What Insiders Are Saying
Georgie is a prime Beverly Hills power lunching spot.
Amazing service and atmosphere.
Just for Valentines after good life music, club playlist was as a cold shower.
Rest: food, service, wine were amazing
From the moment we walked in we had excellent service and attention. The set Valentine's menu was exceptional and every course was exceptional. White linen table cloth, rose pedals spi led on the floor and soft female vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar set thr mood for an extremely romantic and memorable evening from the moment we sat down. Not cheat but definitely worth it
Service was 5 Star - every couple of minutes someone from the wait staff and come by and check on our table. The Branzino and Halibut were both superb. The bar across from the restaurant was also packed with patrons and this was on a quiet Tuesday night
The food is always amazing. The service is always beyond the top. Everyone has a smile and willing to help. Every time we have a wonderful experience
Excellent meal. We had filet and lamb chops.
The restaurant is not crowded and very nice however the service was slow and non-existent at times. They were pleasant and apologized a few times for the wait however it continued throughout the night.
The food was great but the waiter was very blahbish, we asked him to describe the desert and he looked at us like a deer with a headlights.
Boring restaurant. Food was bland. Our bottle of Chardonnay was not impressive, just expensive. I would rather go to CATCH LA ;)
The food was substandard.
It was nice to go out for dinner on Christmas Day. The experience felt a little chaotic though. The first sitting of diners clearly had stayed longer than the restaurant expected. When guests like ourselves arrived for their 7pm reservations it was clear they couldn’t be seated for at least 20 minutes. We eventually sat outside under a heater and enjoyed our prix fixe meal. The food and wine were very nice but for a $300+ dinner, the experience was underwhelming.
We had a wonderful Christmas Dinner there
It was just perfect and thanks to our server Sergio..he was a real charm and very nice and good service
We had reservation for Christmas brunch. We were given a horrible table in a very poor location. Our reservation was at 12:30 and they sat us at 1:15. Foot was not great at all. Food was very cold including lamb and beef, soup. Coffee was extremely cold. Very very disappointed.
We went for xmas brunch. For the price it was very underwhelming. Just a cafe feel. Service was slow and lacking . An additional $40 for endless mamosas but no complementary champagne or mamosa for xmas cheer. Would not return for any special occasion. The old restaurant was much more formal and special. Food was a standard buffet.
Christmas Eve - a disaster. On the strength of a wonderful holiday dining experience at another Montage hotel, we chose to book Christmas Eve dinner here. It was one of those awful evenings when everything is wrong. When booking the table there was no indication that the bulk of the tables were outside - mind you it was in the 50 degree range. The hostess was not interested in the fact that we wanted to sit inside - she had planned on our sitting outside and that is where we would sit. I was assured we would be given a heat lamp. It was at least 30 minutes before that happened. I was given a shawl - and was assured I would be brought another (this only happened an hour and a half into our evening when someone finally came over to ask how we were doing). After we had been there an hour with no sign of food and were discussing leaving, a manager came over and asked how we were enjoying. (We had already asked the waiter when we might eat.) Suddenly things began to happen. One tiny plate with four tiny unappetizing looking balls came to the table - this was the amuse bouche for four people. Shortly after that the appetizers arrived. One of our party had gone to the restroom so that plate was taken back to be kept room. Although our guest was back quickly, the food was not. We had been there two hours by the time the entree arrived. The waiter (when we could find him) repeatedly lied about when our food would appear. We speculated that he was hired for the evening. Our dessert was anticlimactic and we asked for the check before it arrived, as we were tired and uncomfortable. The waiter knocked over my glass of wine when putting the bill on the table. He did credit me for it at my request. The Buche de Noel was so unappetizing looking that I took only one bite - it tasted as bad as it looked.
I was cold and uncomfortable the entire evening and frankly resent being charged inflated prices for a deflated dinner.
Went for Thanksgiving giving buffet. Good value. Great service.
This is a terrific Restaurant. Food and service were really exceptional.
We had never been to this restaurant before, but having been evacuated from our home due to the recent fires, we were staying at the hotel and had heard some good things so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed! Our server, Hana, was one of the finest servers that we have ever experienced anywhere.
She was knowledgeable, kind, sympathetic to our situation and just a really nice person, as was the sommelier, Christopher, also an expert at his craft. Oscar also stopped by to check on things and could not have been nicer.
The food was superb and all in all, it made for a wonderful evening. Although we live about 45 miles away, as soon as life returns to normal for us, we will most definitely return to this very special place that is no longer unknown to us.
This restaurant was a miss on several levels. The service from our main waiter (the server with a pony tail) was abysmal. He appeared he didn’t want to be there and every request a burden. For example, when we requested an extra chair he simply gestured towards the chair at the adjacent table indicating we should just move one ourselves. To his credit, with a feint of reluctance, he did move a chair for us at the end. He kept up this air of nonchalance when taking our order. Specifically, he tried to take the drink order by standing at one end of the table and expecting the guests to borderline shout their orders before deciding to walk over to the other side of table. He also appeared not particularly informed or in the mood to provide much insight on the menu choices.
