I had an invitation to come try out the new menu. This would easily be 5 stars for me. Ambiance was good. My waiter(service team) was fantastic! Food came out fast and cocktails were very good. However, this is not 5 stars because the "HOST" (aka people who greet you as you check in for your reservations were very rude! NOT the first time, so I decided to write a review) If I haven't been here before, I would have not even waited to get seated. They didn't check me in and told me to come back/wait for my reservation time because early check in is NOT ALLOWED. ( I was only 15 mins earlier than my reservation time). I am waiting by the hostess stand, two "old couples" came and mentioned they had the same reservation time as me, was seated within 5 minutes of speaking with the host. At this point I was curious on why. When I went up a second time which is now 5 mins before my reservation time. She gave me a poor excuse that because they are waiting to seat me in a booth. (which I didn't request for). They acknowledged I was there and said I have to wait to be seated. Which is now 15 mins after my reservation time and irritated. They apologize for the wait and seated me. They also didn't properly, add my comps. These girls need a lesson/training on how to treat customers.
Very noisy and the food style does not fit my style.
Service was great and the manager Larenzo as always made sure the experience was as enjoyable as possible.
Have eaten and Rez many times before and food has always been great. However, this time food and service was lacking a bit. My Caesar salad which I always order was wilted and sloppily made. The king krab appetizer that is always delicious was cold. The salmon special which I ordered was described all wrong from the waitress. Came with broccollini instead of basmati rice. I think waitress was new and maybe that was the majority of the problem. No excuse though for a wilted Caesar salad.
The food was amazing as always! Managers are top notch and we absolutely love this restaurant.
We were celebrating our anniversary and the Rez was a great choice. The food was amazing! We shared the shrimp cocktail - 10 big shrimp, we each had a steak and we shared the brussel sprouts. Everything was prepared perfectly, beautifully presented and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and you can see the kitchen. It wasn't noisy and the waiter was very attentive. I did enjoy a manhattan that was perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant and plan on returning.
Food was excellent. Service was a bit slow.
Food could have been warmer my waffles where cold not like times before
Food was tasty but, not 4 star level. My husbands steak was tough - he quite frankly does a better job grilling steak on his green egg. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles - the large portion. I was told that it was the whole chicken. More than enough for sharing however, it could not have been the whole chicken. Out of the ten pieces of chicken, only 2 were white meat and one of those was a wing. My sister's yellow tail snapper was beautifully prepared and perfect. The Asian slaw it was served with however was dry . She added the sauce provided with the meal and that made it too spicy to eat. My chopped salad was good, very generous portion. However, I do prefer the pear salad served in The Rise cafe over the salad your restaurant serves. The noise level was higher than expected and wondered at the wisdom of building the restaurant with one side open to the casino and slot machines. The waiters/waitresses were very attentive. Overall, pleasant but, not excellent, dining experience. Would probably eat there again if in the casino but, would not go out of my way if a trip to the casino was not planned.
The food was excellent. The managers did not come to our table to ask if the food and the service was ok. one was bald head and had on a wrinkle suit, the other was younger with dark hair and a wrinkle suit. mabe we were to old for them.
Overall, the REZ was a little disappointing in regards to service and food quality and food value for the prices charged. Although our wait staff person was very friendly and mostly knowledgeable and timely with our bill, we observed other wait staff/service that was lacking (e.g. bill miscalculated, long wait to receive final bill, and poor food quality). Our lobster thermidor was good, flavorful, a little overcooked; the steak tartare was very good. However, $14.00 for 4 oysters was ridiculous. Also, having the restaurant situated with an opening into the smoking section of the casino was not pleasant.
Hostess staff needs a bit more training.
One bartender slightly rude.
Overall a good experience.
Did not like the fact that a service dog was allowed in the restaurant when it was very obvious the dog was not there to aid anyone at all. Not the restaurants problem, but it did take away from a dining experience.
We went out for a date night on Saturday and the experience was terrible. The only good part was our waiter who was as attentive as he could have been. My steak tasted like it was soaked in a beef broth, my wife’s grouper was basically salt with some fish and the Cesar salad was a grilled Romain leaf with cheese, plus, it was warm which wasn’t described on the menu. I hate today this, but we had better food at a buffet compared to this place.
Myself, my wife and oldest son were there to celebrate our 14 anniversary looking forward to a good meal. What a let down. My wife and I were talking about lobster thermadore for two weeks. What a laugh---it gave me a headache-----eye strain trying to find the lobster!! It was luke warm when it got to the table. My mashed potatoes were also warm--as well tasting box mixed and runny. The spice cake for dessert was terrible---the cake was so dry you could hardly swallow it with washing it down. My sons pork sandwich was loaded with horseradish to the point where he could hardly eat it. Shouldn't horseradish be on the side so a person can use it as they like and what the cook likes? Service was too slow---all was luke warm when served. ALL was overpriced!!!!!
The food has been good and consistent. It is convenient if you’re at the casino. The staff and the service have always been excellent
We were seated next to the bar, not the best choice. TV's were a bit distracting.
Steak was overcooked for my husband and so was mine.
Excellent food and great service , a bit pricey to go all the time which is a shame because it was so good
I dreamt about my he fried chicken and waffles. So good, but don’t get the waffle connection.
