The Rez Grill
Excellent food. We sat close to the kitchen in a booth. Very relaxing, quiet, and a lovely kitchen view. We appreciate having a conversation with the people you are dining with without yelling. ABSOLUTELY....will dine there again.
We wanted the lobster roll for dinner. The waitress stated they quit serving them at 6:00 pm. It was 7:00 pm at the time so we ordered something else that we had to send back. In the mean time, we saw lobster rolls coming out to other customers.
Glass had lipstick on it. Table was dirty and had to clean a dirty spot.
Waitress suggested a wine that we sent back.
Ordered specialty mixed drink that was good.
We will never return to this restaurant. With all the issues we had (yes there were more). No apology from waitress or mgr
We’ve been there 3 or 4 times already & have enjoyed the food very much.
Good value for the money.
Great experience!!! First class food, cocktails, wine, service and hospitality. Will definitely go back soon.
Excellent service from our waiter, he makes everyday special!
We ate at the Rez in October the week before my sister passed away. We wanted to celebrate her this past Saturday for her birthday. We could only reserve a table for six but had nine family members. GM James was gracious enough to accommodate our needs and made the evening more special with a toast. Kudos to James and The Rez Grill 👍
We are never disappointed with the food or service.
I had not been there before.I was unsure what to expect. It looked very nice.not too noisy and very clean.Waitstaff was great. They were prompt and askd how the food was.The food I had was amazing. That was the best burger I ever had.My husband loved his steak.I had comps but I would definitely return and pay out of pocket for this great place.
waitress very friendly and we enjoyed meal. wine great, food was excellent. will visit the next time at hard rock.
Service, food, and management (Lorenzo) is always great!
Nice place, nice peoples, good food. Thank you
We had the New Year’s Eve menu and the dessert was horrible. Other dishes outstanding don’t do that liquid pudding hidden under pile of cool whip again. Wish we would’ve ordered regular entrées. Also the appetizer with shellfish that I can’t eat and they would not substitute for veg or something little.
We come Sunday morning for a wonderful brunch! Service is outstanding and we really enjoy the food, especially the big cinnamon bun at the end of the meal!
The food was very good but the portions were a little underwhelming for the price. Food is priced close to top tier staples around Tampa like Eddie V's and Bern's but doesn't have near the ambiance. If you don't want to travel to restaurants in Tampa, Council Oak is a much better option in the same hotel.
Very nice place and not to loud. We had a reservation and we got a table near the bar so we can see the TV.
We asked the floor Manager if that was possible to see the Tampa Bay lightning game and he made that happen. Our server great us and let us know the specials, we had the grouper nuggets special for the appetizer, my wife choose the ribs and I asked our server about my choices, the pork chop, or the veal chop.
He recommended the pork chop. Food presentation was supper.
The ribs were well presented, easy of the bone and very tasty, love them.
My pork chop presentation was good, but the sauce had too much salt. I told the Manager so he can let the chef know. We will try the restaurant again. thank you
Booked this restaurant for my sisters birthday 5 days in advance. The front desk was not friendly and not one mention of my sisters birthday until we were on our way out. I checked into the restaurant 45 minutes ahead of time just to let them know that we were there. When we arrived for our 6:15 reservation time, we were told to wait while they set up our table. We waited another 10 minutes and then they tried to seat us at a "community table" with at least 12 high bar stools. My elderly mom was with my sister and I and would mot be able to sit at a "high top". We asked the hostess if we could have another table and she looked inconvenienced and had to ask the manager if we could sit somewhere else, which he agreed.
My disappointment of how this was all handled was embarrassing! Throughout our meal, not one other party being seated at the restaurant was shown to the "community table". We had reservations and there were guests behind us that did not have reservations and were given a time to come back or seated - BUT not at the community table.
The only saving grace at Rez that night was the wait staff and the food! Once we were seated, it was 5 star dining. Food was amazing and our server was outstanding! He never missed a beat and made it worthwhile.
It's sad that the front desk, which really is your "first impression" is not friendly and almost look as if doing their job is an inconvenience.
Our waiter was one of the best I have ever had. General manager was also incredibly friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding.
We enjoyed the food and service was good. Due to the location of restaurant, we smelled cigarette smoke. That was disappointing.
The food was exquisite. Unfortunately, twice we were told items we ordered were no longer available long after we ordered which caused a big delay in getting our food. The waitress did her best to appease us, but the damage was already done.
I have had the pleasure of dining at the Rez several times and I have NOT been disappointed.
I am glad that the Grouper Bites are going to be added to the appetizers, although my favorite appetizer
by far is the Pimento Toast.
The food and drinks were top notch and the service was equally exceptional. Look forward to coming again for the sunday brunch.
