The Regional Kitchen & Public House
Dinner 5:00 pm
Although the location of The Regional Kitchen and Public House was very convenient to the Kravitz center, the decor was very warm and cozy and the service was very attentive in making sure our meal was served promptly, the variety on the menu (limited non fish items) was deemed lacking and the quality of the dishes was sub par. The fish did not taste fresh and the patty melt was served soaked in excessive grease. A better menu selection and preparation would greatly elevate this restaurant.
Excellent presentation of wonderful food. Service was fantastic.
The Pimento cheese made table side was great. They offer crab as an addition which we had on the side do to an allergy at the table. I don’t think it needs the crab. We also had the fried chicken thighs which were awesome. Ask for extra pickles. They were made in house and added a nice touch to the chicken. The breading was very crispy and flavorful and the thought meat was very moist and delicious. I had the short ribs which were excellent. I think my favorite part of the dish was the charred greens. Wish I had more of them. The meat was tender and delicious.
Excellent and fresh food.
We were seated promptly with a reservation at 6:30 on a Wednesday. Valet was excellent upon arrival. The menu was a little confusing at first, and the prices seemed reasonable for the location and atmosphere. The food was delivered within 15 mins from placing the order which I thought was a little slow seeing we didn't order appetizers. The menu had vegan options but did not have any vegan dessert items. The wine list and stocked bar was inviting
We were 6 women who had lunch after a Kravis performance. The venue was across the street from Kravis, which was an added bonus. We sat in the coverred patio, which wasn't as charming as the interior, but it was quiet and fun. The menu was absolutely fabulous:ecclectic and original. We each picked a different version of the "meat and 3 sides" which were all fabulous. All of us picked the"crispy brussel sprouts," which were not very crispy, but were delicious as one of the sides. I also chose devilled eggs and tabboule as the other sides. They were both excellent. The meat I chose was a fried chicken breast. It was good and crispy but not as good as the sides. Others who ordered salmon and a wahoo fish special were much happier with their "meat" choices. In all events at $16-18, the prices were definitely reasonable. The service was quick and efficient. Nobody bothered us even though we lingered after closing time. Two off us split a desert of a "covered" pie and one of us had an ice cream concoction. Both were very good.
In short we all enjoyed our experience and I am looking forward to going back. Definitely recommended.
This is my favorite restaurant in WPB. I love Low Country style food and it is fabulous here.
The service is always excellent, the ambiance as well.
Can’t say enough about the overall experience.
My favorite dishes are the chicken thighs and the tomato pie, though everything else has been delicious.
Best chicken soup, ever! I loved the flavors in the soup, especially the lemon.
I was amazed at the flavor when I took a bite of the celery!
Consistently very good. Very attentive service. Unique food pairings and sides. A must try!
Always reliable and top drawer. And we love the included valet parking.
First time here. Restaurant was virtually empty and we were seated at a booth that overlooked the staff door to the kitchen with a server computer where staff congregated behind us. Felt like we were in a hallway. Service wasn’t as good or friendly as Chick Fil A and for the price tag food was just average. Definitely won’t go back - not even for the Parker House rolls which was the best thing about it.
The service was impeccable!!!
We were very disappointed with the Thanksgiving buffet (which had come highly recommended). Upon arrival, the valet scene was total chaos. We were seated for our 7:00 reservation around 7:25. The appetizer bar initially had no salad, shrimp, chicken wings or tomato pies, but the first three eventually were re-filled. For the main course, we only got dry turkey breast . . . but not the other two types of turkey or any prime rib. Really? The rest of the year, we usually enjoy The Regional . . . but never again for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving meal. The restaurant was very busy. There was a set menu with an appetizer buffet. We arrived about 2 hours before the end of service and the restaurant was out of some selections. Our server was excellent. The building is very nice. In my opinion the selection of food ranged from fair to very good. Overall a good experience.
My family and I had a great dining out experience for thanksgiving dinner. Lovely buffet appetizers and desserts with family style traditional turkey dinner served to table. Servers were friendly and helpful.
We were there for Thanksgiving so could not order off the menu which we were not told when we made the reservation. They had a very good buffet with seafoods and short ribs and many delicious sides and starters and the turkey was excellent but my daughter is Vegan and there were not a lot of options for her. The ambiance of the restaurant was interesting and nice and their wine, beer and drinks menu was extensive. I would like to go back and try the menu and then I will know whether to recommend it to friends.
Quality of the turkey fell way short of expectation. Buffet chinzy. After all done, waited 45 mins for Valet (along with everyone else). Incompetent preparation. Ya ya ya ya - it was busy, i know ... but guess what, i can't do their job for them, Regional knew what to expect if nothing else from the reservation list. Net net is a "2" on a 1-5 scale, that's being a tad generous.
