Delightful father's day brunch. View was extraordinary. The food (pre-fixe) was exquisite offering of dishes prepared with subtle tastes, combinations, and blending of spices. We could not have asked for a better meal. The service was top quality--efficient, knowledgeable, and pleasant. This is a true gem.
Lovely dinner to celebrate a special birthday occasion. Food was delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. Wine pairing selections were fantastic.
Beautiful, rural view.
Everything was wonderful, however I must let you know that some of the food was very salty. I realize that it is a challenge to not use a lot of salt and make new food combinations palatable.
The restaurant was lovely as always, the waitstaff attentive, the food excellent and Beverly the perfect host. Thank you Patowmack farm.
Out of this world dining experience! The food was incredible, the flavors unbelievable, service outstanding, and the view is unmatched. Cannot wait to go back again!
This was Anniversary #5 and it all started here with our wedding! This place is amazing, from Beverly the owner, Tarver the chef magician and the amazing wait staff! The Best meals of my life have been enjoyed here!!!
The food, ambiance and service were outstanding. While expensive, it is definitely the place to celebrate a special occasion. Our waitress, Tareece (sp?) carefully explained each course and the history and mission statement of the restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Another outstanding experience at Patowmack Farms. This is my favourite restaurant in Loudoun County
Exceptional experience in all respects. Ending with fireflies! Magical!
Beautiful setting, knowledgeable wait staff that aims to please
One of the best dining experiences ever in VA or anywhere else in the country. Inspiring menu, imaginative preparation, presentation and absolutely delicious dining experience. There are many fancier restaurants which cannot compare to the quality of the ingredients, and the unparalleled taste of the menu, coupled with exceptional service.
Very unique experience. We overall enjoyed ourselves. It was very bizarre they brought out bread for our gluten free item which I was about to eat because they said everything was. I have never had that happen, and then for the waitress to come back and say the chef says gluten free people like their bread. What? Nothing about that made sense. That could have been a serious issue for me, had we lot asked and made sure, if that is true that the chef just wants to do it that way , let your costumers know, because I would have had it but my husband thankfully asked, and I just trusted it was right. If you are paying so much money, I would have thought someone would have offered me something for the mistake, it was bizarre and not what we are used to when dining out. We love the place but we felt it was important to speak on this for other GF people to ask questions.
It was a lovely meal in both flavor and texture. The descriptions of where things came from were great and really added to the experience.
This was a perfect dining experience. The food and service were exquisite. I was surprised by how good deliciousness could make me feel. Compliments to everyone involved.
Creative, unique dishes. Excellent staff. Worth the price!
Great lunch experience. We've been there for dinner, and were not able to take advance of the view (it was dark). The food, service, and overall ambience made for a perfect early Mother's Day.
Truly unforgettable experience! Every stage of the 9 course menu featured locally sourced produce and even locally foraged herbs and was packed with perfectly balanced and unique flavors. Served in a fun way, with a stunning view over Point of Rocks on the Potomac. Service was top notch. Perfect in every way.
Amazing. Worth the drive. Nothing like it. Incredible tastes inspired by the region, beautifully presented with incredible wine pairings. A must dine experience!
The ambiance is a country farm, so not fancy. I was overdressed in a dress. But the site has a beautiful view of rolling hills and the Potomac River. The food was excellent and the service matched.
Just another extraordinary experience and a perfect weather-day to boot. Thank you again for a truly memorable day !!
This place never fails to impress! Once again a fantastic meal and we lucked out with amazing weather and view! I tell people that have never been.... even if you're not sure what something is on the menu, try it! You will probably love it!
Easter brunch! Amazing ! Dining with views of the Potomac. Wonderful food and warm genuine service . Truly a Michelin Star experience. Well worth the trip ; )
Just wonderful start to finish. The venue is lovely, with incredible vistas of the mountains. The food was outstanding and unique, as was the presentation and the staff's approach. They were informed and attentive without hovering. All of them were delightful. Our dinner was a 30th college reunion of roommates, and we all traveled to be there. Well worth it!
