The Right Fork Diner
When we arrived we were told that there was no hostess & reservations weren’t being honored. We had to wait 30 minutes despite having a reservation.
We went for breakfast. A terrific meal. I had ham eggs benedict. Delicious!!!
We like this place for casual dining in an unusual and scenic location (it’s right on a grassy airfield with historic planes on site). Their menu is creative and everything I’ve tried I have liked. However, the indoor space is very small and there is always a wait, even when we made a reservation online for a specific time this past Saturday. Also, the noise level inside is very loud, irritatingly loud if infants/toddlers are present. If the weather is favorable, consider sitting outside on their deck instead, as the wait time to be seated may be shorter.
Love going to the airfield for breakfast and plane watching!
Expensive but worth every penny! Food is amazing and being near the local airstrip was great.
A terrific way to experience Martha’s Vineyard!
We took friends from our home on cape cod to the vineyard for a day trip. We used open table to find a fun spot for lunch. The Right Folk popped up on my search and we booked. It is a couple of miles outside of Oak Bluffs in a rural area and is adjacent to a grass stripped airfield that host bi-plane flights. The ambience , food and service were outstanding. We each had a different plate and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I had the fish sandwich and it was very light and delicious. A good time for sure
Just fantastic all around great!!!
Always a great place for breakfast.. surf and turf is a big hit with my husband— if we don’t steal all his lobster! The brioche French toast could feed a small army with the fresh fruit but my daughter doesn’t share because it is so good. I’ve been addicted to the roasted vegetable hash with eggs this year but the south beach omelette is another favorite. Doesn’t hurt that they have delicious mimosas... Will be back again before they close for the season..
Such a fun place to have brunch/lunch and watch the planes fly off...
Food is decent and service casual; hostess is super friendly and on top of things.
We thoroughly enjoyed the scene.
Upon arrival the hostess met us with such harshness we thought it must be a joke. It wasn't. We had a long standing reservation but after the hostesses questioning us upon arrival we considered leaving. Hostess might consider a different line of work. Our waitress was lovely but the damage was pretty much done.
The meal and service were decent. The turn off was when they came over to have me sign the bill on the tablet and they put 20% for gratuity. I normally give 20% unless it was a horrible experience but gratuity should be left to the customers discretion unless it was a large party which we were not. I would have given it a 4 star for service and for this reason i gave it a 3.
Usually come here for breakfast only because I work at night. But made it out for dinner. Excited!!
It was good night
Thank you right fork
If you're an aviation nut, this place is for you. Situated at the end of the runway, you can watch small planes (or if you're lucky a biplane) take off, land or do touch and gos. Bean throws setup for the kiddos to play, while you're having dinner. Eat inside or out, but if you're a couple, only outside seating is at the rail, facing the planes. Need more bodies for an actual table. I would have liked to have had a heads up on that requirement from the restaurant description.
We had the lobster cakes and scallops & shrimp. Both were quite good (though a bit pricey). My husband loved the milk shakes (had 2).
Good food. We asked to sit outside and they reluctantly put us out there. There was no one out there when we arrive and we had a reservation but they said they had others coming that would go outside. We left and there were still empty tables. We also were waited on after the larger party that came after us but we weren't known like that party. The food was very good and we would definitely go back.
We absolutely love the Right Fork Diner for breakfast and were excited to try it for dinner. It was a big disappointment because the food just wasn't great. My husband ordered ribs and asked our server if they were babyback ribs (which he doesn't like) and was told no but they were. My pulled pork was very tough to the point of being inedible. One of my daughters enjoyed her food but the other didn't.
It was a beautiful night to sit outside so we had a nice evening but for the cost we were not thrilled about the meal. We will be back many times for breakfast but not for dinner.
First time for dinner, always went for breakfast. Beautiful sunset dinner, service was friendly and timely, we loved the BBQ pulled pork and brisket. Would do again.
I'll b quick and to the point! Great place to eat and watch the planes fly in!!
The food is very good and plentiful. The menu interesting, and the relaxed comfort and views are great. Perfect family place~
Another great RFD dinner with family! We gmhad our grandkids with us and the staff was so friendly & engaging with them. The food was great, we are big fans of the mac & cheese & bbq menu! It’s fantastic any time
Sat on the rail outside and enjoyed the sunset and the planes.
We lived the casual ambiance with great wait staff, intimate setting and warm vibe. I ordered the “little necks” but they were cherrry stones. I heard from others the mussels and black bass were great but our dinner was just good. Sides were great and wine was well chosen. Would definitely try again.
Great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Sit out side to view the goings-on at the grass airfield. Moderately priced. Has more than BBQ.
Good food overall tho a little heavy on salt and sugar.
Fabulous from beginning to end! BBQ menu is outstanding! Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts are sides not to be missed! Can’t beat the friendly staff & dining outdoors! Will return again soon.
Great location with view of Katama Airfield, was there for dinner, food was wonderful, service was very good, well worth the price, will go back.
Service was slow. They brought 1 meal out well before the other 3. One of the other 2 meals came without fries. We were told they ran out but that was not true. This was corrected by a manager. We ordered 1 glass of wine but were charged for a bottle. Overall, a poor dining experience!!
Lovely setting, food is delicious! Large portions and freshly made.
First time there, loved it ! We have tried several times to go, but usually too long a wait ... Open table made it easy! Corn beef hash was excellent , we will be back !
The Right Fork always wows our guests — from the beautiful setting with the biplanes taking off and landing to the freshest salad greens ever, from Grey Barn Farm.
Best breakfast in Martha’s Vineyard. Don’t be fooled by the location or small locale. Eggs Benedict or pancakes a must! And while you’re T it, buy yourself a T-shirt.
