It was a lovely meal and evening. Rack of lamb was delicious as well as the Halibut. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy.
Excellent experience. Great food and the Pimento Cheese made table side was a great starter. Very convenient valet parking. We will definitely be back.
Limited menu with fanciful ingredients in small portions with a charge for bread and very poor service--frenetic music blasting--the only good feature were desserts which were exceptional and open decor with large well furnished bar area---good place for young people to impress a date but otherwise not worth recommending.
Excellent pre-theater spot if you're going to the Kravits Center. Creative food menu and very pleasant atmosphere.
Love this restaurant. The menu is creative and the food is consistently well-prepared. My only complaint after many visits is that we were seated on our most recent visit in an area in which the tables are so close together that it is impossible to be seated without first pulling the table out. Not surprisingly, as a result you can hear every word spoken at the adjoining tables. We were fortunate that the diners on both sides of our table were friendly.
Food great. Love the chicken co is and veal. Food consistently great
Food and service were outstanding. I had been here on a previous occasion pre-theatre, they made sure we were served quickly.
I really enjoyed my meal @ The Regional. Great food and craft cocktails; really good service. Loved the decor. Light, bright and airy with sweet southern touches.
I was disappointed with my first visit to The Regional. Our server was not personable and we felt like we were being rushed to order when we wanted to enjoy a leisurely dinner (this was a Tuesday evening, by the way, so not a super busy weekend night).
We started with the pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes. Both were lacking in flavor. The crackers served with the pimento cheese were too salty. The fried green tomatoes had a nice texture, but there was not very much going on flavor-wise. The best part of the fried green tomatoes dish was the simple salad severed alongside it. We also ordered the Parker House Rolls with everything butter and that was the best thing we had all evening.
My husband chose the Cobia dish as his entree. While edible, the dish lacked texture (everything was just kind of mushed together) and flavor. I ordered the boneless half chicken for my entree and was quite disappointed. The chicken was not seasoned well and the skin was not at all crispy. The "lemony orzo risotto" the chicken was served upon was overcooked and the orzo was clumped together. Again, that portion of the dish lacked flavor. The dish was topped with feta cheese and capers (no mention of capers on the menu). The capers were totally overwhelming and I would not have ordered the dish if I knew it came with capers.
Overall, both my husband and I were disappointed with our entire experience, from service to food. We will not be returning.
Was excited to try this restaurant after reading good reviews. Unfortunately, all at our table were not impressed with the food quality, taste or presentation. There were two items on the menu that were tasty and I might order again, but I don't think any of us will be going again since most of the food was only fair. Service and decor were great though.
Although service was very slow and pastas lukewarm (although plates were hot) upon arrival, the salads, especially the vegetable chopped salad was fabulous and will bring me back.
Hmmm....wanted to love this restaurant but just feel something was lacking as far as a flavor profile. Our food was "good", not special. I had fried green tomatoes and they were so unripe, I could hardly cut them with a knife. The pork milanese, the meat was tender and succulent, but the whole dish seemed to lack taste. The short rib was good; my husband loved the creamed corn it was served over. He also like the tomato soup but the portion was very small. Desserts were also good. Noise was incredible until most folks left for Kravis show.
We enjoyed everything about this restaurant. I was thrilled that the restaurant fulfilled my request through open table regarding seating.
First time and WILL return. Great bar good drinks excellent food. Quality all around.
The kravis center
I have had very good experiences there before. This lunch was a disaster. The food was heavily salted and our server was nowhere to be found during the meal.
Regional Kitchen and Public House has a unique menu offering with some low country influences. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. The wine list was extensive, the service was impeccable, and the energetic vibe only added to the good time we had.
Jody was our our waitress. Service was excellent, food was outstanding. Will definitely return!
We were pleasantly surprised by our visit. The service, from host/hostess to waiter to bus people, everyone was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. The menu was quite unique, and the food we ordered was extraordinary. We used to go to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse before going to Kravis. From now on, Regional will be our go to restaurant pre-theater. Of course, we would not hesitate to return for any other occasion. The decor is smart, and although the restaurant tends to be a little noisy, we were still able to hear each other. If you want a truly outstanding dining experience, make your way to the Regional Kitchen when in West Palm Beach. You will not be disappointed.
First time here and LOVED it! Will be our go-to pre-theatre destination!
As always, The Regional was terrific. We go there pre-theatre. Always have a wonderful meal. One of our favorite restaurants.
The Regional completely lived up to my expectations. Our server was personable, accommodating and had some great recommendations about the menu. We all really enjoyed our choices and the ambience was great. Really unique and well thought out decor and menu. Great first visit!
Service was very good BUT food was TERRIBLE!
Asked for the snapper
Excellent food and service.
We will go back.
Been there a few times already.
Just a wonderful evening as always.