The staff was courteous and polite. The area was clean. The food presentation and taste were amazing. The setting was beautiful. I'd definitely go back.
This isn't a restaurant for just anyone. This is a restaurant for people who view dining as an emotional, all senses engaged Experience. The same people who may be just as happy at their local diner because it's all about the sense of camaraderie/familiarity but who appreciate a truly creative chef and restaurant in proper context. And "judge" each, quite differently - and yet, somehow the same because we're talking about how a restaurant can make you feel. Chef Tarver King and his team have created a bit of a culinary wonderland, almost off the beaten track, utilizing foraged local ingredients and sustainable goods. How did I feel when we got up from our table and made our way back to our lodging ? Loved. Fully sated, satisfied and, quite frankly, giddy ! It is clear that this restaurant not only loves what they do but takes true pleasure in finding new ways to engage their guests. I felt honored to sit at their table.
All of that said - yes, yes, yes to the greenhouse. Who in the world does not like to dine outside or almost outside, with a view ?! And, to be greeted with glasses of a most excellent Cava sent to us by the barkeep at the local distillery, Catoctin Creek Distilling, whom we had visited the day before ? Small town gestures in a big way.
The food - oh the wonderful description defying food. As a preface, pay attention to the dishes, bowls, pottery, plants, furniture and wood serving pieces as they fit the venue, food and handmade small batch "goods". Each course arrives with a somewhat complex description of each dish - if you remember every ingredient, good on you. Each course also arrives with a card that gives a "mission statement" to the ingredients - and without going into a plate by plate description of every single delicious thing we ate, will simply say "Thank you Chef and team for one of the most stellar dining experiences of our lives."
Dining with old friends at our most favorite spot! Chef Tarver and his team NEVER disappoint!!!
All of the food was perfect, perfectly presented and really creative. Best bloody mary I have ever had. Pricey, but worth it.
The location of the restaurant is excellent Internet foothills of the Blue Ridge, overlooking the Potomac. Quiet and lovely when you can sit outside. The food once five star quality has declined over the years and while the chef occasionally surprises with a unique dish, most are ordinary and unremarkable. The service is just adequate. I would recommend only for the view in the warm weather
A perfect restaurant for a special occasion. My wife really enjoyed her birthday there. The service is not only great, but the staff really knows the background of the food and what creates the great flavor. I say it is great for a special occasion, because there are a lot of courses, so you have a nice time to talk. The food is out of this world. I have never had a oyster that was this sweet. The presentation of every course is unique, from the red buds to put on top of the first course to the steak cooked on a stone for the main course.
We had a wonderful Birthday brunch with family, the experience couldn't have been better! From the personalized menus to the creative and delicious meal, we were blown away!
Absolutely phenomenal and memorable dining experience which puts the other DC region tasting menus (pineapple & pearls, Volt) to shame. Lovely owner, rustic yet charming setting with memorable and well constructed courses with attentive and graceful service.
Unique and creative food
It does not overstate it to say this was the most amazing dining experience that my wife and I have ever had. Flawless service, perfect food, delightful ambience. There need to be more places on this planet like Patowmack Farm.
My husband and I had an excellent experience at the Patowmack Farm. The service was wonderful, the food was outstanding, and the wine pairing was perfect.
My only con would be that Potowmack Farm was very pricey. But I can blame myself for not looking at the prices prior to making reservations.
We enjoyed the Norwegian-themed Sunday Supper very much! Excellent job by the chef, and the staff were wonderful. Also surprised at how good the cocktails were. My husband had an Old-fashioned and I had the Norwegian Forrest. Both were perfect
Awesome experience worth the trip out there. A special night well done
Such a great experience. Will definitely be back. Food is top notch and wine pairings are perfect.
Went for brunch on a Saturday. Wow. Much better than I expected. Well worth the trip. Have heard from others that dinner is even better.
Dining at Patowmack Farm is a very special experience. Each morsel was tasty and unique, and the waitress carefully explained its contents and how it was prepared. We left fully satisfied, and in awe of the kitchen staff who created such wonderful tastes and treats.
