Very polite and knowledgeable staff. Good was amazing and the wine pairing was on point. Beautiful location! Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we didn't get the chance to explore the 42 acre farm but still definitely return.
Having been before I anticipated the same excellence as before. I was accompanied by a friend. My first moment of ire was walking across the parking lot and receiving a call asking if we were coming received at the minute of the reservation. All tables were empty save 4 along the window. We were seated by the music and it was a bit loud for our location in the dining room. My friends appetizer was too salty for me who eats salt plain and it was removed from the bill. My wahu was underdone as it was cool inside. The desserts were ok but not remarkable. His entree was a crispy beef with a pancake, eggplant, peanuts, and some deep fried beef. I ate some and had reoccurring flavor all day. Our table sat at a spot where the glass top was leaking from the rain. They did offer to move us, which we declined as we were almost done. The did remove the price of the coffee from the bill for the inconvenience. The service was adequate but all in all it was not the dream team for what I hoped to be a special treat and would not take the chance again by returning.
This is a very unique dining experience almost European. Incredible dishes you wont find just anywhere. A bit pricey but definately a place for special ocassions.
A dining experience, not a dinner. Eight courses. Very small portions. No choice in selections. If you do not like an item you are out of luck. Biggest disappointment was my small piece of ribeye steak—it was 65 percent fat with little meat. Nice complimentary chocolate moose cake provided for anniversary. Service is very good. Very expensive. Go for an experience but not a dinner.
The setting is lovely. The staff is friendly. The food is mediocre. And the price is ridiculous. This restaurant strives for greatness but falls short. The quiche was overcooked and the chicken was a bit dry. However the sauce was delicious. We didn't order anything else because you are over-charged for everything, including bread service. This could be a lovely regular spot on many lists but instead shoots for extraordinary special occasion that will unfortunately disappoint.
The Restaurant has been on our "go to" list for some time but this was the first occasion we had to go there. It was a fantastic evening including the food, views, ambience and the staff whose friendliness, service and attention to our needs, and expert knowledge of the food was unsurpassed. Definitely go for the wine pairings which nicely complemented each of the courses. Other than some of the dishes being just a bit salty for our tastes, the food was magnificent and locally sourced. We began with one of their signature cocktails, which got the evening off on the right foot, and then proceeded through their seven course menu with a wine pairing with each course. The evening was especially memorable not only because of the food and service, but the wonderful view of the bridge over the Potomac going toward Point of Rocks with the full, August moon shining over it.
Interesting food, beautiful views but definitely overpriced. We skipped on the $17(!!) cocktails and had iced tea instead. No price on the menu nor did our waitress let us know that there were no refills. 4 iced teas were $24! The bread plate took 25 min to arrive, and our entree came shortly after, poor pacing for a highly rated restaurant. There are too many amazing restaurants in DC to spend your money here.
A beautiful evening and a wonderful meal. Plan on spending about three hours for the whole experience.
If you love food with variety there is no better restaurant is the world
Yet another excellent dining experience at the Farm. Eclectic, tasty, great service, and the addition of live background music merely guarantee a return journey to this exclusive gem of an enticing brunch experience, in an outdoor setting, for a family brunch.
Sometimes, like now, you can write a restaurant review in one word: Perfect.
My wife and I celebrated her birthday here and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The service was extraordinary and the ambiance is phenomenal. The attention to detail on every aspect of the meal / experience was what made this so special.
The food was amazing! Each course was fully described by one of the fantastic servers, who knew each and every detail about the dish you were about to enjoy. We left with full belly's and big smiles, truly a night to remember!
Just moved to Maryland and found the restaurant. Easily the best restaurant we are found in the Maryland Virginia area so far. We ate things that we would have never ordered often à la cart menu. We love the adventure. We are foodies from New York and this will now become our favorite date night restaurant.
Excellent service, food and cocktails
Again a great experience - this time family style supper with so many dishes at one time on the table - all was very much enjoyed. The wine selection can be better - ordering the best and only one bottle available...
Beautiful view, wonderful food and excellent service!!
This place is the best in many ways. Beautiful scenery and creative/delicious!
Loved this restaurant! Fanciest food I've ever had. I experienced new tastes and flavors - I definitely want to try it again!
Beautiful views, warm wonderful staff and service, incredible creative local seasonal organic farm to table. Blown away! Highly recommend!!!!
I had not visited this restaurant in some time and was counting on the strength of my memory of previous meals. This was my 1st visit for a Sunday brunch/lunch. The food was superior and the service exceptional. Wonderful time!
