   We've been to the Vanilla Pod several times over the past few years. The food is usually good, though the menu selection is very limited, now mostly centred around assorted appetizers and flatbreads and is getting to be expensive for what you actually get on the plate. On our recent visit there was a fish special in addition to the two fish selections already on the one-page regular menu and surprisingly no chicken at all (beef and duck were also on the standard menu). A 40oz $265 Wagu beef tomahawk cut steak was the other dinner "special" - not something two people with normal sized appetites would be willing to share. A limited selection of local wines and a full bar. The view is fantastic especially In the evening when the sun is setting and you are sitting on the great outdoor patio - but at this time of year, the wasps were quite annoying as well! We weren't happy with the service this visit - felt very neglected; incorrect drink order, a long wait for dishes to be removed between courses, water glasses not refilled despite 3 requests - not just us but we overheard repeated requests for water, their second bottle of wine, etc. from the 4 people at the next table. We had just dined at Waterfront Wines (Kelowna) and had a far better experience for less money as well as at Theo's Greek restaurant in Penticton , a much more casual place however the service was outstanding. Perhaps because it was nearing the end of the summer season that things were "a little rough around the edges" - not really an excuse though for such an expensive restaurant.

   Had a great supper on our honeymoon. Had a wine tasting at the winery before supper and enjoyed a great bottle of wine looking over the lake with dinner.

   This is one of our favourite places to take friends and family who are visiting us in the south Okanagan. The food and beverages are top-notch, the service is always friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is modern and comfortable, and the view is spectacular.

   A memorable meal as always! Worth noting that the flatbread is not only delicious, it is huge! We had to bring half home with us or we would have not been able to eat the main course. Also worth noting, a specific table can be requested when booking.

   Expensive restaurant and food excellent. Unfortunately, service was abysmal - wait 10 minutes for a menu, plates not cleared away, poor drink service and had to walk to the bench for our bill. Overall poor service - not what you expect from an expensive restaurant

    By far the best restaurant in Pentiction. Beautiful setting and view accompanied by very good food, wine and service. Great for 2 people to larger groups for both lunch and dinner. Our fravorite is a having a bottle of Poplar Grove Blanc De Noirs with the flat breads on the deck.
