The Refinery in Spinningfields is a chic drinking and dining spot with quirky cocktails and great food. Right on Hardman Street in one of Manchester’s most buzzing spots, head to The Refinery Spinningfields whatever time of day, whether that’s for breakfast or for drinks, because quality is to be expected around the clock. On the main menu there’s everything from vibrant salads and grain bowls to pulled beef brisket or tandoori monkfish curry, then there’s also plenty of gourmet sandwiches and burgers, or smaller things to nibble on. In terms of drinks, the wine and cocktail list is extremely impressive, with classic and twisted signature cocktails both making a strong showing. We booked through open table about a month before and when we go there they said they had no booking in my name and that there was nothing we can do, was so upsetting as we looked forward to it for a while and as it was the last Friday before Christmas everywhere else was booked up. There was no help given or even if we could get squeezed in, bad service

I do love The Refinery I have been a couple of times now, everything is lovely, setting, ambience, staff. However this time I was quite disappointed with the price of the main meal and what I actually got. I ordered the pan fried salmon which states it comes with cauliflower - trying to be healthy! However it literally came with salmon and three tiniest pieces of cauliflower and I was charged £13.95. I would've been happier with more on my plate for £14. I think mains are overpriced for what you get, you NEED side orders to feel like you've had meal. Other than that everything was great.