My friends and I love dining. We really don't discriminate. We can go for a Chik-Fi-La sandwhich to a high end meal. But, when it comes to fine dinning, we definitely have our standards. We are always looking for the "best" restaurant. A few of us have been to the Inn at Little Washington. If you have been there, you know how darn pricey that is! I was disappointed, because we only liked a few dishes. Yes, the atmosphere is nice and service was good. BUT, Patowmack, blows it out of the water. Every dish was creative, an explosion of flavors for every bite. Yes, this is expensive too, but no where near what the Inn charges. I took my hubby here for his birthday. We both would rather die than eat oysters, mushrooms, and liver. However, wouldn't you know it, that is what was on the pre-fixed menu at Patowmack that night. Well, knowing how much we were paying, we ate it. I am not exaggerating, it was sooooo good, the best I have had. If it could turn two haters into lovers, that is saying something. My hubby is not a "foodie" like myself. But, he loved it. It was the best dining experience. We sat outside and got to enjoy the view. The staff explained every dish in detail, not like the Inn. The owner even checked on us a few times, not like the Inn. Granted, the Inn is more hoity toity, very nice place. The Patowmack is more a farm, more rustic. I myself love that because I feel more comfortable. One of my friends continues to dine there as much as she can. I really truly believe that this is the best restaurant in VA/DC because of the creativity that is entailed, the presentation, the taste, and the consistency. Thank you Patowmack for a great dining experience!!! Well worth the price.
First time but not last. Saturday lunch. Loved it. Eager now to go for dinner. I
Never disappoints. We've been here for birthdays, holidays, and days when we just want a cool vibe. A nice drive in the country if you're coming from Montgomery county.
The food was great and the service was also great!!
I’m not sure how I missed it but this is a set menu, absolutely no choices, and $110 a person. If you are fine with that then go! Beautifully creative menu and presentation of each course was amazing. Outstanding quality is represented in every ingredient. The wine pairing was quite nice but the pores were more of a tasting per course, not the half glass that was described.
Amazing. Meal of a lifetime!
This is the absolute best option for a special night out, whether as a date or to treat family and friends! Unbelievable cuisine which I have never found at other restaurants.
The food was exquisite and the staff was very personable and attentive.
Fantastic for our 49th anniversary. We were greeted with politeness and that went through the entire evening. Wait staff let us take our time and enjoy the view and great food.
Spectacular! The food and drinks are creative and absolutely delicious. Service is off the charts attentive. Very trendy, fun and the view is spectacular. Menu changes often, so you can go every month and have a totally different dining experience.
The farm to table experience was outstanding in every aspect. I would return to this restaurant in a second!
Lovely staff, hostess was so kind. Food is incredible, so fresh and from the farm. Very inventive and yet so sweetly simple. Loved it!
A wonderful experience. The Farm is an idyllic setting with beautiful views of the river and mountains. The food is fresh from the farm, expertly prepared and creatively delicious! Beverly and her team are a great hosts — attentive and gracious. If you haven’t been, make a reservation now!
Excellent service and food. Wonderful view, friendly staff. Will come back.
A cozy, personalized dining experience. Staff made you feel welcome and appreciated. Service was timely and every details looked upon. Manager was warm and not overbearing. Setting and the view of the Potomac were outstanding. Clientele was in our league and seems to enjoy. It was a spot worth the one and a half hour drive from Silver Spring, MD.
This was a fabulous meal. Get ready for a fun and unique dining experience and be prepared to be completely full afterwards. We highly recommend the progressive menu with the wine pairing. And the views are beautiful.
Everything was spot-on! We had a wonderful experience. Even the cocktails were great 😊
You will have food here that you won't get anywhere else. All of the menu items are carefully crafted to represent local ingredients. The service is outstanding. You don't often get a choice on what you eat here, but everything is outstanding so it is hard to complain!
As always a fantastic and memorable experience!
The decision to eat outside, under a tent, on a 85 degree day sadly diminished the quality of otherwise exceptionally prepared food. I can only hope this decision was due to a malfunctioning AC in enclosed dining area. The constant swatting of gnats and flies over the $85 per head food ruined the experience that this restaurant is known for delivering. While Mother Nature is Mother Nature and not everyone is high maintenance eating outside, the lack of attention to detail on water refill and specialty cocktails only compounded the poor decision to dine al fresco. If outside eating was the plan, please promote in advance so customers can prepare accordingly or look elsewhere. Thank you.
