   x7 person group enjoyed a Sunday roast post marathon. Quality of the meats was superb. Best roast dinner I have eaten outside of my own home

   We are a group of five school friends from many years ago! Exceptional service and food served by the lovely Lucy - a credit to the Refuge. Lunch was amazing, the venue very welcoming. We could actually talk and hear each other. We had a two hour window but did not feel rushed in any way. Highly recommended. We will be back, next time with our other two friends.

   We flew in for a weekend in Manchester from Spain. I booked our reservation online a week before so we could have a Sunday lunch before we left. Myself and my partner chose the platter and wow it was great! Plenty of food for two people and very tasty. We were going to order starters but glad we didn’t as we wouldn’t of had room to enjoy our mains 😁 we shall visit again next time.

   Food quality and selection has gone down markedly from previous visits as well as the beers available. Service wasn't great either.

   Refuge restaurant is housed in a wonderful building full of beautiful original tiles on the walls, high ceilings and spacious rooms. The service is excellent with friendly helpful staff and a kitchen that doesn't keep you waiting. We had a selection of small plates and all of the dishes we chose were all delicious

    We had a fantastic anniversary dinner at Refuge! We sat in the Winter Garden area and it’s so stunning. We had the Sunday roast menu and Ebony who served our table was so lovely and kind! She made the experience even better. The roast was incredible, well cooked and full of flavour. We will definitely be back soon!
