and loves meringue and also thought it was disgustingly sweet. They saw I ate the fruits around it and when I complained the first waiter laughed and said it sounds like she'd like it because she has a sweet tooth. It's not the lack of a sweet tooth, as again my partner has the biggest sweet tooth and couldn't even handle a second bite.
Honestly I'm fairly poor and this was a HUGE treat because I was excited about the Wagyu. Like a once a year treat... and the appetizers being good doesn't make up for a disgusting sweet dessert and a stringy skirt steak is the worst cut so I guess sucks to be me because my partner's piece had very little of the cow flesh floss.
Next time we will hit up kraft pharmacy as they have delicious fancy food that tastes good, has amazing texture and isn't a literal waste of money an patience and we will never come here again. I could have dealt with the dirty utensils, the watery pop, and even the steak floss that was disappointing but when the inedible dessert came out and it wasn't even the dessert advertised, that's the moment I decided a bad review anywhere I could find to leave it.
We were delighted there were vegan options for London Liscious at the River Room and… it was delicious! The salad and chocolate mousse were amazing, the service friendly and efficient, and the ambiance was lovely.
I was there for lunch and my friend and I both had lobster on the best little warmed buns. Very filling. Had a nice cold beer. Very reasonably priced. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely go back and will recommend The River Room to friends.
Their londlicious menu had great options on it. Loved the zucchini fritters!
Amazing service and outstanding food! Have gone back a few times now and have been impressed every time.
Excellent food. Creative but accessible. The tables are very comfortable. The view is wonderful.
Extremely peaceful place
My mom and I had brunch there and it was lovely. Food was excellent and the view is one of those few beautiful places that still exist in London. Will be much improved when the work around the Museum is completed. We highly recommend it and will return.
Highly recommended for a special occasion for amazing food and service!
Beautiful dining room and excellent service from Our server Michelle. A real professional! The food was beautifully presented and the portions were ample- we had enough for a light lunch of leftovers the next day. Overall a great experience and we look forward to returning!
We opted for the Londonlicious menu—fried chicken for him and mussels for me to start, then (Wagyu) steak frites, and peach cobbler. Each course was delicious, but the steak … In my hubby’s words, “… melt in your mouth.” We can’t wait to go back and sample from the rest of the menu. Also looking forward to the completion of the exterior renovations. Having to navigate gravel in 4” heels can be overlooked, though, when your dining experience is this enjoyable.
Good view once you can both sit facing the river. Good protocol for IPAC measures. Construction outside makes getting there a challenge after the museum closes.
Michelle is so wonderful. Food was excellent. Also love the Chardonnay
Everything was exceptional. But… would have preferred to be at their own place instead of the asphalt outside of Craft Farmacy. Will definitely try again.
We had an excellent dinner and wonderful service! Thank you!
The food was amazing, the server was out of this world good, would definitely go back… The lobster rolls are to die for.
🔥🔥🔥 wow. Just go and get the duck.
The River Room came highly recommended by a co-worker. I was not disappointed. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant
Went for happy hour appetizers and drinks. Half price selected appetizers and half price selected bottles of wine! Ordered quite a few appetizers including the charcuterie board, which was amazing! Definitely recommend the spinach, pear and goat cheese salad. Will be back!
Best brunch I’ve ever had! The braised beef was so tender and flavourful. The mini muffins and scones and such a nice addition to the table. Our server was fantastic and went above and beyond at a simple request we had for a dip for our fries. Nice and quiet atmosphere.
Went for a birthday dinner - great menu, everything was very fresh tasting and good service.
First time at the River Room and was very impressed! Great portion sizes, service and the view was really nice overlooking the thames river!
The food is amazing.
Excellent service with Greg, knowledgeable and very friendly.
Food was excellent!
Fantastic place to have a meal. Great food, great service, great view. Trifecta!
Low key, classy place to dine. Excellent creative food choices.
We had a great meal! The staff was wonderful - we will definitely come back!
