The Reservoir Inn is a warm friendly pub serving delicious food in the charming village of Thornton, on the edge of the National Forest, and just a stone"s throw from the circular reservoir walk around the beautiful Thornton Reservoir.
Owners Alan Morgan and Steve Bazeley will always make sure a warm welcome awaits with truly hearty menus for refuelling pre/post reservoir walk, an excellent selection of beverages and a friendly welcoming team.
Originally The Bulls Head and also The Tipsy Fisherman, The Reservoir Inn has been re-branded in line with its ongoing support of Thornton Reservoir and many linked activities.

Meeting up for a girly night, lovely food. It was really good to be able to hear what they were saying! been in plenty of places but cannot hear yourself think. Will defiantly be back. ,

This is the third time we have been to the Reservoir and this visit wasn't as good as the previous times we have been. It felt like they were under staffed and it felt a bit rushed. Our table was not very clean and when they cleared our plates they left food dropped on the table from clearing the plates. Took a while to get the bill as the staff were rushing around and it was difficult to catch their eye.

This is a large bar/restaurant which has a friendly atmosphere and good food. The furnishings look clean and are comfortable, decor is contemporary but it looks like it needs decorating threw out and definitely needs new floor coverings to make it feel cosy and inviting.

Went to meet friends for a catch up. We all ordered from the pie and wine night menu. Pies absolutely spot on, tasted delicious and very well presented. Service also very good staff really helpful. Would definitely recommend. Well done and thank you to all the staff involved.
