A neighborhood steakhouse using seasonal and quality ingredients to bring flavor and hospitality to Redondo Beach. Join us in our dining room every night or our Drift Cocktail Lounge on Friday and Saturdays for a night to remember.

Intentionally sourced with an eye for quality, we offer USDA Prime, Miyazaki A5 Japanese Wagyu, and American Wagyu. All are steaks are cooked to perfection over our white oak fire.

I really love this restaurant, but my family and I are starting to call it the"The Two Hour Restaurant". Every time we go, when we're seated we're told we only have 2 hours for our meal. The only way we'd take more than 2 hours is if the service was really slow. Not a good look for this level of restaurant.

Our steaks and service were outstanding. Steaks were perfectly done and came to our table sizzling hot which is a sure sign they know what they’re doing. Waiter and manager were attentive and had great suggestion. Spot on - we will be back.

Had a fantastic Saturday night at The Rex. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and our server went all out to make it special. Steaks and sides were delicious. Highly recommend!!!

Celebrating a bday and we both decided on the filet rare, and med rare. Requested peppercorn sauce, served on the side. Both steaks were perfectly cooked tender and delicious! both enjoyed the side of mushrooms and creamed corn was great too! The bday Sundae with Carmel sauce and little Carmel beads on top. Terrific.

Highly recommend The Rex Steak House in Redondo Beach. Food and service was excellent. Started with cocktails and the drinks were great. Then oysters which were so delicious we had to order another one. We shared a wedge salad and French onion soup which also were outstanding. The broth has an incredible depth of flavor and huge pieces of pork lardons in the salad. A steak, chicken 2 ways special and baby potatoes to round off our meal. It was all amazing. Our server even topped off our birthday dinner with a delightful hazelnut ice cream dish. Can’t say enough good things about the service or the food except we will be back.

This was our anniversary dinner. Service wonderful. Filet and burger delicious. Drinks and wine perfect. Ambiance very nice. Only thing to know is that the steaks are al la carte so sides are extra. Cost goes up. But wood fired grilled steak is a treat. Burger was delicious and with yummy fries. So all was good.
