The Regional Kitchen & Public House
probably the worst restaurant i've ever eaten in, just terrible
Took a beautiful piece of fish & fried it. terrible
my wife dish just as bad
really 0 stars
Tge most tender grilled Octopus I have ever had. Creatively presented. The Bone Marrow and short rib were beyond expectations. The Baratta and Heirloom grape tomatoes was wonderful. 2nd time I have eaten here and you can bet it won't be the last.
As always great food, great service. Always a perfect experience.
Great location right next to the theatre, however this restaurant is poorly managed. We arrived on time for our reservation and waited in front for several minutes before finally asking several employees to help seat us. Once seated we were given two menus, neither of which contained a cocktail or beer list. We ordered the Grilled Octopus appetizer. For $16 it should be more than two bites. Portion was ridiculously small. We had steak and chicken for main course both were average or below. Steak was $40 and at that price you can go next door to Ruth Chris and get a phenomenal steak. This was on par with an Applebee’s. Stopped by the men’s room on the way out and it was a mess. We will find a new pre theatre restaurant for the future.
The food was VERY tasty. The soup was not hot enough. The portions were a bit small. The service was good. It’s a bit noisy, so hard to hear conversation. Overall the experience was positive and we would give it another try.
Regional Kitchen lives up to its reputation for unique southern dishes using local ingredients.
Very good service, finr wine list, pleasant seating on the patio.
Public House is a pre-Kravis restaurant with excellent, unique food offerings, a spirited bar scene, and competent service.
Went here for pre theater dinner on my wife's birthday. Service was excellent.
Good food- good to go when you’re seeing a show at Kravis center.
We had a delightful experience. Service was warm and personal, and the food was delicious, especially the table side pimiento cheese. Great wine list too, with great suggestions by Christian. Will definitely recommend to friends and will return next visit to PB.
The food and ambiance is fantastic! A great spot for brunch before going to theater at the Kravis!
Menu very limited. Healthy choices not available.
Birthday- say at the bar. Very comfortable and much quieter than the restaurant. Food was excellent.
we arrived way early and sat in bar area, the place was packed on a Saturday night. we were seated in a back area with a service bar and about 10 tables at 7:30 for a 7:45 reservation thru Open Table. waitress took our order of an appetizer of pimento cheese prepared table-side and a salad and we were sharing the Cobia entree. everything was fine till after the salad course. after awhile we noticed all the tables in this back room had cleared out and we had not received our entree, a table of four that was left in the room received their entrees shortly after their salads. after about 30 - 35 minutes we started getting antsy, of course the waitress was nowhere to be found. eventually she appeared and i motioned with pleading arms and she said it should be right out she would check. i took approximately another 15-20 minutes before we received our entree minus our side of risotto, that came as we were finishing our cobia which was very good as was the other plates. but we didn't enjoy it as we were digesting our salad, our anger and app.
i guess one entree was not important enough for the kitchen and they serviced tables of multiple entrees before ours. IT IS WHAT IT IS.
The waitress brought the manager over who offered a free desert but by this time all we wanted was our check, which he did alter generously, but we left with a bad taste in our mouths.
its their loss there are so many choices in and around city place that next time we will try a different place.
Saturday 7pm reservations. Had drinks at the bar while waiting for our table . Friendly bartender, good drinks. Very busy. We had the cobia and short rib for mains. Short rib was delicious. For starters we had the octopus. Was overly salty ( was better first time I had it there) and the fried chicken thighs. They were ok . Nothing great. Our sever was excellent
Out with friends.... service very poor. Noise level unacceptable. Food ok
Wonderful meal great Service
Food was outstanding for both of us. We started out at the bar as we were a bit early for our OT reservation. When it came time to be seated there was a long line of people checking in, so we decided to eat at the bar. The service there was slow and it was difficult to get anyone's attention due no eye contact and noise level when calling out. All in all - very good ... we will go back!!
Service was very good even though it was very busy. Shrimp toast is always my favorite along with parker house rolls-which should be free. Steak and Chicken and Snapper all well presented and delicious. Potatoes served with steak are divine. My husband had tomato soup and he loved it.
We really enjoy the Regional. Their food is consistently delicious and the service is always outstanding. We appreciated the prix-fixe menu before our last visit to the Kravis. My only suggestion would be to keep the bar open until 11pm on weekends. We were looking for somewhere to go after the show for a quick drink and were disappointed to find the door locked (even though there were a few patrons inside). Several other people had the same idea but ended up going elsewhere. The Regional may be missing out on some after-show business!
Everything we ordered was fabulous! And I love the clean fresh look of the restaurant!
It was our favorite meal in West Palm Beach.
Wonderful food, great ambiance, fun vibe and fantastic service!
Our service was mediocre at best. The salmon itself was good but the food under it was barely there. I know the Regional can do better!
Great change from standard steakhouse
I always enjoy the food here. I had the roasted red pepper soup and the low country boil. They were both very good, but I wish they had been served warmer. The soup and the broth for the boil are each added to the dish at the table. If the had been warmer it would have made them more enjoyable for my taste. My wife had the yellow-tail which was very good. We will continue to come and enjoy the food.
Excellent food and good service. It is a bit noisy, so it made it difficult to carry on a conversation across the table.
Extremely limited menu. Ingredients very unusual. If you like fried chicken you’ll be happy.
Very interesting menu, loved having so many options. The food was fresh and delicious. Please to return. Great spot before Kravis!
Food and service were quite good. However, the noise level is extremely high, very hard to have a conversation, and to make it worse, the music was loud and not appropriate.
Great food great service. Good atmosphere. Music too loud
The food and the service were good but several more healthy choices would have been nice. Too many fried entrees. Weird having to pay extra for rolls. I had to read through the menu several times before figuring out whatI would order, but once I did, everything was very tasty and well prepared.
Dinner with friends
We chose this place because it was in walking distance to the Kravis Center and it had favorable reviews. We had been to Cafe Boulud for lunch. Never expected that the food here was better! The people next to us raved about the tomato pie as an appetizer. It was wonderful and so we decided to order what they had ordered which our terrific waiter (Alexander I believe)recommended. We had cobia and the rib eye steak. Both were outstanding.
Also they had a house sauce which looked like hot sauce but was more vinegary than hot. The bottle was on the table . We liked it so much we bought three bottles. The couples on each side were enjoying their meals so much we all engaged in friendly conversation. A real fun evening. Oh, they also loved the rolls which we did not have but came out freshly baked.
The menu was great. There were so many delicious dishes, it was difficult deciding what to order. We had three appetizers: clams with pasta which was very good... not the traditional linguine but a kind of twisted pasta. Our favorite was the grilled octopus which was divine and fried green tomatoes with a flavorful salad. Our server was attentive and helpful. The wine was perfectly chilled... we chose the Voignier white wine.
Great place. My favorite meal in west palm beach
New Year’s Day brunch for my wife and I. The food was fantastic, our server was knowledgeable and friend and the Restaurant was not quit , but not noisy enough to stop conversation. I love this place as it blends comfort foot with local sourced ingredients and little innovations that keep the taste fresh.
Great restaurant. Excellent food and service. The Roasted Bone Marrow is outrageous.
New Years Eve dinner. Service pleasant but slow, dirty dishes on service station near us, food ok.
My family went here for New Year’s Eve food was amazing, service was great, felt slightly rushed, downside was the womens bathroom was out of order overflowing and had to share the men’s, but it didn’t work out too well... bathroom issues in an eating establishment is never a good combo.. an unfortunate problem for the restaurant on our first experience there.
Excellent food and service is very attentive. Everything we tried tasted delicious- must try pimento cheese- best I have ever tasted.
