The Rise Eatery
Guests reap the rewards of Executive Chef Dan Leung’s limitless imagination and 15-plus years of cooking experience. The global fusion offerings celebrate the ethnic diversity of Vancouver. We’re one of the few, if not only, places in town where France greets South Korea, Japan meets Italy, and Taiwan welcomes Mexico with open arms on a plate. Crafted with locally sourced ingredients and prepared in a way that’s meant to be shared, our menu encourages an exploration of global tastes, techniques, and cultures. Equally innovative items are served at lunch and creative brunch items are served on Saturdays & Sundays. Dining experiences in our modern, spacious room or on our hidden patio during warmer months are fun without falling lax, sophisticated without feeling stuffy. Careful steps for safe service post-pandemic are also in place.

Love this place food and service
My partner and me are going there since two year always excellent
Been there for weekend brunch lunch and diner
First time here at The Rise Eatery and I enjoyed it. I highly recommend the squid pasta which was a big portion and tasty. Loved it. As well, the happy hour is good and recommend the nuggets and the lord of fries.
Excellent brunch on the patio! First visit to this neighbourhood gem but it won’t be my last. Interesting creative menu with flavours that didn’t disappoint! Delicious way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.
The Rise was great! The food was tasty and innovative. The dessert Ferris wheel was very cool snd a big hit with the whole family. Nice service.
Loved our experience at the Rise! With the new covid restrictions in place, we wanted to find a good patio to go to for my birthday dinner. Thankfully the Rise had a perfect one! The patio is covered and heated, and is small but cute! The cocktails are amazing and so unique, and the food is delicious! They have a lot of gluten free options too which was great since both my husband and I are gf, and the portions are generous! Our server Momo was awesome, and always made sure our drinks were filled and was helpful with his advice on our food choices. Highly recommend giving the Rise a try - I know we'll be back!
It was a lovely brunch with excellent service.
Ordered the Korean chicken and the Squid ink pasta. Both dishes were excellent with a different take on the flavours. Love it.
Fusion brunch is satisfying, well presented. Not much ambience though.
no flavour on most of the things especially the bacon and pork. the tuna in omelet is like from the can. really great ambience but bad taste of food!
Fantastic evening at The Rise Eatery, was able to capitalize on the final weekend of the Dine-Out menu being offered. Family style & sized portions left us full and with left overs for a decadent snack for later on. Initial service was a tad slow initially but due to Covid & staffing it was understandably, but was quickly overshadowed by a fantastic Australian server that was so insightful in regards to their menu. The XO pasta was the highlight of the night as well as some quirky yet refreshing cocktails to start. Overall a phenomenal meal in the South Granville & may seem to get overlooked. 2 people, bottle of wine, 2 cocktails. 155$ before tip
Our servant was excellent! Discreet yet knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and attentive. HIs name is Arturo. Great experience overall!
We went out for Dine Out Vancouver! The food was great and so was the restaurant. Staff are friendly and informative. Will definitely be back!
Great food!
Service was good. The fried chicken was fantastic, cocktails were good, but the mains were quite bland and dry. Originally went for the dine out, but for 42 pp with only one appy and dessert to share it did not seem worth it so we ordered off the regular menu - glad we did as value was not up to par.
Excellent food ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We attended this restaurant during DineOut Vancouver. Our server appeared young and shy, so did not engage with us in conversation. His description of the dishes was emotionless - just listed some ingredients. The food was average in flavour. I would have expected less saltiness and more aromatic for the price. We ordered dishes that were inspired from a range of countries (Vietnam, Italy, Southern US) but they all tasted the same. It was not bad, just not what I would expect from the caliber of restaurant Rise Eatery aspires to be.
The restaurant has a great ambience and the food was amazing! I would highly recommend it for a semi-formal occasion.
Great service, great food, great decor. It’s a 10/10 for me. I forgot the name of our waitress but she’s a new hire and very personable!
