Ian made our evening memorable and the food was delightful!
Risotto as good as ever. Market catch-fish delicious, not as heavy as other big meals here in Wailea resort restaurants...so room for the great staters.
Amazing food, views and service
It was our first time dining at the restaurant. It was a wonderful experience for us. We used to live in Maui and our favorite restaurant then was Le Gunji, which was part of the original Diamond Resort, now Hotel Wailea. Glad to say this restaurant has now become our favorite and we will continue to return to it whenever on Maui. Returning to Maui often, we have found a decline in the quality and service in most of the restaurant, so its refreshing to find this little gem.

Delicious meal! Chris and Dylan provided ex Ellen ser ice! Highly re ommend!
Booked three months ahead for romantic Babymoon/Anniversary dinner and then got stuck in terrible traffic. I called and they said it was fine, but then they didn't save us a good table with the romantic view which was the whole point of booking this special atmosphere for our Anniversary. The attitude of the Matire D was very blazè and didn't help matters. As an anniversary treat they brought us two glasses of prosecco- which would be a nice gesture if they weren't ignoring half of the info of the booking (pregnant, can't drink). Menu was disappointing as only one protein of all the main courses was locally sourced. (The Local Fish of the day). All their "favorite" entrees such as the scallops or crab spaghetti was using fish from way away places. "alaska, maine, etc". I liked my mocktail in a fancy tiki glass, but none of the food really blew me away. True, I was not in the best of spirits because of missing the sunset and the good table, but great food would have cheered me up and it just wasn't great. I didn't finish my crab pasta and I wasn't super impressed with husband's local fish or their "famous" truffle risotto. The molten cake with banana ice cream was my favorite element other than the "bites" which were like amuse bouches that aren't complimentary. It was the most expensive meal of our weeklong trip but one of the least delicious. Overall, I picked the wrong restaurant for the occasion. Luckily we had great meals elsewhere with better service, just not on our literal anniversary. I would pick a different restaurant for your special meal.
Beautiful sunset and delicious food. Everything was amazing!!
Beautiful restaurant with ocean and sunset views. One of our most delicious meals in Maui. Expensive but service and food quality make it worth the price. Tomato and burrata appetizer and Wagyu and lobster entrees were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
Amazing atmosphere, dinner and service!
Yummy; gourmet meal. Great idea for a special occasion.
Very special experience! Loved our romantic dinner!
One of the best restaurants in WAILEA. We enjoyed the salmon and diver scallops. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff superb. This restaurant should be on your vacation list.
The Restaurant is not to be missed. The service is warm and attentive, but not overbearing or intrusive. The food is spectacular. We started with the mini tuna crackers. Essentially tuna tartare on black rice crips. The tuna was fresh and the flavor light and delicious. Then we shared the hamachi crude and gazpacho with lobster. Both stellar. The gazpacho was fresh, light, slightly tangy and delicious. The hamachi was four generous slices with the most delicious sauce. My husband and I both got the fish special - a white fish that had been steeped in a broth with so many delicious flavors - think Thai flavors. We also got a side of the roasted carrots with chimmichurri and the roasted cauliflower. Both were so spectacular!! We had been here when it was Capische, and then soon after it changed to The Restaurant. There was definitely a hiccup for a few months after it changed, but that is NO longer the case!! This may be my new favorite place in Maui!! Truly a memorable and delicious experience!!
Excellent! The food and service was superb. Highly recommend this place!
What an amazing meal and experience. We arrived to a beautiful setting. So well designed. We were early and ordered at the bar. The Bartender was warm and friendly and made suggestions. I overheard him tell the lady at my right he could make her anything if she had any idea of what was in a drink she had elsewhere.
We came to Maui to celebrate my husband's birthday. I had reservations at a different location and had to move them to another night so we spent the actual date at The Restaurant.
My husband ordered Truffle Risotto. I ordered Burrata and Tomato Salad. The risotto was the best we've ever tasted. The salad amazing with a variety tomatoes and the creamiest Burrata ever. The herbs gave it the perfect accompaniment. For our main courses we had duck and scallops. Perfect food. Well prepared. I think they are very creative and deserve at least a Michelin star or two
Kristin and Ian were outstanding. We had a fabulous meal and a beautiful setting.
Great food, service, and ambiance.
This has to be the BEST restaurant in Maui!
A lot of a restaurant experience is contextual and we had a terrific table on the edge the balcony and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset. The food and service were also terrific. The food is geared more toward foodies. The preparations are unique and the portions are not huge. But we enjoyed the opportunity to taste a variety of different delicious appetizers and entrees without feeling stuffed.
We celebrated our anniversary dinner here and it was perfect. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the staff was so friendly and prompt, and the food was beyond amazing. It was a special spot for our celebration.
One of the best restaurant experiences we had while visiting Maui! My partner and I went for our anniversary, and everything—food, service, atmosphere—was exquisite. You really can't beat the view of the sunset, either, which makes this an ideal place for a special occasion.
One of the BEST on the island ! Breathtaking views and spectacular food. Scallops were amazing
Amazing service and cuisine.
Beautiful place to watch the Wailea, Maui sunset. Excellent service (top to bottom) and amazing food. Ate there three times during our stay and enjoyed the entire menu.
The ambience was beautiful and peaceful. Sweeping views of the ocean and sunset. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend.
From the moment we sat down and were greeted with champagne to celebrate our anniversary it was a great experience. The service was great, food was divine and the sunset views were unbeatable.
Definitely recommend - especially for something special!
From the moment we arrived to when we left, everything was absolutely perfect. Friendly and professional valets and hosts. Chad at the bar was amazing and reccomended the perfect bottle of wine for our dinner. Benjamin and Lily were on point and executed an amazing dining experience. One of the best dinners of my life.
Stunning views, great ambiance, excellent food, good (not excellent) drinks. Torched Ahi is a must try. Worth the drive.
Amazing food and ambience
Food and experience was top notch!
Very nice experience. It was enjoyable.
View and ambience were very romantic. However we were disappointed in the food. My crab spaghetti had little flavor and hardly any crab but very expensive.
Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Great Bartender, OUTSTANDING Chef. A must do!
Came for 10 yr anniversary dinner. View of sunset over Lana'i was amazing, server recommendations and overall service were terrific, and ambiance was perfect. Highly recommend for a special romantic occasion.
Excellent food and solid service. Try to grab a sunset reservation for the great views.
Best meal we had in Hawaii. The view....incredible
The restaurant is extremely intimate and quiet. I was so incredibly relaxed and I thoroughly enjoyed the view. I loved my scallops, unfortunately my husband seriously disliked the fresh fish dish. It had an ingredient in it that gave it a fishy smell that he just couldn’t get past. He did verbalize his dissatisfaction, but it fell on deaf ears. So while I loved it, unfortunately I know I’ll never be able to convince my husband to give it another try.
Overall the restaurant was fine and the ambience was lovely
However both the hostess and waitress were inexperienced for this caliber of restaurant
The request for a nice table due to a special anniversary was either not sent by Open Table and/or not acknowledged at restaurant
The waiter asked if this was any sort of occasion
There may not have been any advantage to use Open Table with such a request.
Perhaps it is better just to call the restaurant directly.
