   Second visit here. We all really enjoyed our food again. The service was not quite as good as last visit.

   Too much from the menu not available, not even baked potatoes. What food we had was ok.

   A really disappointing experience. We have always enjoyed going to The Ridgeway for dinner but on the last couple of visits we have experienced incredibly poor service. We booked to go for Sunday lunch for six people, the waitress took our order and the starters arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Whilst we were eating out starters another table of guests arrived, our waitress also took their orders. We were waiting about 45 minutes for our main course when we enquired with the waitress how much longer it would be, she confirmed it won’t be much longer. Ten minutes or so late the Sunday roasts began to come out of the kitchen they were given to the table that arrived after us instead. At this point we decided to call it a day, when we asked to pay the bill and aired our issues the more senior member of staff didn’t seem that bothered about issues we had encountered. I found the whole thing to be incredibly unprofessional. Such a shame as The Ridgeway used to be a favourite of mine. Won’t be rushing back.

   Went with high hopes as everyone raves about the food so decided to book for me and my partner for celebration. We were seated at a table which was small (one square table about 60cm across) I didn’t really have a massive issue with it at first but when food arrived it was hilarious as me and partner were bumping elbows trying to eat. The service was nothing memorable at all and it felt rushed. Food arrived I ordered the duck (confit leg) it arrived and I was shocked to see two cuts of duck on bed of carrot purée some broccoli and half a jacket spud which was priced at £18 I have had similar dish at another restaurant which I paid more for and it was a duck leg! Not impressed. My partner had cod which was saturated in oil so he left half. It just wasn’t an evening that I wanted and I should have spoke up about the table as it was what annoyed me the most however I had already started eating and didn’t want to look like a Karen! I can’t see how they can seat two people there with two large plates,glasses etc. oh well lesson learned.

   Delicious food with great variety. Romantic, relaxed ambience. The service was great and we didn't feel rushed.

   Our meals were exceptional. All 4 of us had a different choice and all 4 of us were blown away with how beautiful each one tasted. Definitely recommend. Staff were smashing.

   The location is great being close to home and the food was excellent with the o ly negative being the restaurant was noise from the pumped in music and bar.

   We waited for a long time for our meals once they arrived the food was delicious. The staff seemed very busy although they tried to give us their full attention. We would especially like to recommend the lasagne. I would recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.