Somewhat disappointed with the Thanksgiving special, especially for the price. The pre-entre buffet was not well maintained; a couple of chafing pans practically empty, others with the spoons now immersed in the sauce. (Fried chicken as good as always, though!) Entree servings were plentiful, prime rib tender and tasty, turkey, however, must have been brined--was much too salty. Server was attentive, although we had to flag staff members down for refills on water. Restaurant was busy, but not overwhelmed. Will look elsewhere for special days. Add two glasses of wine to the picture below and you are looking at $210 with tax and tip.
50th birthday/Thanksgiving. Food & service were excellent . Only negative was that server asked my husband what she should bring with a candle in it as a surprise, and we were charged for the dessert (we assumed it would be complimentary). With paying $140 for dinner for 2 plus wine, we feel it could have been comped. Otherwise, great spot & nice vibe.
Food was delicious. Only thing that could have been better, was our seating. I made reservations well in advance and my husband and I were sat in the “family room” with a few large groups of families with kids. We felt out of place and awkward. We were the only couple in there. Not my ideal place to sit on a date night while trying to escape our own kids...
Excellent restaurant. Professionally run. Creative cooking. Fair prices. Service is fine. Especially ideal for dinner before Kravis -- their specialty!
Fun ambiance, great food-you could tell it was freshly made. huge wine selection. overall fun place for date night or girls night out
3rd time back. Enjoyed our meal. Not a fan of the octopus but the tomato pie and shrimp toast were delicious. Cocktail was tasty. Then order a glass of wine by type, Cabernet. Got the bill, It was $28 a glass! Way too much!
DELICIOUS food. Slightly more expensive than it should be, but the tomato pie, Parker House rolls, and fresh fish are all magnificent. Very nice and solicitous staff...
Consistently excellent. Don't miss the roasted tomato pie. This is our go-to place when attending a show at the Kravis Center. The noise level is fine, esp. if you get a booth in the main room.
The music was a bit loud but good music, great food, superb service and very nice ambience. We will definitely return.
Went to The Regional for pre-theatre dinner. Made reservation for 6:30, wanted to be out by 7:40 and we told out waiter this. He was OK with it. Apparently quite a few of the patrons were doing the same thing. Place was very busy for 6:25 when we were seated. We rejected a table for two along the banquet. Way too close for comfort, and were given a table for four. Much better.
Service started out slow, but once we got into appetizers and our main courses, the pace was good. Food was very good, particularly the Shrimp toast appetizer. Very nice presentation and sauce was to die for !
Fish entrees, Cobia and crispy trout were also delectable. Decent wine list although not too many selections in wines costing less than $60.00/bottle.
Terrific service, great food!
Wonderful food and service from Alexander. Everything he say was delicious, was and we never waited long for anything. A great experience. Try the Shrimp toast and octopus. I'm still craving the brussel sprouts.
We had a time restriction that our server managed perfectly - our delicious dinner was served quickly so we had plenty of time to enjoy it. Wait staff was excellent. Love the decor too!
Food was very good. Presentation was nice. Service was a bit slow.
Great service, wonderful food. What else do you need?
Excellent dinner. The service was great, the ambiance was nice with the decor understated & interesting. I had the country sausage cassoulet. I am picky about greens & their flavor was exceptional. The broccoli cheese was great. My meal was filling & still healthy & low carb which is important to me. My friend had the tomato soup & friend green tomatoes which she described as yummy. The staff got us out in plenty of time & with their great location we were able to walk to the Kravis center.
Interesting menu, great location for all things West Palm Beach. especially good for parking while at the Kravis
We had Alexander as our server and he was so amazing and very attentive to the details. We had many managers visit our table asking how our evening was going. Highly recommend this place food was absolutely incredible.
Brunch before 2:00 matinee at the Kravis Center. Food was delicious, service a little slower than a previous visit but will definitely return again soon.
I absolutely love Regional!!!! The decor and vibe of the place is spot on. The service friendly, like you are home for a meal, and the food outstanding! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Service: completely lacking. Terribly slow. Had to flag down waitress to take our order, get drink refills, get check... Thought 2 hours would be sufficient but we ended up being late to our show at the Kravis center, even after advising the waitress at the beginning we were catching a show in 2 hours! Not acceptable.
We had a great server and a great meal. Only problem was that we were three adult women on a girls trip out to get away from our family obligations and we got seated in the back between two tables with kids. One family had a toddler that cried and screamed during the first half of our meal. It’s a beautiful restaurant, but I regret that I didn’t request to be moved to another area.
Amazing tapas. Everything was deliscious. The tomatoes pie and the rolls and key lime shrimp we're out of this world
