We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Corks. We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening. There were eight in our party and we all loved our food. I had the sea food special which was delicious. Our server, Frankie, was excellent and a delight. Everyone there was very attentive. The beautiful patio setting was just what you'd envision when thinking of dining at a vineyard. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great food, Great service, Great garden ambiance. I had to twist arms to select this restaurant, but all were delighted from the moment we drove in.
Sat outside on a beautiful evening. Had great entertainment that was not so loud you couldn't hear your dinner partner. Food was wonderfully prepared and properly proportioned. Would definitely go back when in the area.
We have been going to Cork's (or earlier incarnations at the same location for years). It is just a lovely spot for a summer outdoor dinner. the food seems to keep getting better. We all had salads and some variations of pasta and enjoyed them immensely. Very friendly service. Just a great night out.
Outdoor wine taste under the oaks and redwoods, then follow with a lovely brunch, lunch, or dinner on the shaded patio! Great ambience, wonderful food, and friendly and knowledgeable servers. Live music on Sunday afternoon makes this winery and restaurant extra special!
This is a hidden gem in West County. We enjoyed a delicious meal sitting outside. It felt like we were sitting in a fairy tale and our waiter was amazing. Best beef rips I have ever had. The meat just fell off the bone. The veggies felt like they were just pulled from the garden. We will be back often.
What a wonderful experience. From the gentleman that spoke to us as we entered, the lovely young woman that seated us, the waiter that was knowledgeable and personable, the wonderful food and wine. A very special treat was the live music that was not overpowering but was wonderful. We were there for dinner and every item was outstanding. I also like the feeling that everyone was working together. Our waiter was busy and someone else brought our desert. The Owner stopped by without intruding. I understand they have music for brunch and am looking forward to it. Also lovely to walk around the grounds. We will make sure we have more time on our next visit. Their label wine was outstanding.
I have been wanting to try rabbit for quite a while. The rabbit dish with noodles was really delicious. The Wine Country Charcuterie was very delicious with several meats, several cheeses, and olives. The West County salad was great. Good service. Nothing amiss with the whole package. Will recommend it.
Eight of us had dinner at Corks last week. We thoroughly enjoyed the setting, the service and the food. Staff are friendly and seem genuinely proud of the property and the restaurant. We'll be going back.
Great cold soup - roasted beet and parsnip.Filet mignon was excellently prepared as was the salmon.Desserts by Angelica are always wonderful.Waiter was friendly and engaging.Corks keeps getting better.
Excellent customer service...met the manager, chef , entertainer and had a wonderful waiter. All on the same page and focus on welcoming you and providing you with an excellent dining experience.
Cork's does it again with an outstanding meal. I'd highly recommend Reuben's Reuben. Cork's serves an ample sandwich ...so much so that I skipped dinner later that evening.
We like the outdoor seating area so that we can bring our dog with us. The house dog, Chester is a great dog too!
The cauliflower-potato soup was out of this world wonderful. The main course, Salmon, was also excellent, but not special. Our waiter was over-the-top for total information, clarity and he was the first waiter who delivered every word so that I could hear and understand it. Service during the dinner was a bit weak, e.g. we had to ask twice for bread. Our bottle of "Breathless" champagne was not Iron Horse, but it was a close second. I have been here for lunch and dinner. It's my favorite restaurant in the area and I'll be back.
$40 for pork cho special wasn't worth it and waiter didn't tell us price when describing -- wheras other entress were in $20-25 range--too loud inside dining
The quiet setting, with an enchanting view, set the ambiance of the meal with great friends, and an excellent choice of food for a fabulous dinner!
We celebrated my uncle's honeymoon at this lovely winery restaurant. We sat outside, the ambiance was great, they had live music, an outdoor tasting bar, friendly staff, and the food was very good. Highly recommend this place.
We live in the area and have never tried this jewel in the woods. We were so happy to see that the chefs choices were right up there with the Bay Area best. The Market Salad fresh from their garden was a real treat. The patio is certainly the way to go. Of course, the temperatures were fantastic that day. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice Pinot Noir made by Cork's own winery Russian River Vineyards. Even more impressed were my foodie out of town guests. Thanks for the memories.
Chris and Gio and the team keep delivering great food with great service.
This stop on our way to Mendocino was fantastic. We started out with an excellent wine tasting outside in the lovely courtyard with a view of the vineyards and oak covered hills. Next we were seated outside on a large patio with beautiful overhead pergola. The menu was simple, yet comprehensive. Our meals were excellently prepared and beautifully presented. All staff were professional and friendly. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the varlous wines we tasted. We ended up buying more than a case of fine wine. We will definitely be back!
We chose to try Corks Restaurant the other night when a friend was visiting the area. Set at the Russian River Winery, we had a wonderful dinner, great service, and friendly relaxed atmosphere, not a stuffy pretentious place. The food was prepared excellently, and the chef came to our table when I asked a question about the preparation of his couscous that was absolutely the best I've ever tasted beneath a tempura soft shell blue crab. If you are in the Russian River area, this is a must go to place. Lovely outdoor dining, as well as cozy indoors for those who prefer. Large family style tables available as well.
Really excellent meal and service. Beautiful location and ambiance. I have to say though that the 2 winery dogs being allowed to wander freely amongst the patrons was somewhat off putting. They were well behaved, but still… dogs where food is being served???
Corks at Russian River Vineyards has a nice feel and ambience along with beautiful grounds. However, the food is overall underwhelming for the price tag. The service was also poor to fair. It seemed as if multiple times we were forgotten about - shown the wine list, took our orders and took 10-15 minutes to get our drinks; same thing with the dessert.
