The food was absolutely awful and was insanely overpriced. $18 for 6 shrimp. $17 for 15 grilled shishito peppers. Dishes and cups were dirty. Service was very poor. Embarrassed I took a guest here.. do not go here!!!!!
Food was not good and was expensive. If you can’t service a restaurant you should close until you properly can
For $95 per person it was the worst buffet ever. Money for value not at all. Total rip-off. Better off at Holiday Inn.
Very cute location near the river walk and great vegan options. Loved the corn fritters!
Dinner for 4. We sat inside for approximately 40 mins before I finally I got up and went to the bar staff and asked for a server. She was nice but didn’t know the menu or specials or basically anything about the drinks. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The apps came out about 10 mins before the drinks ! Food wasn’t special, stake was fatty and was brought out rare without asking how we wanted it cooked. We were lead to believe it didn’t come with veggies so we ordered 2 sides of asparagus which was already a side on the stake. The “shrimp bowl” was fried shrimp on top of fries in a bowl. Desert was basic crème brûlée . Very over rated and it’s a shame because of the location.
Location awesome, menu / food great but the service was very poor. If they can fix the service issues they have a fantastic opportunity 🤞
Food and location are excellent. The server was nice but the place needs a bit more managerial direction.
Great place by the water. Good service and vegetarian selections.
Loved our waitress that was there for just 4 hours but nailed it!
We loved the ambiance!
Excellent food in a beautiful vibrant setting adjacent to canal. Service friendly, but chaotic.
There were 100 flies all over the table, we couldn’t eat our food. While the waitress was pleasant, the service was mediocre at best. Understaffed, place seemed dirty due to all the flies everywhere, I’ve been to other outdoor dining restaurants and have never seen flies like that. Would NOT recommend and will NEVER go back.
Nice staff, but not knowledgeable at all. Kitchen messed up the order and had to redo. Taste was ok, but did not match the premium price
We ate out outdoors and watched the boats. The ambience was wonderful, the server was spectacular, and the food (two of us had the salmon) was outstanding. The only drawback was that they didn't have coffee. The server explained that the restaurant is now owned by the workers and they were trying to get established. I certainly hope they make it. You can't beat the location - secluded, scenic, and charming. (Parking is bit of a hassle. Also, it is not inexpensive. We had two salmon dinners, one vegan dinner, one salad with chicken, three glasses of wine, one mixed drink and one soda. The bill for the 4 of us was over $200). Nevertheless, I would go back again.
Had brunch here a few weeks earlier, which was fine. This time waited 20 minutes at the table before server offered a drink. Average dinner menu choices. The salmon was recommended but was uninspired (served with raw green beens) and had me sick in the bathroom for hours afterwards. Very disappointed in my birthday dinner.
Great ambiance and location, but the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. After sitting us, nobody came to the table for 35 minutes. No water, no intro to the staff, nothing. We tried flagging people down multiple times and they brushed us off. The entire restaurant was experiencing the same experience so it wasn't just our table.
We placed all our appetizers, dinner, and drinks at the same time because we didn't know when they'd come back again. Drinks were good, only two of the three appetizers came out though they were in a timely fashion. Water wasn't received until we got our main meal and I asked for the 3rd time which was over a hour into us sitting. The food was also good.
Can't see how I'd recommend to anyone, go to any of the other restaurants in the area and enjoy the experience.
Won’t be back. Food was mediocre. Service was mediocre. Nice outdoor patio.
Excellent food. Ordered both vegan and non vegan. Outstanding food. Best Vegan food I have ever had!
The menu is absolutely the worst I’ve ever seen in the restaurant business. I read the reviews for example and I said to my wife I’d like to try those sliders. They are nowhere on the menu but our server got them for us. Had our server been at all attentive it would’ve cost a lot more but we were left thirsty most of the meal. I asked for a light beer. Actually a bud light but that wasn’t available so I said I’ll take any light beer .? I was given a nice one. When was long done I finally flagged our server down and tried to get another but alas I apparently drank the only one.😀 so she brought me something else . It wasn’t very good in my opinion but I was thirsty. We went back a week later and tried the place again. Same slow service-same no beer menu -and then the same confusing mixed up menu. There are items that other diners have tried and said nice things about, but it’s impossible to find because there is no paper menu .Finally $120.00 for vegan shrimp and four sliders and two mismatched beers and a glass of wine is a little much for SLOW service.