Super creative and unique menu! I've been coming here for over a year some of my favourites are the Hot Chick Ramen, Chicken Seoul Good, and the Heart Attack Rice. Really nice bright space and a lovely patio in the summer
My order Got It had half inch of oil left in the skillet, too greasy. Very sour coffee even we switched to Americano, still bad taste unless u love very sour coffee which I don’t. Overall was just experience but probably won’t go again.
Absolutely delicious food and exciting combinations
The dine out menu:
The short rib was VERY dry and the kale were burnt. Not acceptable.
The Pho in sizzling plate was VERY SALTY but not tasty.
In general, the food I had was terrible. I’m disappointed.
Very unpleasant experience this year. :(
Did not have the best table with a big blind in front of us. Food was good but my last experience for dinner was excellent
Brunch was delicious!!!! Kudos to the chef as everything tasted great and the presentation was excellent!!
We were the 2nd group of guests entering the place, and whole restaurant was very empty. We were hopeful that we will get a good seat to enjoy our meals. Instead we where asked to be seated closest to the washroom, beside the stairs, and the kitchen. Probably worst seat in the house. We asked for a change, we did get one but it was just the next table to the worst one. A dark corner with no sight to the windows. Food was decent, coffee taste of vinegar, service took a longer then expected- maybe cos we were stuck in the dark corner.
Our table was vibrating the entire time- we think because of the cars outside? Not a deal breaker for us but is worth a mention. The food itself was very weird- I describe it as cruise ship food- like if they had leftovers and had to use the food the next day in a new way. My 12 year old daughter said it tasted like when a little kid gets excited to cook their parents food for the first time and they put weird things together. Service was good.
Service was so so, food was lure warm, not hot enough. Took long time to get food serve, the kitchen is at the basement, may be when food was ready but the server didn't know. Only one server during the whole time but another person (owner?) was helping. A bit disappointed.
Decor and ambience was excellent. They should really turn this into a lounge and bar. Food is awful and overpriced. They seriously need a proper chef instead of serving cafeteria style food at fine dining prices. Service was pleasant - just don't order food and you'll be fine.
We had the dine out menu and wish we could try more items as they all sounded so good! Everything was great and we really liked the boba bomb dessert (tea tres leches) which we thought is very creative!
the only dish that's ok at this place is the uni pasta, ours had a big piece of egg shell in it, and the dish was just mediocre, so you can imagine the quality of the rest of the food.
Service was terrible - our server was pushing us to order food (came back twice within a minute lol) and when we were done our plates it took him around 15 minutes to take them away and serve our next dish. Took 20 minutes for the desserts to arrive. Charged us extra for items we asked for without informing us about the extra chages (about $8 more). Never coming back again.
Went for Lunch Dine Out, it's was a pretty good deal and the food was good!
We already been to three dineouts this month and we have to say the dishes here were more interesting than other places!
Service is amazing. Food is a bit hit and miss. Generally good but the pad Thai was one of the worst dishes my husband and I tried, very bland and we barely touched it and so that was $20 wasted. Ambience is great.
We went specifically to try their dine out lunch menu. Unfortunately they only had their brunch dine out menu available since we went on the weekend. I wish this was communicated better on the websites. Had I known only brunch dine out was offered on the weekend, I wouldn't have booked. Overall value was still okay and service was good.
Shad Thai was very bland but Uni pasta was delicious
The food is superb! Staff are courteous. Had a great dine out experience. Till next time!
Everything was really good. Dine out menu came with tons of food. Would be better for someone with a big appetite. The only thing though the foods are on the sweeter side. all desserts and the peach drink were really sweet.
Great dine out options this year, especially for brunch!
Squid ink pasta with sea urchin cream sauce was amazing.
Went for the dineout experience and was not disappointed. They offered a complimentary amuse bouche which was nice. I didn't think the flavours worked well in the gochujang and blue cheese brussels sprouts and cauliflower but the rest of the dinner was excellent. Uni pasta was silky and the ribs were so tender (on a bed of delicious smoked kale). The dessert was brilliant--moist with strong milk tea flavour and tapioca pearls inside. Our server was very friendly!
Satisfied and full by the end, definitely recommend and would go back.
Great cocktails and food portions, overall great experience!
