The Reserve Steak House

My wife and I were camping on Jekyll and were kid free. Highly recommend The Reserve and give it the BEST review.

Server did everything he could but kitchen delayed him. I have had a better steak at chain restaurants and for $50 expected better. Calamari was overly breaded. Disappointing experience when dining at a Westin Resort.

We throughly enjoyed the Reserve, our experience would have been slightly better if not for the pandemic. We did feel though that they took great care to be safe and to have a delightful dining experience.

I love Westin hotels and usually have had a good dining experience however on this particular evening our waiter was not very attentive he was very busy talking to his coworkers which gave us an outcome of poor service. He brought our food before he brought our silverware and did not check back on us regularly to see if we needed anything. My steak was burnt on the outside and my boyfriends fish was very dry. We wereVery disappointed as we were expecting a five-star experience.

Waiter Mr. Wilson from Jaimaca was stellar. Best high end restaurant in Jekyll and may be only one.

Celebrating a milestone birthday with an evening dinner outside on the patio. We both had the surf and turf. On the pricey side but an Excellent meal. The service was outstanding.

Restaurant was above average to nice. However, I made reservations two weeks prior to our arrival requesting a window table and was told non were available when we arrived due to a request made the day before. ???? We then sat next to two window tables that remained empty for our entire stay. Frustrating! Last minute requests should not over ride reservation request made weeks in advance. I'll consider this prior to making future reservations.

Great evening with great service and food. Being locals in St Simons The Reserved was suggested by friends. A huge compliment here. Food was fantastic, the scallops with bacon jam off the hook fresh. My t-bone was cooked perfect,

Everything about The Reserve was amazing!!!! My daughter loved her 13th birthday so much!

We live locally and dined here for our first time this past Saturday (and the first amongst our group of friends). Our server was very sweet- she was attentive and provided great "silent service" to ensure we were enjoying ourselves (visibly present at our table but not necessarily interruptive sine it was "date night"). There was a one drawback to our dinner but we feel that was rectified within the dining experience. I will add that someone needs to revisit their recipe for béarnaise sauce- I was scared to actually taste it due to it not looking anything like béarnaise (color, consistency, etc.) but the herb butter on top of my steak was outstanding.
Definitely try the Peanut Butter Pie!

Valentines Day

Been traveling for over 40 years and this was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. It was noisy, over priced, substandard service, undercooked seafood and the mediocre food.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Great service, and my companion’s salmon was very good. However, my pork chop, which was supposed to be a house specialty, was incredibly dry. It was a great piece of pork, but really should have been marinated or cooked slower. Or better yet, both. The sweet potato casserole that came with it was superb, the best part of the meal!

Great ambiance but lack luster food. Both of our steaks were undercooked. We would’ve ordered a second drink but our server was not attentive so we didn’t have the chance. We had heard great reviews of this place but it was probably the worst steak I’ve ever had.

Always a favorite for special occasions. Staff is accommodating and attentive.

We were visiting Jekyll island to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and choose The reserve for dinner. It was a great choice! All of the food was wonderful and they gave us dessert on the house in honor of our celebration. Amazing ocean views and wonderful tables and low lighting. We will be back!!

Most of our group had seafood, one beef filet, but all enjoyed their meal very much.

Very nice. Our food was perfect and we had a nice table in a quiet area which was requested. We will come back next time we visit the area.

Anniversary

Went for an anniversary dinner. The beer cheese soup was excellent...it had a little bit of a kick to it and the popcorn on top was an interesting touch. My husband had the 22oz tbone which was cooked to perfection. I had the prime rib which was on special and it was delicious. The spice seasoning used on it was excellent and it was cooked perfectly. It came with loaded mashed potatoes which were also very good, and they gave you a huge amount...we could have both shared the steak and potatoes and been full. It is on the expensive side but it is a steakhouse so that’s not surprising.

All three steaks came out perfectly. We ordered medium, medium-well, and a medium-rare and they were amazing. Service was great. Could have had music turned up a little more. It's kind of awkward when it's not busy and so quiet in the restaurant
