El Restaurante at Las Ventanas Ratings and Reviews
The hotel after renovation is awsome, the service is excellent since you arrive to the property, they welcome you in the lobby and guide you to the restaurant, they have an expert on every step of your meal, the tortillAs are handmade,
We do the taco tasting with all types of salsa this was a great experience
The atmosphere here is phenomenal - beautiful property, pool side dining with ocean view. The service was fantastic - Caesar was our server and he was personable, accommodating, and fun. All the other staff that ran food etc. were extremely professional and available to us if we wanted anything. Amazing authentic Mexican. We had 4 types of tacos and they were all outstanding. I would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to Cabo - it is not overly expensive, but also not cheap, and absolutely worth every penny.
Me encantó el trato que nos dieron, aún estando en otro hotel, nos dieron la sorpresa de la vida al final de la cena. Ya que celebrábamos nuestro aniversario y pusieron fuegos artificiales para nosotros!! Simplemente encantador. Nos quedaremos para la próxima vez hospedados.
"The Restaurant" at Las Ventanas is a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion with friends/ family or a romantic evening with your loved one. If you are not staying on property, the drive is north of Cabo San Lucas about 15-20 min from town. The property is directly on the water and offers an almost surreal feeling when you walk into the restaurant in the evening. The ambience is nothing short of magnificent with the twinkle lights in the trees and the lit lanterns along the walk. I will warn you however, the food is good - I used to give it a great but appears something in the kitchen changed from our visit a year ago. Therefore I will say the prices... well... they are not for faint of heart. Assume $150/pp without wine/drinks. Corkage fees run $50/bottle. I highly encourage you to bring your best wine for this meal and enjoy!
Dining at Las Ventanas was a special experience. This resort is breathtaking and full of refined charm. The theme of love flows effortlessly with glass heart fixtures and lit up trees. This is the perfect place to celebrate with a love. The service is great with a large staff that gives attention to your experience and goes beyond to provide extras, and even left us with a brioche to take away as a gift. We can't wait to come and stay at this beautiful resort!
In one word: overpriced. Or in two words: way overpriced - particularly the wine list. Only a few bottles on the list for less than $100. And it's one area where a apples to apples comparison is possible. In this case the price for one wine was more than twice that of the identical wine at the nearby Hilton Cabo Resort. The food was very good, particularly the tuna carpaccio and a 24-hr-marinated pork chop; overall comparable to other high-end restaurants that we tried in a week in San Jose and Cabo - but like the wine also significantly more expensive. Service was excellent and the ocean- view, live jazz and overall ambience were terrific. But there are lots of excellent restaurants in Los Cabos, many with comparable food, live music, view and ambience. The Restaurant at Las Ventanas is distinguished from the others primarily as a poor value.
Beautiful quiet poolside-pool view setting. Fine dining atmosphere. Great service. The Restaurant is the only disappointment to the resort. Three of 4 entres were cold. Fish was poor quality. Lobster was a disappointment compared to even Edith's which is not as fancy but amazing! Overall out of 4 meals and over $500 dinner for 4, no one was happy with their meal. They were apologetic and comped 2 glasses of wine and dessert. The meal would have been over $600 for 4. Returning to the resort but not dinner here.
Limited to no signs for the hotel at night from highway 1 only added to the exclusive vibration found at this fine dining establishment. The well orchestrated greeting, guided walk through the grounds, alfresco setting and fireworks in the distance added to our spectacular Christmas meal at Las Ventanas. Service was top shelf as were the drinks and final bill. We will return.
The Restaurant at Las Ventanas is definitely a must try when you are in Cabo. When you arrive at the hotel someone will greet you and take you to the restaurant where your reservation is. We dined at the Restaurant and started with shrimp enchellada which was amazing then for our entree we ordered the Taco Experience which was to die for. The staff are very attentive.