Based on the service experience we decided to stick with drinks and about half a dozen appetizers. The food was largely underwhelming; the main star was the mac & cheese dish we got for our son. Our server continued to fall short of the mark for a fine dining restaurant. He would drop off various dishes with nary an explanation.
The service from some of the other wait staff was positive. Our main server did perk up about half way through the service and especially when dropping off the check towards the end. I tipped reasonably well as there were other servers that did make the experience more palatable.
Overall, not a repeat for us though we had high hopes considering the attached hotel. To put this in perspective, a few nights earlier we dined at Spago and the service was impeccable and the food met our fine dining expectations bar for an item or two.
Great night, superb service. Top notch restaurant but very pricey. Too be expected in Beverly Hills though. Can't say enough about the service. They were all great!
My head is still spinning trying to process how amazing our dinner was tonight. We were huge fans of Scarpetta and were devastated when it closed. We skipped Georgie because I was waiting for the reviews to get good but that never happened. It is my birthday and yesterday I was looking for a new place to go. This restaurant is only open a couple of months. The staff are all first rate and made sure we had an amazing time. The wines are pricey per glass but they let me try a couple before choosing. The price is high but the pour is very generous. The amuse bouche was a crispy rice cake topped with black garlic. Absolutely amazing. We ordered the Buratta appetizer and it was a work of art. The extreme richness of the cheese was tempered by the basalmic glaze and the acid from the pickeled vegetables and the fresh figs added decadence. Pure perfection. My wife ordered the dumplings and I ordered the Halibut. Her dumplings were cheesy comfort food and the Halibut was moist and perfectly cooked. The blistered tomatoes and Haricot Vert perfectly complimented the dish. They then brought a plate of cake pop balls and homemade peanut butter cups. Excellent. The real dessert was a real made to order Chocolate Soufflé. It was served with creme anglaise. I just blissed out while eating this. The prices are very fair for Beverly Hills and parking is easy and reasonable too. This will certainly be our new special occasion restaurant.
Fabulous!!! May be my new favorite restaurant in LA. The setting , the creative food and the attentive service make this a memorable dining experience.
The watermelon gazpacho soup and buratta cheese appetizers were great but the main courses were not up to par. The jidori chicken was incredibly dry and a Ralph’s toasted chicken would have been a better option. The lamb chops were at best average as well. Service was attentive and they did comp a glass of wine which was great since their wine list is terribly expensive.
Great food, attentive service and right in the heart of Beverly Hills. We really enjoyed our anniversary at The Restaurant. I'm sure it's quite busy most of the time, but on a Wednesday evening it was just outstanding. In a pinch, I'd recommend going mid-week if you don't have a reservation. Parking most nights is easy and flat rate $5!!!
Would recommend Georgie for any occasion. We had great food and wine. Staff was mostly helpful only as I'm a no butter no sauce type person. Unless you are familiar with people asking for other preparation options you may not appreciate that this happens sometimes. Our server might have had an unsatisfied look about them but i'm use to it, as not everyone likes creams and or butter sauces. Otherwise pretty well satisfied with our dinner.
Wonderful experience at Georgie! We thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and cocktails. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a special place for lunch or dinner.
Excellent service, everyone was very attentive, food was really tasty. Loved the place.
First time here. 7 of us for Father's Day luncheon. Cameron, our server, was fantastic. The food was plentiful and delicious. Everyone enjoyed immensely. We will definitely return!!
We were 6 for breakfast and the bill was close to $500 for some very average eggs Benedict and 3 drinks. Certainly very over priced.
On the plus side, the service was excellent and we had a lovely outside table which was very quiet - in part because the restaurant was almost empty.
Great food and great service. The patio overlooks a public space.
Halibut was the most amazing dish I have ever had!
We were there for Mother's Day. Just loved it. Food and service were outstanding!
My favorite lunch was at Georgie during my 5 day trip to Los Angeles. Simply loved it.
The carrot soup, fennel rolls and wine were the perfect meal in a lovely setting.
We went in for a girls dinner. It was super quiet on Sunday night but the service was great and the food even better. We had the lamb sausage pasta and it was excellent! Highly recommend! We will definitely be back.
We got there a little before our reservation time and we were seated quickly. The drink menu is extensive and we ordered that as soon as we sat. Our server was very good and always called us by name and was very attentive to our needs. We ordered some appetizers and they were wonderful. The burrata is great. Our main courses came and they were very good. We looked at the desserts and wanted to share the chocolate soufflé but we were told they had just sold the last one. Really we were some of the first people seated that evening. So we chose the chocolate parfait and it was okay. Everything but the dessert was great. So JZ you have a winner here
Out to eat special
the burger and Caesar was fabulous. our server Cameron was excellent. the place was basically empty... wouldn't return with so many other fabulous places in Beverly Hills. Not sure this place is going to make it.
Table was wobbly and it took two attempts with different bus boys to secure it. Service very slow and hard to get attention of our waiter after food was delivered and we wanted to order something more. Ambience is elegant and conversation-friendly.
Love going to Georgie! It's always quiet and close to my office on Canon Drive. The food was delicious and our waiter treated us like a king and queen! Very comfy, very casual, although it feels very elegant and I cannot recommend it enough. Enjoy!
Worth the time and money. Staff was superior and very engaging.