Everything was fine
Beautiful restaurant - no detail overlooked. Loved the multi colored water glasses, the china, the paintings, the hay bale benches, loved everything about the ambiance and decor. The service was OUTSTANDING,. The food was okay, the oyster crackers at the beginning of the meal super tasty! The chicken thighs also, great choice. The entrees fell short in my opinion. But I would definitely return.!
This is my first negative review on open table. I try to find the positive in everything but this restraunt really made it difficult. I’ll start with the positives. The hostess area is very welcoming. The table side made pimento cheese is a unique touch and was enjoyable. Now the review! Our seating request was overlooked and challenged, despite several open tables and booths. Our reservation was at 7:45 and we were served our main course at 9:20. 2 people, appetizer and entree ordered at seating with bottle of wine. General manager came to our table at 9 to let us know the kitchen was working on it. No apologies. Food arrived. Not worth the wait at all. Server thanked us for our patience. Very disappointed.
Although I have been favorably impressed by the food here on several occasions, I was very disappointed with the two dishes I had on Saturday, April 7.
My first couirse was the caesar sald, which I had chopped for easier eating. The very generous serving of romaine was fresh and appealing, but the dressing was entirely without flavor, even after I requested additional dressing. It was nothing like a traditional, flavorful, caesar dressing. Even the three little white anchovy fillets added negligible flavor. This was one of the poorest examples of a caesar salad I can recall.
My second course, which I have ordered several times in the past, and always enjoyed was the Country Style sausage and field pea cassoulet. In the past it always contained a bountiful amount of the field peas, along with a smattering of greens, along with a fairly large sausage link. It was the field peas which in the past had given the dish its character and delicius taste. On this occasion, however, there were very few peas in the dish, which was comprised primarily of boiled greens, possibly turnip greens. The broth ("potlikker" on the menu) was watery and bitter- like turnip green water- rather than a slightly thickened, succulent pea broth. The sausage, while large, was rather flavorless.
I do not want to say that I will never return. I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, and will probably give it another chance some time in the future. I only hope that Chef Autry actually tastes some of the dishes she is serving, so their shortcomings can be addressed. Particularly the so-called Caesar salad dressing!
Good food in a nice dining room. We enjoyed it. The back room is quieter.
Tables are tight. Free valet parking in that area is clutch. Food quality was superb. We want to go back and sit on the patio.
WE took a group of 6 to Regional Kitchen for dinner before the ballet. The locations was perfection, the food delicious and the waiter was great at guiding us through the unusual menu.
We were seated in a box without a view of the main dining room. Service was quick and noise level moderate. Many guests were on their way to Kravis Center for a ballet event, so service was accordingly. The food was nice, the server forget some stuff, but we got some sweets for dessert.
All in all, nice and convenient according to schedule!
We arrived early and had cocktails in the bar. The only negative of the evening was the temperature in the bar was cold and they had several fans on - when we mentioned it when we were seated for dinner they said they would have adjusted it.
We had the pimento cheese with jalapeños and crab prepared at the table and it was delicious. We also had the tomato pie and shrimp ceviche which we all recommend.
For dinner we had the Cobia and it was the best preparation any of us ever had!
Believe it or not we shared some deserts - had pies and a key lime desert which topped off a wonderful evening! I recommend this restaurant highly.
Great food and ambiance
innovative lunch menu with delicious choices
The food was good however I was a bit surprised that ice tea / soda / lemonade coffee wasn't included in the $70 price tag for brunch was in poor taste.
A really great performance by all.
Really like this place...had short ribs and fried chicken app...both were wonderful. Server was exceptional with timing, since we were going to the Kravis Center for a show...would definitely return again.
We both absolutely loved this find! The food was excellent, the service was excellent and the crafted cocktails were delicious. Thank you, we will be back the next time we are in Palm Beach.
If I could change anything about this place aside from asking for a closer to us (NE Broward) location , it would be the noise level. Fortunately we had an early reservation- 6:15 pm. When we arrived, we opted to sit in the bar area because the dining room was a little too lively for conversation. The bar offers a stylish and comfy option for seating so we worked it out that way.
As a hearing impaired person, I was pleased the hostess was able to provide a quite place(for a while) to enjoy and exceptional meal. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and the size of portions. We opted for the pimento cheese, shrimp scampi toast and fried chicken appetizers, all were perfect in both taste and portion size. I had the pork knuckle opting for potatoes instead of polenta,(good choice for me). Only problem was the lack of juice or gravy for the almost dry meat that was wonderfully tasty. My wife opted for the pork milanese which was near perfect. As it was our anniversary, the chef opted to provide a complimentary dessert. The carrot cake was terrific. Will return asap.
Third time here and we love the execution of the dishes on Chef Lindsay Autry's unusual twist on a Southern Menu.
The menu sets up as: Warm and Soulful, From The Pantry, Green an Things and Mains.
Dishes are a little larger than Tapas (except for the Mains).
You can have a wonderful meal from two of the first three and maybe share a third.
Or go traditional with a starter and a Main.
We will be back!
