I took my father out for his birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! We started with this chicken spring rolls which were very flavorful and had a complimentary dipping sauce which reminded me of marinara sauce that was good. I got the fettuccine which was good, the eggplant didn't have much flavor and my dad got the lemon trout which was superb. For dessert we had creme brulee, mine's was slightly burnt but was still very good. It also came with blueberry macaroons which were out of this world! I also had a strawberry passion fruit margarita which was well made (kudos to the bartender). The restaurant itself was very beautiful, the staff were so polite and very attentive. I will absolutely be going back and would recommend it to others.

This is a school and you will have many different levels of service provided, but everyone is trying hard to please. The food overall is very good and a good value for the dollar, but can be hit or miss, my trout, very good, my wife's duck, too rare, desert Creme brulee excellent.

This was our first time going to The Restaurants at Walnut Hill College - and we were impressed that those in training did such a commendable in serving and providing a wonderful meal. They were polite and friendly - and very much willing to share their knowledge of food preparation and management. We'll definitely return - and will recommend it to friends.

The menu is make up by the students. My friend and I both thought the menu this time was just so-so, too many ingredients on one plate yet no real flavor. The spring rolls looked good, but upon tasting them, the ingredients inside had no real taste, were basically hot mush and definitely could have used salt/flavor/more texture, less mush! The peppery tenderloin was good, though mushy....what's with nothing have structure?!! When the highlight of the meal was the wine and fingerling potatoes, there's not much left to say. Good wine and drink list though and it is a pretty place. But won't rush to reserve again.

What a great place! Everything was wonderful, from the excellent service from the moment you walk in the door to the setting and the food. The music is low and they have different rooms, each with its own atmosphere. Everything we are was wonderful and a fantastic value: dishes are all very reasonably priced and just the right portion size. We went for our wedding anniversary on 4/13/18 and our waiter was great (Santo?). They even made this wonderful dessert plate for us...it was such a great surprise!

I have been eating at the Restaurant School for over 25 years to celebrate various special occasions and the food is still amazing! I think it's Philly's best kept secret! We did the Great Chefs Menu and it was unbelievable!!! Excellent service (Mimi our greeter/server made our dining experience very enjoyable!!!), beautiful ambiance, and excellent food! Kudos to the Restaurant School (chefs, instructors, and students) for an excellent dining experience with the Great Chefs Menu!!!!

I always enjoy meals at the Restaurant School. The new international menu had lost of interesting options. Two of us chose the Grilled Pear, Arugula and Endive Salad and we both thought it flavorful and delicious. We both had the Bangers and Mash with Fresh Pea Puree. Our only criticism was that the pork sausages were well charred on the outside, but inside, especially at the ends, they were a little dry. The Onion Gravy helped to mitigate that, tho. The Pea Puree was also a perfect foil to the sausage. Our other companion enjoyed the Potato Croquettes (tho she wished there had been a little more sauce on her plate) and the Chicken Flatbread. One of us had the Sour Cherry but I opted for the Lemon/Ginger Bombe with White Chocolate Bark and Raspberry Sauce: Pure Heaven in my mouth! Thanks to all the staff for making it a wonderful pre-Nor'easter dinner!

We went for Valentine’s Day. It was a great experience. The food was very good. And the decor is what I call “fake fancy”. It feels like you are at a restaurant at Epcot in Disney World. We were in “Italy” in the courtyard. Our waiter was a young, awkward student. It was the Valentines special so a bit pricey. But I definitely want to go back to try other menus.

We went to the Holiday Buffet. It was interesting and delicious. I think there should be a bit more space around the room to get to the food tables. The wait staff were amazing. Very attentive. The young man at the flambe table was chatty and laughed when he had a group that wanted to see the fire. Fun evening.

Not sure the quality of the food was worth the $50 price ticket. I do not plan on going back myself, but I would recommend to a friend. The experience was enjoyable, and our waitress Nina was a doll!

This restaurant school has got it all over "professional " restaurants. First off, the ambience- there are multiple restaurant choices, we chose the international bistro which was lovely. A real flavor of a European street cafe. The other restaurants were equally nice.
The food was tasty, the service attentive, the prices very reasonable. I would go back again.

The service and ambiance were great. When we first got there, we had the place to ourselves. The decor was lovely in the international bistro. Felt like I was in France. The three other people in my party got the same dinner. They said it was way too salty. I got the coq au vin. It was good. Dessert was good too; very creative ideas.

It was... OK. When wr went a few years back, it was a pris fixe menu and now it's a la carte and not as good a value. The selection of choices wasn't impressive either. It was disappointing this time around. We might not return becuase of this new format.
