The Rise Eatery
Guests reap the rewards of Executive Chef Dan Leung’s limitless imagination and 15-plus years of cooking experience. The global fusion offerings celebrate the ethnic diversity of Vancouver. We’re one of the few, if not only, places in town where France greets South Korea, Japan meets Italy, and Taiwan welcomes Mexico with open arms on a plate. Crafted with locally sourced ingredients and prepared in a way that’s meant to be shared, our menu encourages an exploration of global tastes, techniques, and cultures. Equally innovative items are served at lunch and creative brunch items are served on Saturdays & Sundays. Dining experiences in our modern, spacious room or on our hidden patio during warmer months are fun without falling lax, sophisticated without feeling stuffy. Careful steps for safe service post-pandemic are also in place.

Food takes a little while. Overall really good ambience, service, value. Perfect for geoup hangs with friends and family!
We had a great Christmas Eve dinner. Food was yummy and great value. My bf loved his Glittering Poultree Holiday dish, which has converted him to liking sticky rice - a dim sum item he wouldnt try before! I loved my Uni pasta! It had a lotta noodles that I saved for the next day. Wish the pulled pork sliders were available as a larger sandwich main. Drinks were great price at Happy Hour and really glad they had a great selection especially mocktails. The decor and ambiance was perfect :) We returned 2 days later at Happy Hour for those yummy pulled pork sliders. Staff was friendly, restaurant definitely very safe and caring towards Covid rules.
Do not order their steak, really bad!! The squid ink pasta was the only good thing, but it isn’t good enough to warrant a second visit. Also ordered fries and Seoul good chicken. The chicken was average. Wanted to like this place but unfortunately the food was simply not up to standard.
I will definitely go back to The Rise Eatery. The food was so flavourful, creative and healthy! The mocktail was also perfect!
Its a good social hang out place with a small group of friends or a date with a love one.
Food was good and service was great. There was a big birthday party happening so food was a bit slow but it was okay. Dynamic duo was really tasty! Uni-pasta was also delicious. I didn’t love the shad thai because it was nothing like actual pad thai. Server was nice and friendly
It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely be back
Food was delicious! and service was good!
A bit of a pricier brunch. But then again it is south Granville, so we knew what we were getting into.
My only annoyance was that it took almost 45 minutes to get our food. It wasn’t only us either.
But I would give them another shot and go back!
Went for brunch on the weekend! Quiet little place. Also had a backyard patio. The food was tasty and worth the price. They accidentally got my drink wrong and although I was ok with the one I had and said I’d keep it, they gave me the drink for free!
The brunch menu is so so
The patato was over cooked, very dry.
The service is great, love the waitress, very nice.
But food was not very good.
Definitely should try! Food is amazing, service is supreme!! 5 stars out of 5!!
we came for happy hour and celebration dinner with a friend. I understand that with COVID, there are time limits for tables, however, our server kept telling us how much time we had left and at one point told us that we would have to eat fast with everything we ordered. We didn't appreciate feeling rushed each time the server came by.
Overpriced for what it is. Korean chicken appetizer was fabulous and everything else was average. Manager was pretty confrontational with guests next to us which kind of ruined both our experiences.
We love the rise. We use to live in the neighborhood and would eat here occasionally. Recently moved but the food brought us back. Great share plate style eating. It's really like no other. Highly recommend
Eventhough it resides along Granville Street, The Rise Eatery has a quiet, peaceful ambience, especially when you arrive during their opening hours. I ordered the Truly Magical skillet and it was amazing! A vegetarian dish with a hint of curry from the masala. My boyfriend had the Hog It skillet and he really loved the pork belly in it. We had the assorted pastries on the side as well. It took a while, but it was so worth it because it was super fresh! Would love to come back and try more from their menu!
A couple of my girl friends and I went on a casual dinner night. One of my friend’s flat iron steak was done medium rare cut which was too raw for her liking. The Rise Eatery kindly enough to changed her plate to a new one to make sure she would enjoy her meal. We are greatly appreciated the gesture. Will definitely return in short.
A quiet secret patio, creative food and good drinks. That's all you need to know - it's a must try!
Brunch. Great - GREAT - selections, varied and delicious, nice California/Asian/Latinx influences, great cocktails & mocktails. Liège waffles, although delicious, had over-the-top sweet fruit concoctions on top, sadly. Service was friendly and efficient, décor and ceramic plates beautiful.
Food was really good and server was friendly. Main course took a little longer than we would have liked to come out (big gap between appetizer and food). Overall pleasant experience
Always a great pleasure for us to see Wanda and Dan - and experience what I believe to be one of the top restaurants in Vancouver....we introduced two dear friends to The Rise - who are now also going to be regulars!!
Excellent service! Good vibe. Food was nice and portion was big. loved their desserts
Interesting and very tasty food in a very pleasant atmosphere
I am always impressed by the creativity of the cuisine when I go the to the Rise Eatery! I keep bringing new people there because it it sooooo good!
Been a couple of times. Very reasonable prices considering the quality of the food and service. The interior decor could use an update though!
I love how creative they are here. The fact that they’re willing to try new things is so refreshing!
I always enjoy the food and love the service here!
We have a delicious brunch on the patio. We were very pleased with the meal and our server was lovely.
Cute local eatery with a unique menu. Nice patio at the back hidden away from the noise of Granville.
We live brunch at The Rise. It’s a wonderful, relaxing and delicious experience. Wonderful unique flavours and warm hospitable service.
We had a lovely dinner on the shaded outdoor patio last evening. Quiet enough for conversation. Three small and one large shared plate were more than enough for two people. We particularly enjoyed the Chicken Seoul Good. The server was friendly but unobtrusive. We asked to share a tap beer, and he served it to us in two separate chilled glasses without us even asking. Will definitely return.
Great spot on Granville for healthy and indicative fusion eating. Think of this as a mix of fancy restaurant vegetable dishes inspired by Chinese food but made in a contemporary American type. Of dish.
Fantastic service! Delicious food!
When I ask for a bartender specialty virgin cocktail and they happy to oblige, I am estatic! Thank you!
Service and food were great! I would definitely go back again.
Cool and different, the rice bowl was excellent, and could have been the only thing I ordered.
Dan Bing-O original was really good, as well as the magical mushrooms and very berry waffles and fitter bacon benny
Had my birthday there, they didn’t make it special or try to offer anything, a bit disappointed about that.
Food tastes good, comes in small portion tho, you will need to order at lease 3 entrees for two person. Definitely four dishes if it’s two guys.
I ordered the squid ink noodles with prawns and it was so creamy and delicious. I have been to rise eatery for brunch as well and it was also outstanding. The quality of the food is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely a great option for eating out with friends.
We’ve been ordering take out during COVID which was good! BUT to enjoy their Chicken Seoul Hood, Shad Thai and Fryday Meatup served fresh and presented was so Fantastic!!
Everything tastes as great as always!! Love this place!
Very interesting menu during the re-opening. Looking forward to full menu in the fall.
Lovely to have brunch outdoors - the toast to ramen is a fave of mine! Really appreciate the ‘welcome back’ and I’ll be back :)
Post COVID Brunch. Great social distancing setup makes dinner feel very comfortable. Service is great. Great food.
