   Had to wait a long time for our main courses. Got lots of apologies. Pretty chintzy restaurant with a refurb on the cheap. Strange hotel with public spaces that make no sense Not many covers but all disorganised. Funny the restaurant manager finally delivered the main courses wearing white gloves when everything seemed chaotic and disorganised and food so so.

   Visited as never been to Henley. The food was lovely we arrived at 3.15 for a table for 4.15 we got talking to people in the bar and the staff couldn’t do enough for us and put our table back to 6pm. The staff are brilliant and really looked after us. Food wine couldn’t fault. Would if ever visited Henley again would stay there too. A lovely little find. Have already recommended.

   We had the spring menu at lunchtime on Friday which is three courses for £30. The food was outstanding, especially for the price. The service could not have been any better. The team were incredibly friendly, and the right level of attentive. We were there with our four week old newborn and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended.

   We celebrated a friend’s 80th birthday at the Relais on a Friday lunchtime in March. The restaurant was smart and comfortable and very suitable for a special meal. The service was outstanding, professional but also friendly and our friend’s birthday was marked with a candle with the dessert as well as special chocolates with our coffee. The food was well presented and tasty and we will certainly go back.

   Another Superb meal at the Relais in Henley!! The staff are absolutely fantastic, I’ve never had such fantastic service in the UK They make you feel special but it is all very genuine! The food is sublime and such good value! This is my new regular for dinner and or afternoon tea.

    We had a really super meal on Saturday evening celebrating my brother’s 70 th birthday. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and all in all we had a very pleasant evening in really gorgeous surroundings. I would highly recommend The Clipper restaurant.

    We had the set menu for lunch which was excellent. There were four adults of varying ages and we were all pleased with our selections. There was plenty of choice and the portions were generous and beautifully cooked and presented. The restaurant was relaxed, and the staff lovely and friendly, and also very efficient. This was despite the fact that there was a group at a table nearby that had booked, arrived late, and then proceeded to show up in stages which meant they were over an hour late by the time they were all ready to order. The staff continued to be attentive and efficient to that table as well as other tables, so huge respect to the restaurant and kitchen staff.

    Trip to celebrate a birthday. Menu was a bit random for a brunch but a variety for tastes. Some of the dishes weren’t great for example the granola, yogurt and berries was ALL granola, a teaspoon of yogurt and berries so very dry and far too sweet. It was Boxing Day so appreciate that it was quiet. Nice decor but all a bit weird. Won’t go back.

    We went here for Christmas lunch. We were welcomed warmly by the restaurant staff and service was excellent. Good choice of food and it was very good. We ended up staying the whole day as we went through to the very comfortable lounge area and remained there with drinks and nibbles being very looked after by the staff. We definitely recommend but it is a bit pricy but in my opinion worth it.

    The staff were welcoming and helpful. We felt relaxed and enjoyed the ambiance in the bar and dining room. The renovations to the hotel have created a very comfortable, but interesting environment. We all enjoyed our meals and they were good value.

    We had a really enjoyable stay. Our rooms were perfect, extremely keen and well presented. The staff were very professional and the atmosphere was relaxed but professional. We loved the informality of the set up which allowed us to take evening snacks and wine in the lounge and to watch the boat parade.

    Appalling. Waited 40min for drinks to be served and over an hour for food to arrive only to have it served Luke warm. Very, very expensive. Would not recommend.

    Lovely place. Our third visit but a bit disappointing as I was given the wrong main course. I ordered a Cobb salad and was given a Caesar salad. I queried it and the waiter apologised saying he had pressed the wrong button in the kitchen ………

    We went for Sunday lunch - roast beef cooked to perfection, accompanying vegetables were great too. Dessert was excellent. We had tea and coffee in the beautiful lounge. The whole place has been redeveloped beautifully and tastefully. A real asset to Henley and just what they needed to attract tourists to this Thames side town. Our only very small criticism was the air conditioning as if felt quite chilly however we will mos certainly will be returning. Just excellent thank you
