The restaurant is dark, and it had Cobwebs, dull dark space. Disappointing to say the least. You would expect more for the prices you are paying. I had the cod which was amazing but my husband had the pork chop and it was average. The menu can do with more choices or less of the choices they have. The server was great, she was friendly and caring but the ambiance was so terrible you could not enjoy the dinner. Not worth the money. There is a lot of up selling. The worst part is the expectation from the valet. They take your car and want a tip and then when you pick it up, the valet stood at the car door until we tipped him. This is not the experience people want. Needless to say it is not worth it. Go to the falls, enjoy the 45 minute walk and find some where else to go for dinner. You will surely be disappointed.

Dear Nolana, Thank you so much for providing your feedback. We appreciate you highlighting how wonderful the service was during your visit! However, we're disappointed to read the rest of your visit didn't meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize we fell short with the pork chop dish and lighting in our restaurant. We appreciate your feedback, as this helps our team improve for future visits. We would love to have the chance to welcome you again to provide you with a better dining experience. Would you be willing to reach out to our Director of Food & Beverage? Please message Tristan Chalker via private messenger on OpenTable. We look forward to hearing from you. We hope to welcome you again in the not-so-distant future. Sincerely, The Salish team

A fantastic experience. Only note, as of December 2024 the main restaurant space overlooking the falls is still under construction so the dining space is in the bar area currently, that was also recently remodeled and is a beautiful space. Just, fyi that if you're wanting to overlook the falls, that's not possible right now.

We had our Christmas dinner here, so our menu was limited to a smaller prix fixe selection. Our so so experience and the high cost of the meal may also have been due to a reduced kitchen and waitstaff because of the holiday. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere was cozy and intimate, though a bit pub- like (which we expected because the main restaurant is being remodeled.) We were presented with an creamy soup amuse bouche, which was nice except that one of the two starters on the prix fixe menu was also a cream soup. The first course and the meal in general came way too soon. It seemed like the prix fixe menu was not designed with care or maybe the amuse bouche was an afterthought? We had not even finished our tiny amuse bouche before the first course arrived. The main for both of us was fine, but not special (other than a piece of foie gras on my husband's steak). Dessert was a trio of small items which were also nice, but not at all elegant or subtly flavored like we were hoping for. We paid $125 per person+ tax , tip, and beverages for our meal but in the end were disappointed with the experience relative to the price tag. Service was super friendly, but the things we would expect for the price tag (new silverware for each course, the correct entree being served to each of us, etc) were not there. This was not fine dining as we expected, but again, our experience may have been underwhelming because of the holiday and the restaurant remodel. We will choose something else the next time we want fine dining.

Very disappointing!!! Such a bad choice for Christmas brunch!!! The dining room is being remodeled right now. This information was not available to me when I made this reservations months ago. They did add a note in the fine print of my OpenTable Reservation confirmation (the day before). But technically, they did try to notify us of this. What they didn’t tell anyone about, was that they would be now seating us in a big boring room, with zero Christmas decorations. Too many tables, for too small a room, and it would basically have the ambience & acoustics of a conference room at a Motel 6. Ugh. So disappointing!! Also, the menu choices were not great. Xmas Brunch is a limited menu. We know this, we’ve been often. But we were not at all happy with the few choices they had. We both got the Croque Madame. I didn’t like it, I could taste the oil they cooked it in. Yuck. Hubby liked his, he couldn’t taste the oil. On top of that, I ordered a craft cocktail. It ended up being warm. I hated it. I was not wanting a warm alcohol drink. I double checked the menu, there was definitely no mention of it being a hot drink. No biggie, I’ll just order a new drink…NOPE. Never saw the server again. She never checked on us again. My full drink sat at the end of the table. Our table, and my full drink, were completely ignored. Really ruined what we considered a fun Holiday tradition. We will not be returning next Christmas. We’ll probably come back sometime to check out the new dining room in the future. Give it another chance, but not for Christmas. Still sad they Grinched my Christmas.

Good Christmas Eve lunch before heading down to the lower Falls. The Duck Confit Chilaquiles were spicier than expected, which was a very good thing. My mother enjoyed her Fish & Chips, and the cherry pie was delicious.

Breakfast at Salish on Dec 24th has been our family tradition for the last three years. We always look forward to it. This year was disappointing. We waited for 20 minutes to be seated (with a reservation). We were upstairs in the Attic which was cramped and loud. The food was not as good (coffee was sour) and portions were small. Breakfast for 3 with coffee was $107! Not sure we will be back next year. The view was amazing though.

The service was fantastic. It was our anniversary, they were kind enough to give us a table with a great view of the waterfall. The Risotto was kind of bland, but everything else was delicious.

We met here with our daughter and her new husband as an early celebration for Christmas since we live on opposite sides of the state. I made the only reservation available, which was in the “lounge” because Salish is renovating. We were shown the lounge but were then taken upstairs to a small room with a few tables. Granted, it had a great view of the Falls and we were right by the window. The food was pretty good, not great, but good. The raspberry jam served with the biscuits, which were complimentary, was amazing! The waitress was very kind however she was quite absent and we waited very long times before she would show up again. We thought perhaps she was also working in the main lounge and/or the kitchen was a long ways from the room we were eating in. Overall, we will revisit again when the new restaurant opens because the setting is beautiful. We will give it another try and I would recommend it.
