Pros: Loved the venue and the history. Food was delish. Service was impeccable. Husband and I ordered the steak dish with tiny potatoes and mushrooms. The charcuterie board as an app was very tasty. Cons: A gratuity of 20% was automatically assessed to (paraphrase) ensure the staff is paid adequately. To be clear, the service, venue and food were worth EVERY cent. However, I am of the belief that I should determine the value of the service I received. Furthermore, guests should be made aware of the service charge beforehand. If it was posted it was very discrete.

We went there for my wife’s 90th birthday and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had

The ragu appetizer was so good we could easily make it our entree. Steak and risotto delicious. Chocolate cake one of the best we’ve ever had! A wonderful way to celebrate an anniversary

This was our 3rd trip here in 6 months-we drive in from Knoxville. The setting is gorgeous & the food and service have been spectacular. Highly recommend the Prime Hanger Steak! That’s why you’ll be planning your next trip back before you pay the bill for this one!!

Lovely experience. Took some friends from out of state that had never been there before. Unfortunately it was raining but we were still able to see waterfall and where fire would have been. Food was delicious, we had the Risotto, Pork, and Hanger Steak. Everything was wonderful. Server was excellent! Thanks again for a great evening.

RT Lodge restaurant is the perfect place for any special occasion dinner. The food, service and atmosphere is near perfect. My wife and I have celebrated several anniversary dinners here and have never been disappointed.
