The Restaurant at Russian River Vineyards Ratings and Reviews
One of my new favorite eateries! The food is amazing, the wine list is off the charts! Great wine bar for tasting, and amazing wine experts! I've eaten here at least 10 times and each one is better than the last! If it weren't so far away I would eat here at least once a week!!! Not Kidding!!!! Oh and yeah the outdoors and music are fabulous!
This restaurant is nestled in the most amazing spot, and its outdoor dining scene is serene. We were fortunate to be there on a most perfect weather evening, and we showed up late enough on a weekday that there were only a couple of other diners. The live music was a guitarist. There were seven of us total - all work colleagues coming from our annual offsite. I just couldn't get over how magical the ambience was - it felt like the most ideal setting to relax, focus on good food and drink and just be pampered a bit.
The food was delicious - all thoughtfully prepared. The selections were few, but given that it was all farm to table it felt fresh and on season.
Finally decided to stop by and loved it. The atmosphere is wonderful, great food , maybe a little pricy for what is served but very well prepared and presented. Tasty local ingredients.
The buratta was great, . Had the chicken sandwich as well, the bread service plate with olive oil and cultured butter.
Than desserts , simple but tasty. The panna cotta could have use a little less "gelling" agent..was a little too firm to our taste, but otherwise great flavors
Will return , highly recommend the whole experience.Very special place.
The outdoor area of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. You sit under a canopy of vines, in a gorgeous garden overlooking fields and orchards. There is very often live music outside on a weekend, and if you are looking to just do wine tasting, the wine tasting area seating is also peaceful and beautiful. The food is great - they have that "farm to table" thing going on, and apparently serve many things that they grow in the orchard on site. The burger is absolutely delicious, but everything that I have tried is lovely. The service is great. There really is nothing to complain about - I've been back multiple times with visitors from outside California and we've always had an amazing time.
A very attractive location with tasty lunch choices: our burger and halibut sandwiches were delicious with high quality ingredients. However, in spite of the fact we were the first customers of the day by 15 minutes, service went awry with our lunch order which got "lost in the computer," resulting in a 45- minute wait for any food while the restaurant filled up and many customers served before us by our and other waiters. We finally received our order after much scrambling by the manager and a small bill credit.
Nice selection of salads with fresh ingredients. We had the black cod and the strip steak which both great. It is one thing to have a dog-friendly establishment with other guests canines sniffing around looking for dropped tasty morsels, it is quite another when the dogs get into little barking spats amongst themselves and disturb the otherwise peaceful evening.
We just love this place. Went for Saturday afternoon brunch with some friends. The menu had a great selection and the food was outstanding. The service even better. We sat on the patio, they had live music that was wonderful....A must try is the roasted beet salad with smoked yogurt. I will be going back again and again. It's well worth the drive.
Doing the wine tasting hop, and happened to pass by. Booked an impromptu lunch reservation while in car (warning: spotty Verizon cell service in the area). We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess. Nothing like have a big smile to welcome you. We were seated at 1:45 pm, but we were not visited by our waitress until 2 pm. She was very sweet, and promptly took our order and got us our drinks. I think since it was a Friday lunch right before weekend, she might have been only waitress there during time we lunched there. Heirloom beet salad was just amazing. So surprised how good it was. We split the burger, and it had meat jus running all down all over it as we bit down into it. It was yummy, and definitely hit the spot. Thumbs up!
We came for lunch for my daughter's birthday. I had heard mixed reviews but it is a beautiful venue and we figured we would give it a try. Food was excellent, but service was slow. We were one of the first tables seated when they opened and other tables were getting food before we had a chance to order. I work in the Hospitality industry, so am probably more forgiving than most and luckily we were enjoying the day and not in a big hurry.
It was a 2-hour drive from home and due to unexpected traffic delays, we couldn't make it on time. I called the restaurant and they were accommodating enough to keep our reservation for another hour. We made it, and it was the drive. Food presentation was perfect.
My wife and I love this restaurant. It's about 1-1/2 hours inland from San Francisco, 3 hours by coast road. Well located amidst the winery, the scenery is gorgeous, the food inventive and creative. As well as very tasty. Service is warm and personable. The only thing seemingly missing is a dog asleep at your feet. 😇
It's not far from a Michelon star.
Could not have been more perfect. Although not a lot of folks on a Wednesday evening had a trio playing great low key music. Wait staff excellent and all their suggestions perfect. Halibut was fantastic as was salad greens! Wine was terrific. Really nice experience.