Amazing vegan options and great outdoor seating! Highly recommend the brussels and the plant based Ocean to Village platter! The fritters were so tasty.
We aren't fully vegan so the prices were surprisingly high, but I understand the ingredients normally cost more. The food was good, and dessert was awesome! We would go back and try other things, but it'll be a little since it's a bit more expensive.
Food was mediocre and extremely
Service extremely slow. Menu and service staff unaware of changes.
Most likely would not visit again. Still continue to support small business but this business needs to support itself first.
You don't have to be a vegetarian or vegan to enjoy this food, trust me!! If you like seafood, order the tempura shrimp which is to die for!! It tastes so good you wouldn't know it wasn't really shrimp except for not having any fishy taste. If you like meat, order the avocado burger with fries that are as good or better than any I have ever tasted before. Eating outside watching the boats go by is also a treat so if you want a truly unique dining experience that will make you want to come back again and again, this is your place!! BTW, I am not a friend or relative of anyone that works there so this is totally an objective non-biased review.
We sat outside and it's very beautiful scenery. We ordered the "chicken" sandwich, the roasted veggies in a curry sauce, and corn fritters. The food was delicious. Very tasty and good use of ingredients to bring out textures and flavors. Everything was so delicious, we ordered more food to take home. The service was good and all-in-all a nice, local restaurant in a nice area of the riverfront.
We shall definitely go back, and this could be our new vegan place.
The food was fair.
Beautiful ambience. Menu is confusing and our server could not help much in terms of describing the choices. The cocktails were very weak, but not priced so. The place has great potential.
For a relaxing evening with friends, this is the place to go. The food was excellent!
The menu is limited and the price is very high for veggies.
Arrived a little late, no problem. Seating outside at a safe distance, no problem. Lovely succulent octopus for a starter, Affordable and delicious wine, More than any human can eat fruitti de mare vegan, Lovely evening, attentive wait staff, beautiful river view.
This is simply THE BEST vegetarian restaurant in the US. Even if you are not vegetarian, you are going to be delighted with the "fake" meats they have. I had shrimp and duck, and as far as I can remember fro when I used to eat meats, what Josh cooks owes nothing to it. More, super flavorful food from entrees to dessert. Ah, and an amazing customer service. You MUST try their menu!
Romantic place, the food was great, the attention was ok maybe because of the date
Very beautiful scenery, great good besides the candy wrapper inside my dessert and overall ok service. A little pricey... I would recommend trying this restaurant out for special occasions, my girlfriend and I were very pleased.
Besides the short-staffing, the restaurant, overall, was great
It was an amazing, hearty meal right on the river!
The food was absolutely incredible. The outdoor seating was magical. The tables outside had plenty of distance between them. We were surprised by the quality of food and options as vegan we appreciate this restaurant!
Location was Great.
Drinks and food OK.
Service is Good.
Limited staff I think is holding them back from being better. It looked like the staff was wearing many hats. The menu was very misleading - they need to hire someone to re-write their menu. It is 100% vegan but you could never tell that by the menu becasue instead of describing the meats what it really is they refer to it as fish, shrimp and chicken which totally confused us. The food tasted great, especially the shrimp.
Service was not good. Waited an hour fir our food.
What a wonderful outdoor place to dine on Vegan food and incredible craft cocktails. A must visit - even if you are not Vegan.
Thank you so much Natasha for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you very soon.... Management
Great atmosphere in an old riverfront mansion. The setting is so fabulous, lots of character, beautiful architecture, gigantic stag horn ferns, unbelievable food and an insane $35 dessert that was worth every penny!!!
We are so glad you enjoyed are efforts and passion. We do are best everyday to bring the best that we can provide.
The outdoor patio on the river is a super venue, the food was good, prices were reasonable and our server Kim was great but they had Sirius radio on and all they played were ads for Sirius radio, no music. It ruined the ambiance and the staff had no idea how to turn it off or lower the volume and honestly that was enough for me not to go back. What a shame.
