Very nice place, excellent service ... but this time the food (New Year's day menu) was not up to our previous experiences. It was uneven and, as a result, the meal overall a disappointment.

We had a wonderful brunch at Patowmack. The service was friendly and familiar, and paced nicely. We felt cared for and not rushed. The food was incredible- every person in our party was so impressed with the composition of the dishes and how delicious they were. The views can’t be beat!

An overall incredible experience! And the food was out of this world. The staff was so attentive, knowledgeable and professional. We can't wait to return and see what other magic Chef King Craver has up his sleeve.

This is my third time at Patowmack and my friends 15th time or so. We have dined all over and find this to be the best value and just an awesome experience. The chef is a creative genius. We have been to the Inn at Little Washington and spent double what we spent at Patowmack yet the experience was not as good. We don't understand why the Inn has these Michelin stars when Patowmack doesn't. We have come to the conclusion that Michelin is rigged or political. Anyway, you can tell the chef is passionate. Every bite is an explosion of flavor. You think "how is this going to taste" because you can't imagine it going well together, but it is the perfect balance of flavors! The drive might be a little long, but so worth it. Every time you go there it will be a different experience. He does not repeat dishes, and if he does it is varied a bit. I would be devastated if this place did not exist! The owner is a lovely lady who walks around and greets you. It is a casual/rustic atmosphere that seems homey. I love this place!!!!

We have been going here for almost 9 years now and every time is exciting and lovely! The food is amazing, the wait staff is kind, knowledgable, and good at providing a high level service experience. Beverly is a tremendous woman who greets each guest during their meal and instantly makes you feel like a friend. We'll be back again and again.

Our foursome was delighted with each dish -- appetizers, entrees and desserts. It's a truly special cuisine, boasting organic and locally sourced, exceptions being the wines (entirely NOT Virginian -- why? Probably because the world-wide selection was simply superior?) and the cocktail ingredients. Oh, and the cocktails were really uniquely prepared (the Potowmack Old Fashioned being particularly outstanding). The view of the Potomac Bridge (US 15) was dramatic and lovely. Plan a visit as part of any trip to Leesburg.

A unique and special experience, ideal for a significant birthday celebration. Food quality was excellent both in terms of taste and presentation. Ours was a set menu evening, which was great for us, but not so good for the kids. A minor downside though, that was down to us. Will definitely go back in the summer for an outdoor dining opportunity.

Definitely a place to go for the experience, but we probably won’t return. The food was ok, but portions were small and we left hungry. One alarming point: the swordfish was told to be presented “medium rare” but was absolutely rare and raw in the middle. Swordfish is not a fish you can safely undercook. Several dishes were also received cold, most likely because it was carried from the kitchen into the dining room through the outdoors. Staff was warm and they all worked together to care for the guests but more than one struggled to explain and identify the dishes.

This meal fell short of all expectations. Our dinner for two with wine pairings came to ~$420. At this price point you would expect a meal that exceeds all expectations not th contrary. Our main course was tough steak and the wine pourings were no where close to generous. I will urge any friend who asks me about this place not to pay for this lackluster experience.

The service was at a very high level, and the food even higher. For me, the bread service (for two) topped with a quail egg was wonderful. The highlight was the Celery Soup! It reminded me of a warm, comforting veloute and was absolutely delicious!

We love this place, and have eaten weekend lunch now in three different seasons. The view is still spectacular even on a rainy wintry day. The food is locally sourced and very creatively prepared and the menu is constantly changing. Knowledgeable attentive servers who yet don't "hover". I checked "good for groups" because although we were a party of just 4, there was a large anniversary family party in the room concurrently and they seemed to be very well attended. My only gripe with this restaurant is that I wish they consistently offered some lighter options; after the appetizer (a riff on chicken pot pie, which was delicious) I could barely finish half of the venison burger entree. And no room for dessert, which we know from past trips can be amazing!

Have been wanting to go to Patowmack for years, finally made it for my birthday! It did not disappoint, relaxed, beautiful setting in the greenhouse, GREAT food and service, lovely location. We will be back in the spring for dinner or brunch on the amazing outdoor patio overlooking point of rocks. Thank you for all!

We had a beautiful experience. It was a Saturday night birthday dinner for 4 people. We had the set menu without any changes. And 2 of us had the wine pairing. The food was unusual and surprising, with an emphasis on indigenous and colonial methods of preparation. A lot of attention to a sustainable world.
Attentive service with a lot of information about the food, if you want it. Everything had an interesting twist to it.
They even put the birthday person’s name on the menu.
My advice is - put yourself in their hands and have a good time. It’s expensive but very much worth it.

We had an enjoyable dinning experience. The food and presentations were unique and creative. Unfortunately it was a little more show than substance. The food was good, not great. For the price I believe the food should be great, and there was really nothing that was outstanding. I don't regret going, but I wouldn't go again. I would give 3.5 stars if I had the option.

Excellent food. Service is very friendly. The place is nice and simple, but the decoration can be improved. I was surprised that the kitchen and bathrooms are in another building, which is OK, except that there is no cover if it rains or snows. Nice views of the Potomac river. We went for brunch, but we hear that they have a 6-course dinner which is quite good.

This was our second visit to Patowmack Farm, both times for weekend lunch/brunch. You really can't beat the scenic view of the Potomac River and Point of Rocks bridge, along with (at this time of year) the beautiful fall foliage. Last time we sat outside, this time inside the dining room which as best I can tell is a converted greenhouse, with lots and lots of windows. Comfortable seating, noise level that accommodates easy conversation. Attentive and very knowledgeable waitstaff. A nice selection of handcrafted cocktails as well as old standbys like Bloody Mary. Amazing bread service (smoked corn muffins this time), don't miss that! The menu is constantly changing and is based on locally sourced seasonal items. We loved the venison sausage dish and the superb soup, and for dessert the St Stephens cheese fondue (which wasn't a fondue at all but which was delicious and more savory than sweet). We will be back again!

Although everything was well presented, given the limitations of seasonal foods available on the farm, the food was average. Seasoning was a bit overdone on some dishes. The location is very rustic, but given the lack of a formal dining room, the impromput greenhouse that was being used as a dining room seemed a bit post celebration banquet hall. The main course (on our evening was Gloucester pork) was wholly unimpressive, although the Hammon potato was quite good. The paw paw desert needed something to moisten the dry walnut cake. Given the aspirations of this restaurant, a lot of work has to be done from top to bottom.

Wonderful place to relax into a nice dining experience. Food is creative and delicious. Only wish there was a nice crusty sourdough bread to lap up some of the delicious sauces...and maybe a little more wines to choose from by the glass. Otherwise a delicious time! Lunch here was lovely. Quiet enough for conversation, not busy at all. The food was exquisite. Such an unusual location with an incredible view over the Potomac, not another dwelling in sight. Charmingly rustic, the menu was short and this diner wanted everything on it. Good wine list too. The butternut squash soup was out of this world. Bravo!
