Excellent service and the food is amazing! I absolutely loved the meal and the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff is warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is stellar.
Sorry to see this restaurant close. One of the best.
One of my favorite restaurants. Sad to see it close.
I moved to Tampa by way of Indianapolis in 2013, the refinery was the first restaurant I went too. I fell in love with the ambiance (old location) and the revolving menu. It quickly became my sanctuary and comfort spot to go to after a long day at work, when I had family visit, friends visiting, trying to introduce my new friends to my “home” away from home so to speak. This past Friday my last dinner at my favorite place was amazing! Hey chef!? That banana pudding tiramisu was sinfully delicious!!! I wish the chef and his wife well, I’m excited for their next ventures, but I’ll be lying if I didn’t say how much I’ll miss them and my sanctuary away from my daily madnesses.... thanks for the memories and so many exquisite epicurean experiences that I cannot begin to count them all up.
It was awesome, I am so sorry they are closing.
Awesome as always. It's a shame the restaurant will be closing at the end of the month.
Food was amazing from drinks to dessert. So sad that this place will be shutting its doors soon.
The Chef never fails to delight the palate. Love how the menu changes and makes me want to go back when ever it changes. The Refinery never fails in food and service.

Food was absolutely bland. Not even salt. Waitress was sweet but no where to be found after taking our order. Manager was aware of our complaints, and he was graciously apologetic. Since we didn’t even go past two bites, he didn’t charge us. He gave us dessert on the house. Unfortunately, the brownie mole was quite undercooked in the center. Truly regret coming here!
Food was amazing as well as service. Love the new concept where menu changes almost monthly. Had Chasing Venus Sauvignon Blanc which was a great crisp New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc as well as the Black’s Station Cabernet. Fantastic Cabernet from YOLO county that over delivers for the $. Come support this local business.
Terrible Tex mex food that’s was marginally preferable to hunger.
Patio floor was full of ants with no reaction from restaurant’s staff to it. Wine list quite short but probably the best part of it. Will not coming back and will not recommend.
4 friends dining. The entire experience was perfect. I plan to return soon!
The TexMex menu is outstanding. Get the brownie and fried ice cream.
Best chef and staff in Seminole Heights!
This was my choice for Father’s Day. I had not been in a while nor had their brunch. The printed menu was limited but representative of the online information. I arrived with the corned beef hash in mind. Sold out. Understandable with 45 minutes left in this seating but a tad disappointed. The specials saved the day. I had a crispy qual with a honey laced corn cake. Think chicken and waffles but instead moist qual and sweet corn pudding, only better. Fingers required. My daughter enjoyed the oyster stew on a bed of grits. Had to think a moment between fishy and briny. Once you understand Briny is a flavor you will mavel at this dish and the succulent orbs. Don’t be afraid just take that second bite. Finally their version of a Mc Muffin on steroids. I will take my Daughter’s companion word “It was good.” The white grits in the stew and served separately in a cup with the MacGuffin were made by a true grit maker. Creamy not too tight and flavorful. No room for desert. Good staff service. Good Bloody Mary. I will not wait so long to return.
Brunch is the reason my husband and I wanted to try The Refinery. It’s a well appointed restaurant with a pleasant ambiance. The food was very well prepared and delicious. My husband had the biscuits and sausage gravy with eggs and potato leek hash which was tasty. My eggs were soft scrambled and perfect. The grits which I must say I’m rather picky about were a little under done for my taste however a very interesting variation. The only thing we didn’t enjoy were the biscuits. They needed more seasoning and better texture. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We would like to come back for dinner next time. Overall The Refinery is worth the trip!
Limited menu, but good choices and different from the norm.
Always a great experience at The Refinery. Delicious food options for the whole family, great service, relaxing atmosphere. One of my favorite places to dine in Tampa/St. Pete.
The cocktails are fantastic, food is delicious, and they even have a kids menu at dinner.
Great food for brunch as always. If we could find one "ding", the biscuits were a bit dense.
We tried the Refinery for the first time during restaurant week and we will definitely be back. The best course was the green beans with lemon garlic ice cream - really exceptional flavor!
The food definitely wasn’t that great. I expected more with a smaller menu but the food just simply wasn’t that good.
Was a fun place to go for drinks and dinner, but the food was kind of hit or miss, and the prices pretty high for the quality of food. For example, clams appetizer would have been delicious if it was less a plate of French fries. Sliced pork portion was small and dry, although the accompanying cabbage was delicious. The potatoes were very salty. Another's veggie dish was very good. One dessert was large portion and very good (bananas/chocolate), the other was small and boring (berries with cream and crumble). Bill with tip was more than $100, which included 1 glass of wine and 1 craft beer. Bartenders and waitress very knowledgeable and friendly. Place was fun. Wish the food was better for the price, or more mainstream priced for the quality it is.
The food here is so amazing. We all enjoyed every bite of our meal!
Service was fantastic but I wasn't impressed with the burger or fish and chips. The salad on the British pub menu was fantastic though!
As always, the food was outstanding as well as the service. My favorite weekly place to eat!
I love this place. I have been for brunch twice now and dinner once. The food is great, the staff are super friendly and welcoming. If you haven't tried it yet you need to do so.
Very good, this a good value for money. Maybe the seasoning could be more intensive
Most times the menu is excellent. Unfortunately the food was bland for the Creole menu. Bread pudding was literally like French toast. Was disappointed to be honest. Our server was aces tho
dessert was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 star fabulous! next time we are ordering the meal backwards. no way would you want to miss out on the buttermilk ice cream or chocolate pecan pie or the bread pudding. i wish you served coffee/espresso with dessert. this would warrant a five star overall rating. Meal was great. We plan to return again.
Always great food, atmosphere, drinks and service!
We went to the restaurant on one of the last nights of the tour of Central Italy. Our food was very good, especially the short rib. Our server Chad was very good and attentive.
Excellent food. Wish there were more non-pork options.
The short rib and sword fish dishes were an explosion of heavenly flavor with each bite. The service was perfection. My cocktail "A taste of summer" was just the right mix.
Nice restaurant with great service and ambiance. The food selection was a little limited and pricey at this time... but overall we enjoyed it.
Great food and Great Service, Prefer to seat inside in a hot day , outdoor area needs more fans and more decor.
We had a great experience. We brought our 2 year old with us for a mother's day brunch and it was very appropriate environment wise. Unfortunately they did not have a menu for young kids so we had to stop and get her lunch on the way home. That was my fault I should have looked in to the menu before booking the reservation.
Excellent food, and waiter.. great craft beers. It was the first at the Refinery and I look forward to returning.
I enjoyed my meal. My guest did not. We enjoyed the appetizers and wine selections that remained available. We were early diners and they said they were out of dessert and certain wines. Lastly, they show where meals are $$30 and under. Correction: each of the four courses are $$30 and under. Expect to pay anywhere from $85-$100 per person. Overall it was good and we would be willing to try it again at the beginning of a two week menu cycle when more options are available.
