WE ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF JASPER!!! The Restaurant at Sunwapta is located in the heart of Jasper National Park 53km south of Downtown Jasper and 50km north of the famous Columbia Icefield Centre.

We Close OCT 11, 2020 as we close every year for winter. We Reopen May 16, 2021.

You don’t need to be a Sunwapta hotel guest to stop in and enjoy any of our awesome menus! With local hikes and the waterfall nearby you can grab food to go, or sit and relax. We have COVID-19 safety measures in place so you are totally safe making use of our restaurant.

Sit or take away any meal. Breakfast and lunch to-go from 8am. Join us to sit for lunch from 11am to 5pm. Our renowned evening dining starts at 6pm. You only need reservations for evening dining. Evening dining is casual dress code. Come as you are!

The Restaurant at Sunwapta is a Multiple time winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. We have also won an OpenTable award for consistent high ratings.

We were so happy to have such amazing food available at the hotel. Kudos to the Chef and Staff for their amazing service and menu over Thanksgiving Weekend.

We were looking forward to thanksgiving dinner and we were thrilled with the food and the experience. The turkey was moist, the combination of veggies and yam complemented beautifully. Friendly, engaging staff.

Drove past this place many time and finally decided to make a reservation for dinner and were were not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was amazing and cozy, we were lucky enough to have a table right in front of the fireplace. We have the steak and duck, both were amazing. Definitely will be returning for dinner again. Definitely worth the drive to get here. Probably booking rooms for a few nights to try the rest of the menu! Please go here, places like this are fading away and are a treasure to have and to visit!

Wonderful dining experience with very friendly staff. Food was delicious! We ate three different meals and all were fantastic! We loved the ambiance and all the helpful hiking suggestions!

I would give this place more stars if I could. We literally stumbled upon this place at the last minute. Stayed at the lodge and booked dinner. It was outstanding. The salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. We had the steak and the beef ribs. Both were cooked perfectly. The vegetables on the side were also perfectly cooked. It was followed by two small but delicious desserts - chocolate mousse and panna cotta. We would go out of our way to come back here, hike and eat. We’ve had very expensive dinners all over the world and this would challenge any of them for quality.

The prices were very high for the food. The food looks amazing in regards to how they plate it. The taste is just o.k, nothing special. Prices are way to high for what you get. 30 dollars for a very small piece of lasagne, 51 dollars for a very small piece of steak. Not worth it at all.

A quiet and relaxing spot to unwind after a day in the mountains. Great service was offered by Maria. The 3 course meal is the way to go with the best value. The soup was to die for, the beef rib was good, portion small though. The chocolate mousse to end the meal was superb.
