   This restaurant was great, Tori from booking was absolutely fabulous. My only issue was our server insisting that my mother and sister take off their hats. They were both wearing black hats, nothing obnoxious, and I checked the website before booking RE dress code and it only made mention of gentleman not being permitted to wear them. I felt bad because they both started off the dinner embarrassed, which was a bummer since it was her birthday dinner. Throughout the evening other men dined in ball caps, and cowboy hats. That should really be updated on the website or be enforced throughout the restaurant.

   Absolutely everything we ate was perfection. We started with the Crab Cake appetizer and it was all crab, no filler, very delicious. We also ordered the Waygu Meatballs again fabulous - moist and so favorable. We all had fish this night and enjoyed the Dover Sole and Chilean Sea Bass. So many sides we had to try and one was better than the other. Service was prompt and professional. A little on the pricey side but we knew that going in. Great experience.

   The Riverhouse is a great place to dine with friends. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is energetic but still accommodates conversation. This time I had the Dry Aged Prime Rib Eye, one of the best I have ever had. The same was true for our guests. We will go back again and again,

   First sat us upstairs which was empty. We had to move tables because you could feel every vibration which was unpleasant. Then we were sat in the way back near an empty bar despite multiple tables open in the main dining room. Sent the first drink back bc it was too smoky. Food was excellent. Salad portion small but entrees were delicious. Halibut and filet both cooked perfectly. Quite expensive overall and I think we would go back but there are so many other places we would likely go before sadly…

    Celebrated my 60th birthday dinner. From the time we walked in the door to being seated. Our wonderful waiter gave us excellent service! Food was excellent! Can’t wait to go back!

    This is one of my favorite places for dinner - brunch was awful. The menu is sub-par at best. We ordered the eggs, toast and sausage and lump crab cake Benedict. The hollandaise was awful, one of the worst I’ve ever had. It had 2 pieces of crab each and the poached eggs were not cooked well- the white was still uncooked. My husbands toast didn’t come out, we had to ask for it. His sausage was completely raw. We had to flag down a waitress and instead of making him a new plate, they cooked his sausage and reserved it burnt. It’s clear they are cooking it on their steak grill and have no idea how to cook sausage. By the time his food came back out (his eggs were now cold) i was done picking through my food. The manager came and said, “im sorry it didn’t meet your expectations” and that was it. Very disappointing since their dinner menu is fantastic. Waffle house is better- will never return.

    Fantastic Saturday brunch at The River House! Shrimp & grits, eggs Benedict, two-egg special and cheddar omelette plus Bloody Mary bar. All fantastic, beautiful restaurant with natural light.

    Amazing! This might be my new favorite place! Everything was delicious! The only thing I would recommend is to make sure there is lobster in the lobster bisque. When scooping the soup sometimes the lobster doesn’t make it in there I guess. However they took care of it quickly by bringing us some lobster to put in the soup. I loved how classy this place is and how attentive yet unobtrusive the staff was. I highly recommend eating here!

    The food was excellent however our server was terrible. We never received the popovers we ordered. We had a nice bottle of wine but after pouring the initial glass, the server never came by to refill our wine glasses. We had to get up from our seat to reach the wine chiller to pour ourselves additional glasses. She was not attentive and not very busy so there was excuse. Fortunately the main courses were excellent.

    Bricktops is one of my favorite Nashville restaurants. I usually eat lunch or dinner at least once a week at the West End location. Wanted to give River House a try for dinner. Initially very disappointed that for a party of 6 they wanted to take my credit card for a $500 cancellation fee. This is very unreasonable in my opinion as things come up in life. Thankfully we were able to make the dinner. I was actually disappointed in the level of service as it was not up to the standard Bricktops service level (which is excellent). One person in our party was brought the wrong drink and simply asked if that was ok. and service was a bit slow for not being busy. Also, we requested a bottle of wine with dinner and apparently the server forgot that we asked about a specific bottle and we had to ask for it a second time with our dinner. The food was excellent. I loved that there were some staples of Bricktops there and I had the Ribeye and it was quite possibly one of the best steaks I've had in Nashville.

    The food was fantastic, although extremely expensive. The service was slow and inattentive. My daughter sat with three empty water glasses in front of her until we asked for them to be refilled. This was just one of the many examples of the nonexistent service we received.

    We eat out every week and I review good and bad. This related to Bricktops. Unfortunately this was a major disappointment. First off There popovers (1 out of 10) were burnt and they tasted burnt, the server told us they always look that way. Well golden brown is how they should look not like espresso black. They were taken away and we were not charged. The young man making the Caesar salad was good at his job only problem everything was pre measured. Plus no coddled egg offered. No way to add items you like more or less of in your salad. Salad was good not great. (4 out of 10) Prime rib and loaded baked potato and hash browns arrived. Prime rib was excellent (8 out of 10) baked (6 out of 10) hash browns (5 out of 10) Desert was offered but really nothing special. Carrot cake , key lime pie ,cookie, bread pudding. Yawn. This was not mistakes and give it a second look. Which I have done many times to turned out well. No this is poor kitchen decisions, weak menu planning almost corporate like. This is a DNR

    I eat out a lot due to my work travel, and this was literally the best meal I’ve had in at least a year. Went there with my daughter, niece, and my niece’s husband. We started with a dozen oysters. They were a little salty for my taste but the others loved them. My daughter and I split the sushi tuna roll and my niece and her husband split a wedge salad. Thumbs up on both. Then my daughter and I split the sautéed halibut, and OMG, literally the best halibut I’ve had in years. And I was born and raised in Alaska, so that’s saying something. My niece had the filet. It was perfect. Her husband had the crab cakes. Also excellent. Our sides were mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach. I usually do not care for restaurant mashed potatoes but these were on point. The spinach good but not great. I will definitely return.

    Good food... pricey, but that was expected. The crab cake appetizer, delicious. Mac and cheese side, so good. I had the Filet amd my husband has the New York Strip. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted good.

    We had lunch, birthday celebration - I did have reservations. I think a few tables open so possibly get in without them. The food was delicious- exceeded expectations - had fish and beef dishes. Shrimp appetizer and popovers. Service was very good. We will dine here again!

    We had a leisurely quiet Saturday brunch with excellent service. Skip the line at Pancake Pantry. Believe me you will be glad you dod. The shrimp cocktail and eggs Benedict were divine. Best of all is the Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar.

    It is not worth the money. A Steak will cost at least 55 dollars, and that does not include a 20 dollar salad, or any of the 10 dollar sides, let alone drinks. All the food and service was fine, but nothing to really write home about. I really expected more from this restaurant, and was extremely disappointed. I love fine dining, but there are significantly better restaurants in the area for the same price point.

    The description made it seem as if attire was important, it was not. People were in there in basketball shorts and t-shirts. The clientele is not at all that discerning. You pretty much could wear whatever. The place is nice, but no dress code appears to be inforced, that is either a negative or positive. You decide.