Food and service was superior. Blended bar drinks were unavailable because they did not have blender. No decaffeinated coffee so had to buy a pot of regular coffee for one person - a waste of coffee.
Very unique restaurant. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious. A little smoky because it's in a smoking casino. Cocktails all with a twist
5 of enjoyed the food and one person had allergies and the staff accommodated her with caring attitude. Thank you
The restaurant design is lovely, with a modern industrial vibe, and the spacing of the tables and the booths is outstanding. Our dinner started with Shrimp Cocktail and Maryland Crab Cakes. To our astonishment there were TEN large, deliciously spiced shrimp with the order, and the crab cakes were superb, served with a Granny Smith Apple and Celery Root slaw and a tasty remoulade. Our main courses were the Veal Chop Milanese and the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Here's where the meal went off the rails a little bit. In our opinion, the oil used to cook in was too hot, the food was cooked too long, and possibly the oil should have been changed - the food had that hard, dark fried crust, on what would have otherwise been awesome dishes. We enjoyed the meal, regardless, so much so that since we were staying at the hotel we ate there again the following night. The Creamed Wild Mushroom Soup was delicious, and the Shrimp and Grits well prepared. (We're used to a little more heat in the spices for Shrimp and Grits, but it was still pretty tasty!)
The Potato Gnocchi were a little heavy, but the arugula salad and the bolognese sauce were both quite good. We enjoyed both our evenings there, and will try to plan our future trips to the casino around the restaurant's schedule - they're closed on Monday and Tuesday.
We were there late morning on Sunday so not very crowded. Excellent service, great food, beautiful surroundings.
Everyone very friendly and attentive. Our friendly waitress answered all our questions ,made suggestions, and was available to us through out our meal. And all that excellent attention came with a smile.
By the way our meal was outstanding. A quote from Arnold's movie the terminator, ( We'll be back)
Great food, great service, awesome staff. Can’t wait to return!
Everything was great!
This was are third visit and much better than the first two visits, the food was hot and good.
For being in Tampa it just amazes me that they don't have any Spanish dishes on the menus.
A good Cuban instead of a grilled chicken sandwich and some good soup other than mushroom.
Something that makes them unique is missing that makes it a 4 instead of a 5.
Celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. There chicken and waffles were amazing. My husband always gets the crab cakes and crab claws. Can’t wait to go again next week
Service was slow, had to ask a few time for more salad dressing and my wife order came out wrong, not even the dish she ordered so everybody in the group was eating without her.
was overall disappointment.
We have had dinner here many times and were always very happy. We decided to try the Sunday brunch and were very disappointed. The service was horrible the food was barely adequate and there was no atmosphere at all. We were disappointed to discover that they had no non-dairy products for our coffee, The hamburger was terrible and the Bavette steak was very tough. The tea had been steeped way too long and was bitter and The coffee was very strong especially when you need to drink it black since there is no non-dairy creamer . We will not return for the Sunday brunch however we have always enjoyed the dinner and will return again and again .
I was there for brunch.. It's little restaurant, next to the casino smoking area with no division in between mean no wall or windows on that side of the restaurant so basically make the place an smoking one. Bar in the middle make the place very noisy, and food not as good for the price, it's worthless...
Best meal and service ever at the Hard Rock!! Glad we finally tried it, very relaxing.
Our waitress Ashley made it an extra special experience. We usually dine at Council Oak which wasn't available. Glad we made the reservation.
Overwhelmed, Look out Council Oaks. Love them both. So GOOD! Thanks
Service was great, menu appealing. Main dishes are beautifully presented, the salads are large and delicious. We say, whatever you eat, order the espresso creme brulee for dessert. It was spectacular! It is a bit noisy, but then, this restaurant is inside a casino!
I had an invitation to come try out the new menu. This would easily be 5 stars for me. Ambiance was good. My waiter(service team) was fantastic! Food came out fast and cocktails were very good. However, this is not 5 stars because the "HOST" (aka people who greet you as you check in for your reservations were very rude! NOT the first time, so I decided to write a review) If I haven't been here before, I would have not even waited to get seated. They didn't check me in and told me to come back/wait for my reservation time because early check in is NOT ALLOWED. ( I was only 15 mins earlier than my reservation time). I am waiting by the hostess stand, two "old couples" came and mentioned they had the same reservation time as me, was seated within 5 minutes of speaking with the host. At this point I was curious on why. When I went up a second time which is now 5 mins before my reservation time. She gave me a poor excuse that because they are waiting to seat me in a booth. (which I didn't request for). They acknowledged I was there and said I have to wait to be seated. Which is now 15 mins after my reservation time and irritated. They apologize for the wait and seated me. They also didn't properly, add my comps. These girls need a lesson/training on how to treat customers.
Very noisy and the food style does not fit my style.
