One of the most beautiful hotels ever!
Unexpected excellent experience. We picked this restaurant on open table because it was close to our hotel and had food reviews. It was incredible! We loved the ambience of the hotel lobby and wanted to come back sometime. The restaurant has gorgeous views of the ocean and Molokini and they rolled the sun blocking shades up at sunset for an even more incredible view. Our service was great and our waiter answered all of our questions. Water glasses always full and great explanations of the food. The ‘snacks’ were perfect! And I cannot day enough about our food. My one son and I had the lobster which was delicious. My other son proclaimed the scallops he had the best ever and my husband’s lamb was an unbelievable combination. Desserts were also great. Such a great find!
Having traveled all over the world and eaten at some of the finest restaurants this was a truly unique experience.
Food was outstanding — best risotto ever, service very good, location great; pricey
The food tasted great- we chose scallops and salmon. Even though the food was spectacular tasting it was similar to most of the offerings in the area- nothing overly original unfortunately. It would have been nice to see something other than a mac nut crusted protein which we see on every menu in Wailea (just as an example). We were also sat next to a hive of bees so we had to ask to be moved. They were only hunny bees but it was a little startling to be talking to my spouse while bees swirl in and out of the coversation. When we asked to move we were put at a table in the back row of the restaurant with a lesser view when other tables were available with a view. It was as if we were being punished for requesting a change due to a building defect that should have been managed and repaired before the bees decided to create a home. Overall, the food tasted good but we wouldn't dine here again despite staying at the hotel.
We ordered appetizers and shared an entree, as is our M.O. Our choices included a shrimp shumai appetizer, made with green (spinach?) wrapper dough that thoroughly appealed to my dining mate; he was quite surprised at the presentation and taste. Our next orders were tomatoes with burrata, also a pleasant surprise to mate who doesn't like that cheese. And finally foie gras on toast, just enough for a few bites for each of us. Our entree was local kampachi, yellowtail, steamed over veggies. Perfect for us to share. They have a good selection of wines so we were able to choose a pinot noir from Oregon that we haven't tried before -- delicious. A macadamia nut soufflé rounded out the meal, again shared, along with after dinner drinks. They had grappa, not easy to find anywhere.
We would certainly recommend this spot to Maui visitors.
Spectacular views, outstanding service, and best culinary experience on the Island. Highly recommended. Perfect for a special occasion.
Food was fantastic and the service matched! Our server Ian was super friendly and fun and make excellent suggestions. Surroundings were beautiful as was the presentation of the dishes.
Always a great dinner and superb service.
We celebrated our anniversary and Benjamin (our server) was awesome! He really took care of us and ensured we had a memorable evening.
Service was fair. Wonderful ambiance and setting. Not good for kids.
Fantastic cuisine, light and flavorful. Our first time enjoying this restaurant and definitely will be atop our list every time we are in Maui!
Wonderful experience with impeccable service. Must visit if you’re staying at Hotel Wailea
Service and food was excellent. View of the ocean was perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to a performer in the bar after dinner - completed the evening wonderfully. Always our last dinner in Maui before returning home and it never disappoints!
Great food and service and a beautiful view!
amazing view, food was all phenomenal, wait staff was on top of everything. not the cheapest place for sure but worth it for the quality
We had an excellent date night dinner here. The food was great and the service was good as well. The view is wonderful. Overall a great experience.
After much research and reading many reviews, we Selected 8 restaurants for our 8 night stay in Maui. This spot was our second favorite. Extremely romantic, superb service. A very elegant setting. You will not be disappointed!!
We had a wonderful, memorable dinner here. Service was over the top and food excellent! The view outstanding! One of the best meals we have had in a long, long time. Would recommend it to anyone!!!
Great food and loved the venue.
Amazing! I have been a chef for over fifteen years and have eaten all over the world. The range of flavors and creativity from the chefs here are phenomenal! The dishes were light and refreshing so even after many plates I still felt great! Beautiful plating and quality local ingredients-classic technique with local flavor twists. The standouts to my wife and I were the Hamachi tataki, foie gras with pistachio, and the duck breast. The opening “snacks” and the pavlova were excellent as well! The service was kind and the sunset from the lanai was beautiful! Mahalos!
Beautiful and romantic dinner with my husband. Started with caviar and champagne, then parmesan risotto, then the lamb with a fantastic red blend from Napa. Our service was excellent. Loved the ambiance.
Best meal we ever had with most amazing sunset view. Final bill for 2 people was $400 and worth every penny...
Best dinner I’ve ever had! Beautiful sunset view.
Everything was exceptional. We came here after hearing someone’s recommendation....and I’m so glad we did. It was a perfect way to cap off our Maui trip. Phenomenal food, cocktails, service and views! We’ll be back someday...
Great for an adult dinner in Hawaii! Would recommend and dress up nice and fancy :)
Would go for a few drinks and the view but the food was lacking. Actually left before dessert or finishing the Colorado lamp chop(it was bland and over cooked).
Treated ourselves to a nice dinner before loads of company came.
Fantastic meal! Date night for us and loved every dish. Unique flavors and romantic ambiance. Hats off to chef!
Elevated food preparation. Everything was delicious!
Food was very good although the portions was a little small. Overall very good experience and would return. Wine list, especially by the glass was priced pretty high. Your lowest priced glass was $17.00 for a bottle of wine that retails for under $50/bottle.
This restaurant is a must go to when we are on Maui
There is no better view on the island of Wailea bay and spectacular sunsets
The food is always spectacular
This time we both had the steamed Opakapaka and added some puréed potatoes
Started with the baby kale Caesar with charred green grapes
Happy to see that was still on the menu
Finished it all of with the molten lava desert
Exceptional service from Sole and the Ben's
I have travelled around the globe and this restaurant is at the top of my list
Can't wait to visit again in 2020
Table was dirty and we waited a long time for service but the food made up for anything negative.
Exceptional all around!
Everything about this restaurant is perfection! The food, the service and the view are unbeatable. I highly recommend the wagyu short rib and king crab spaghetti.
Wish they would ban long FaceTime conversations in the restaurant.
It was a wonderful meal! The view was magnificent!!
The restaurant is in a nice, quiet and secluded resort that was recently rebuilt for adults only. As I never have high expectations from a restaurant in a hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. You drive up to the gates of the resort, it magically opens revealing lush landscape grounds with an elegant building. The restaurant is in one wing, while the lobby is on the other. Definitely go early to walk and enjoy the grounds before your reservation.
To begin, the restaurant overlooks most of Wailea, so our plan for a sunset dinner was perfect and truly enhanced our experience. As you peruse the wine menu, it will give you a sense of flavors to come on the dinner menu. The wine list is extensive with great variety and elusive wines. The dinner menu was no less of variety of choices to please most palates. Our waiters recommended that we try the Ahi tuna starter, its ordered per piece, we're glad that we had ordered 2 per person. That was just enough to taste but not to spoil what's to come of dinner. The scallops and hamachi was what we ordered next and both were done to perfection with tenderness and flavor. Maybe next time we'll try the Wagyu short rib. The souffle for dessert was out of this world.
The cuisine was amazing and the staff, was so attentive and courteous. Never once were our water glasses empty. We will definitely make this a regular every time we come on island.
It was fabulous in all respects. I treat guests and myself to dinner there frequently. Their Restaurant Manager goes above and beyond what is expected.
Always a beautiful experience.
