Famous for reimagining the classics, Refuge gives the traditional Caesar salad an upgrade – swapping out the usual grilled chicken breast for crispy, golden buttermilk fried chicken - a bold take on a familiar favourite. Available every Tuesday from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, diners can enjoy this standout Caesar, complete with parmesan alongside a glass of pale rosé, all for just £18 per person.

Wonderfully delicious proper Sunday roast!! Worth the round trip from Australia. The chicken roast was a very generous serving, super delicious, and staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if in Manchester!

Whole experience was a little lack-lustre. No atmosphere and food was okay at best. Considering we’d read articles and reviews stating this was ‘one of the best roasts in Manchester’ the ‘platter’ (which was basically a big plate with some meat and a tiny amount of veg) for two was a disappointment. Not sure we’ll be back any time soon!

The sharing Sunday Roast is great value unfortunately on this occasion the beef was over cooked and impossible to chew, but I would go again. Suggest the dish is served without the gravy as it makes the potatoes go soggy and as it goes cold it chills everything

We’d never been in Refuge before and it’s a beautiful building for a bar/restaurant to be in. The guy who served us was great and the food was proper tasty. The sunday roast for two is loads of food so you’ll stuffed after it

Great space, superb service, plenty of different seating options. A focused but interesting menu, same for the wine list. Priced to keep the punters away which is a plus.

All around excellent choice for Sunday lunch - great food, great staff, great music in lovely surroundings. We ate in the winter garden and it was nice and cool on a very hot day! We will definitely come again and try the cocktail menu next time.