ST at this he bar and service was excellent and fun!
Food was very good. Chicken and waffles was delicious!!!
Great restaurant for gathering with friends and for any occasion, special or just a nice dinner. Great wine selection and choices of appetizers and main courses. With five of us dining we all had a nice dining experience. Will be back.
The Rez made me love brussel sprouts. Absolutely delicious! I had a filet, although expressive, it was wonderful. I don't say that about very many attacks. Kenny was great as usual.
The food was ok. Nothing spectacular. We had the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits. The service was terrible Shae seemed like he had too many tables. We waited long periods of time after each visit to our table.
I frequent this restaurant quite a bit. I had a birthday dinner for someone their recently and the staff was wonderful and the food was great!!!
We found this restaurant in the Open table app and chose to make a reservation since it was by the Amphitheatre and we were going to a concert later. We didn’t realize it was inside a very busy casino. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and had a great attitude! The food was very small portions. We ordered the Maryland Crab cakes and thats what we expected.. Although the taste was there the size was about 1/4 the size of a Maryland crab cake. For Entree’s, My wife ordered the Grouper and it was about 4oz.. I ordered the burger and it was in a liquid base so not what I was expecting. They are trying to make this upscale but not worth the money. We ate at a 5 star chop house the night prior and in comparison the bills we identical but the food quantity was vastly different.
Great food my only complaint is that it's surrounded by smoking areas even though the restaurant itself was non smoking.
Enjoyed everything we ate and service was great. Very friendly. Highly recommend in the casino dinning.
We made our first visit on a busy Saturday evening. We had an early reservation and by 6PM every table was full. The service was good. The noise level was a bit high from the casino sounds as well as from the kitchen.
My companion ordered the lobster roll and was delighted as this was the best we have had in Florida (we are native New Englanders and take our lobster seriously). I had the grilled snapper. It was a nice piece of fish but was a bit over cooked. Next time I will tell them my preference for degree of cooking like it was a steak. We shared a side of Brussel sprouts that were a generous serving and very tasty.
This is a nice addition to the dining options at the Hard Rock. Better food than the Hard Rock Cafe and less costly than the Council Oak. We will dine here again.
Very surprised ................................................;…;;;;;......................................
We were fitted immediately although we arrived 15 minutes before our reservation. We were thankful. waitress was helpful and showed just the right amount of attention. Food was excellent. However, I thanked the roasted vegetables that came with the grouper could have been more plentiful. Perhaps the biscuits or rolls could have been a courtesy instead of pay.
We go to the Hard Rock Tampa often and planned a friends night out. The service was good but the entrees were just ok. My husband ordered the ribeye cap and it was flavorless and minuscule in size. It looked like a speck on a huge white plate. The mashed potatoes were soupy. I’m vegetarian and not any options at all other than the cavatelli pasta with butternut squash. It was too thick and not appetizing. Looked like Mac n cheese. The salad was great and I liked the biscuits but I was put off that the server took it upon herself to place two orders when I only ordered one and wanted them to come with my salad. They didn’t come with the salad so I told her to cancel them and thought she did. I was done with salad and low and behold they bring out the biscuits!!! Again, Not one but two orders???
I don’t like the fact that server took it upon herself to make assumptions and then proceed to charge me for 1 and 1/3 orders of the biscuits...then charge the other two couples for a 1/3 each as well when they didn’t order them in the first place or eat them! I told her it was incorrect but the other couples said forget about it.
This was our first visit and likely last one to The Rez. Don’t get many chances to make a first impression great.
The fries were cold on the steak frites. It ruins eberything
An amazing dining experience. Fabulous food, but the service is totally outstanding. You are treated like royalty.
Although we have been here several times and enjoyed it, we were a little disappointed this time. The crab appetizer was half the size it normally is. The servers were very attentive. But probably won't go back for a long while.
Made the reservation on-line and was sent a confirmation via email. When I arrived for dinner the Host did not have the reservation - awkward....
Had a great time as always at the Rez Grille. Love this restaurant and everyone there is always so pleasant and helpful.
Great Service and food. Large salads and the Chicken and Waffles were outstanding and plenty of food.
The food was pretty tasteful. Servers must work on bringing in the courses, had the salad less than 10 minutes and in came the entrée. Kenny was good, but maybe not give such large tables at once to him- as there were open ones for other servers. Maybe suggest a small kids menu. Lemonade was true lemons- might consider breaking it down so that its not so tart. Otherwise, yes we will visit again
We showed up 10 mins early and the lady told us we have to wait bec she does not have An available table. We looked around and there were more than 10 open tables and no one was waiting except us. We finally got seated and those open tables remained open for about an hour before customers start to come in. We ordered shrimp cocktail for appetizer and then gave the server our order for dinner as well. Everything came out ALL at the same time. We ended up not being able to finish all our food. Food tastes really
Great but the overall service needs improvement.
The food was good although I really wanted a hamburger and found out they could only cook them well done. That is not what the pictures show. The waffles and chicken were good it I think that when people are ordering they should explain it to them about how to eat and make them familiar with what they get. The food is good there so we were just a little disappointed.