I was much happier with lesser priced restaurants in the Russian River area. Food and service was better and there wasn't a $100+ bill by the end of the evening.
Over the past four(4) years I'm thinking we have been to Cork's a dozen times for both dinner & lunch and we have never been disappointed. In fact, we always talk about the taste sensations we've just had as we're walking to our car and driving home. We've recommended this restaurant to friends and they've enjoyed it as well. Please try Cork's . . . I think you'll be very happy you did!! Also, join the Russian River Vineyard's Wine Club, the wine is excellent and you'll receive a 20% discount each time you dine at Cork's. Enjoy!
This restaurant is beautiful! We sat outside on their patio and it felt like we were at a friend's farm property! The ambience was rural yet tres chic! My Mom and I had their brunch and the ingredients were grown locally and in their garden! We are definitely coming back!
We love this place so much we had lunch here twice in a row.
The crab cakes were some of the best I have ever had. They paired this with a citrus salad with grapefruit and oranges - very fresh and zesty.
The patio is very nice with beautiful sculptures all around.
You can wine taste while you are eating lunch. The wines at Russian River Vineyard are great.
And we were joined by Chester the wine dog who was so sweet and cute it made lunch that much nicer with him at my feet.
The menu choices and the specials were outstanding. Nothing left on any of our plates.
While this restaurant is a good one, I must comment on the service. The Waiter took our orders shortly after our arrival at 1:45 p.m. The drinks and the starters were delivered shortly and were really good. However, the entrees did not arrive until after 3:15 p.m. That is just too long to wait for entrees. I understand that this was Easter Sunday and the kitchen was probably being rushed, but we were never informed that there was a problem until we started asking about 3:00 p.m.
I have been very disappointed by other restaurants lately in their service (friendliness, timeliness, being professional). Corks has outstanding service! Outstanding food & ambience. On Easter, they didn't replace their regular menu with an overpriced special menu. They had both the regular menu & a nice special menu. Nick the waiter is incredible! This is our new regular restaurant where we can feel welcome & at home. Thank you Corks!
We recently visited Healdsburg for our 20th wedding anniversary .... we had brunch at Corks at Russian River Vineyards before we headed back to San Francisco to catch our flight. It was a gorgeous setting in their outdoor patio & the food was fabulous. We couldn't have wrapped up our trip with anything better. What a cool place.
We dined the night before Easter. The main dining room was set for Easter Brunch so we ate in room off of the patio. Beautiful room but meal almost ruined by loud group next to us. Literally could not hear ourselves speaking to have a conversation. Moved one table over but in the future, we will save our trips to Corks for when more dining space is available.
Food was amazing as usual!
This was out first time dining in the remodeled restaurant. We chose to eat indoors as we had an elderly member who is susceptible to the cold. The restaurant wasn't quite finished as one of the indoor rooms was still under construction. The new colors are great and I love the succulents on the tables. Unfortunately, the windows had been painted shut and there was a heavy smell of fresh paint in the room. This will dissipate over time but it did affect my taste buds during the meal. Even so, everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely return but will try to sit outside next time.
A great place to sit outdoors, enjoy the day with great food. We loved the smoked chicken tostadas, ruben and fish and chips. Last time I had the farm fresh salad and t was amazing. Service was very attentive but not overpowering. If you just want good food and to sit back and relax while enjoying the day, this is the spot.
Dare I write a review? Not sure if I want others to discover this hidden gem. Amazing food, attentive service and incredible wine list. Oh, and did I mention that the restaurant sits in the middle of a beautiful vineyard and they serve the wine too?
Maybe it was under-staffed, the service was extremely slow from taking orders, serving food to processing bill.
The restaurant was pretty empty when we got there yet we were told that the kitchen was swamped and it would take a while for our food to be served- unfortunately the results weren't really worth the wait. My salad was under-dressed and no taste of the avocado; the soup was just ok. As for the entree, while the lamb meatballs were tough and did not taste like lamb, the polenta was delicious. My husband had a ruben sandwich which he loved; my friend had a vegetable sandwich which was relatively plain.
Overall it was not a great experience. We will look for somewhere else for lunch next time.
Decided to try this restaurant because they were participating in Sonoma Restaurant week. We sat outdoors and it was just wonderful. The food was great. We had the Gio Burger and the Fish and Chips with Truffle fries, and it was very tasty. It was a great place to stop between wine tastings.
Corks is set in the redwoods of Forestville,CA. Situated next to a piece of history in the countryside. The rustic wooden winery building next to the restaurant has been there as long as I can remember. I have lived in Sonoma County since I was six,and I am now 59. The food was fresh as this is a garden to table restaurant. The servers and hostess were kind and considerate. It felt very comfortable. The outside patio is very nice and the Garden Room also. I did not sit outside as I brought my 88 year old mother and she gets cold easily. It was a very nice experience.
The food was excellent, the wine list had a great variety of choices, and the ambiance was superb. We love eating at Corks!
We eaten here twice on recent trips to Russian River Valley and the food was better this trip than the first. A very nice place for a quiet meal with some nice wine!
While I hadn't expected to order a cheeseburger at this "food lovers" spot, I did and it was amazing!!! Their beef patties are made up of a mix of Angus steaks, thus the name "Geo Steak Burger." My husband had an equally excellent soup of the day. They let me taste two different wines before ordering. Nice folks.
