Service was incredible. Drinks were wonderful and a totally impressive wine list. The food was good, but not as good as we recall it being 4 years ago. It is a beautiful location and the experience is memorable.

When making a reservation and being asked if there is any occasion and you check yes anniversary, you expect the reservation to notify the restaurant system and not to be asked after being seated are you celebrating an occasion or just dining. I also put if possible and available provide a nice seating arrangement, but no they put us in a corner. What’s the point of making comments if none are acknowledged. Looking over the menu night prior night prior I decided on the steak. Looking at the menu I see no steak and ask the waitress and she goes on to tell me no streak the chef didn’t like the steaks then a lady across from us attempts to order something and she was told they didn’t have the item either she wanted and to call prior to coming in lmao she paid her water and left. I was over it at that point. So I suggest calling in before dinning just in case kinda pathetic when dining at a nice restaurant..

Had a great evening at the restaurant. Would recommend going around sunset as the location is stunning! Unsure if the price matches the quality but overall we enjoyed our experience. Dessert was by far the best course!

Our service was top notch from start to finish. We had been evacuated from the fires and our condo in Lahaina and wanted/needed a good dinner at a nice place. Despite coming into the restaurant in the t-shirts we had, they treated us very politely from the beginning. My family of four had a great table with a beautiful view and the service was top notch as well. The food was great! From the caviar blini’s to the amazing Mahi Mahi, everything was great! Our server then gave us a discount after hearing our story about the fires and our condo. We were moved to tears by this simple act of kindness. I don’t know when we’ll be back to Maui, but when we come back to the island, we will definitely come back! This place is now officially on our must dine list!! Thank you for a great experience!!

This was the most amazing restaurant - everyone was so friendly, the view was spectacular (we went just after sunset and it was truly gorgeous) and the food was delicious! We had the field greens, ahi tartare, spiny lobster and Wagyu ribeye - cannot recommend this spot enough for a romantic night

Very unfriendly host. Told us our booking was cancelled. We showed them our confirmation and they still said it was our fault. They put us underneath the main level and our view was the kitchen. I wish we had a different experience here. Neeve, our waitress, was terrific.

Our waiter was amazing, so friendly and informative. The food was delicious but wasn't quite the 5 star rating I was reading about. The menu was smaller too but we all still were very happy with our meals.

Our experience at The Restaurant was 1st class all the way. We celebrated our daughter’s graduation of flight school. Everything was incredible. The oysters, lobster salad and ribeye were absolutely impeccable.

What an amazing experience. My wife and I dined here on our honeymoon and everything about it was impeccable. The atmosphere and ambience. The view. And the FOOD was to die for. All so elegant. We definitely will be coming back and staying at Hotel Wailea in the future!

Gorgeous restaurant, amazing food but most importantly, the service was outstanding. My husband and I were in Hawaii for our baby moon and this restaurant was by far our favorite. We never had to ask for anything twice, the servers were so kind and attentive, and the staff overall was wonderful.

The hotel is beautiful and the view from the restaurant is gorgeous, you can get a good view of the sunset. The menu is a 3-course prefix with several choices for each course. The main course is was plentiful and all courses were delicious! We saved this restaurant as a treat for our last night on Maui and it was worth the wait.

A surprising disappointment given ALL prior experience at Relais et Chateaux properties. Despite the chef’s training in two Michelin starred kitchens, the food was average. Despite the lovely setting, the techno music was totally out of sync and created an edgy vibe when tranquility was called for. And the waiter hawked high-end Italian reds like a carnival barker. When we balked, we could see him huddle with the sommelier who rushed over to try and make things right. He failed. Not the elegant experience we had hoped for to celebrate a birthday. BTW, the adjacent table of three couples received the same treatment from the waiter and one of the men commented, “They’re pushing Italian reds tonight”.

PERFECT. Started with drinks at Birdcage to watch the sunset. Then off to the Restaurant for an amazing meal. Cocktails were excellent. Loved the entrees with fresh fish specials. Environment was amazing for a special night out and the hotel is going to be our adult hotel of choice on our next trip. Not too crowded or loud. Just perfect.

Over the past 10 days we've had the good fortune of enjoying fine dining all across Maui - at the Four Seasons, Ritz Cartlon, the town of Lahaina, Walea, Haiku, etc. "The Restaurant" has absolutely been our favorite overall (followed closely by Lahaina Grille). The Restaurant offers creatively flavored & spiced dishes, a beautiful ambiance (in a former Japanese wellness retreat center with waterfalls), great ocean views, and the service by McKinsey was exceptional. She was smart, fun, engaging and extremely knowledgeable. Also, unlike so many of the restaurants on the island, the portion sizes from the appetizers to the mains were perfect - leaving you just enough room to enjoy dessert too (which were unique and delicious). Conversely, nearly every other dinner on the island we've been stuffed after the entree. We will absolutely come back to The Restaurant again!

Best meal I've had in 10 years. Had the 3 course meal. The desert was the weak link and it was still good. Wine list is the best on maui. This is a fantastic place don't visit it.
