Our party of 8 had to choose other cocktails because of the lack of bar stock.
No Rye whiskey for Manhattans for example.
Good service. Redfish was a bit fishy and shrimp brochettes had ash on them from cooking so the flavor was poor.
Food was just ok. Waitress was nice Location is in a shopping center.
First time going to the Reel. Enjoyed the food and service. Will go again.
The seafood and soup were excellent. Service was also very good.
Easter dinner. Enjoyed the classical guitar player on the patio a lot!
As always, terrific food and good service. Every team member worked to make sure our dinner was wonderful!
Consistently good food and service! One of our date night favs!
We loved it! And the serve was great. That combined with yummy mixed fajita’s made for a fun evening.
Food was great and we enjoyed listening to the music!
The food, the service and the wine selection was all just above average. I’m not sure I’d return; especially driving in from Austin.
Weekly date night
The service, food, drinks, and entertainment were great. My favorite was the peach Sangria. Flavors were well balanced and it was refreshing. It was perfect end to a beautiful day sitting on the patio and enjoying live music that still allowed for conversations.
Madison was our server and did a great job in taking care of us on our anniversary
Good dinner and not too loud or crowded. Could have had more waitress staff
Service was fast even though they were very busy. Servers were attentive to our needs.
Great food and great service. Sat outside to listen to the live music and it was a lovely evening. My only complaint was that the first cocktail I ordered (a specialty martini) tasted a bit watery. Otherwise everything else was delicious.
Great Live Music. Delicious food
Great evening! Thank You!
We had a very good experience. It was a little cold in the restaurant, but the food was great as always.
When we arrived at the Reel on Friday night, we were so delighted that we had made reservations because there were many people waiting for tables. The hostess showed us to our table within 3 minutes. Food was delicious! We will definitely reserve with Open Table the next time we go out in the evening. Thanks so much!
Felt like we were being rushed out. We ordered drinks and appetizers, and asked that they wait to send out the entree. We had barely taken a bite of our appetizer before the entree came out. We had ordered the redfish ponchartrain, and it was completely unappetizing. The redfish had obviously been sitting out long before we ordered and was dry and hard. The “lump crab” was a couple of small shreds of crab, floating in a bland green sauce. We gave our feedback to the manager and he gave us a $30 gift card as an apology, which was a nice gesture, but I doubt we will go back.
We had to reschedule our original date due to inclement weather. The menu looked great online, so we were excited to try it. The food was very blah, not very much flavor and just not at all what we expected. The seafood “fondue” was not a creamy cheesy fondue at all. It was just ingredients with cheese melted over the top that we literally had to cut up with a fork and knife. My husband’s fish was super fishy which indicates it was frozen and then thawed to cook. His Jambalaya was bland. My seafood enchiladas had no seafood inside (only cheese), but did have shrimp and crawfish on top. Our waitress was fantastic though and took great care of us. She was the redeeming quality of the evening!
We were seated and were not asked what we wanted to eat or drink for over 15 minutes. Only then we were asked because I flagged our waitress down. People seated after us had already ordered so this is totally unacceptable and bad business practice. To make matters worse our food order was not correct upon arrival but we ate in silence. I will share this horrible service to anyone and all whom ask!!! Shame on you The Reel
The Reel is one of favorite local restaurants which we visit weekly however, they have major disconnect when using OpenTable for reservations. Far to often we arrive having made dining reservation only to learn that the hostess did not see or set our preferred seating arrangement. Once again last week on Tuesday, Feb. 23 I made a very specific table and server request in my OpenTable reservation. Upon arrival we were seated in a much convenience of the OpenTable app but the lack of follow-up by the participating restaurant such as the Reel Seafood Restaurant is frustration and disappointing.
I took my friend for her birthday dinner. We decided this place was the right place because they offered blue point oysters. They were so fresh.
The sauces were matched perfectly with the fresh fish.
This is upscale dining. However there are plates starting at $15. I chose the Mahi Mahi Boudreau, my friend choose the trout.
I would highly recommend skipping past the chain seafood restaurants and choose The Reel. You will not be disappointed.
Probably the best raw gulf oysters I have ever had. Large, fresh, and no pieces of shell in the meat area unlike another place in town.
Food was ok. Our server was nice but clearly overwhelmed. Had to ask for menu, had to ask for bread twice, got our food but had to ask for silverware twice.
Wonderful evening. Garrett was a great server, outdoor patio was fantastic (albeit the heaters might’ve been a turned up a little too hot). Food great, drinks great. They were out of jalapeño tequila for the Mexi-Martinis, just means I’ll have to go back again
I was very pleased the entire experience at the Reel Seafood. Service was great, our server was so pleasant and efficient, and fun. The food itself was awesome! Considering all that was ordered, the price was good too.
Fine dining prices for a regular shopping center restaurant. Food was edible but nowhere near the equivalent to the cost. Our server may have been new. He was nice enough but did not know the menu and we saw him rarely. Had to ask twice for refills. The restaurant was clean and staff were friendly.
Never disappointed!
Christmas Eve
Excellent food and server!
Food, service, price, and ambiance were outstanding - this time and every time we come. The Reel has become our "default" restaurant. We come here more than any other restaurant. We will be back soon.
Everything was great but our service was very slow. Took forever to get a second drink and our appetizer which was a dozen oysters on the half shell. Others were checked on to and three times before we were checked on once. Other than that the food was delicious and we definitely will go back
food was not up to par .. probably will not go there again
Absolutely LOVED the food. The waitress was great, the mood was perfect. We had a great evening.
Good food, great service but a bit pricey
Very good option if you are looking for a Cajun inspired seafood restaurant that is pretty low key. Very good menu selection. I would not hesitate to visit again if in the area. The calamari appetizer was good and our party of 4 all enjoyed their main course.
Was a great evening, food was great, amazing guitar player every Saturday night!
