   The food was excellent, no issues there. The service was a little "hit and miss" as the young girl serving us didn't have an understanding of the menu so couldn't explain. She also had to keep running off to check with the Chef. I also didn't realise at the time but having reviewed the final bill later in the evening that we had been charged for a three course meal when we only had the main and a desert - robbery!

   Overpriced cost us £98 for two course meal they tried to charge us £108 by saying we had 3 course meal till I pulled them up over it I originally asked for two glasses of rose table wine but waiter was insistent that we get a full bottle of rose which I unfortunately succumbed to with the result that half bottle was left on table after meal the meal itself if you weren't careful you could have inhaled in one go instead of being able to eat it my small amount of beef was so dry that it felt dehydrated and did not have any jus as for atmosphere there was only 4 couples eating there on a Saturday night at 8.15 pm and there was more life in a tramps vest certainly would not eat here again

   We had Breakfast and Evening Meals for 3 days and found the whole experience to be nothing short of excellent. The staff were absolutely superb, as was the menu. A wonderful start to our honeymoon! We'll be back!

   I had notified the restaurant in advance that it was my partners birthday and that we were in the Lake District especially so it would be nice to have a lake view table and perhaps a candle for him to blow out for his birthday. Unfortunately nothing special was conducted in respect of this, and we were given a sub standard table and service. Food however was lovely. So no complaints there.
